The Cowboys had no answer for my boy A. Jones who recorded 4 touchdowns while the Smiths wrecked disaster on D. Prescott and the Cowboys O line.
Dak really bought into his own hype. I don't know if Jerry Jones still wants to pay him after seeing him against decent QBs

Back to back games where he has faced quality defenses he has faltered, albeit I must say he did better against the Saints in comparison to the trash he played yesterday. The man is betting against himself for his quid and Jones himself is a gambler/ risktaker but it is a big risk and I hope he gets paid. There was something SAS said this morning that is quite interesting that no one seems to be asking and that is "How much was the guaranteed sum the Cowboys offered Dak that he rejected?" He looked terrible throwing the ball yesterday and for the sake of his quid, I hope he does not repeat such performance.

How about D. Watson? That man is legit!!!!!! Watching him gives me so much joy!!! The kid threw for 5 TD's and over 400 yards!!! I rate him higher than P. Mahomes and this is not a slight on Mahomes because I also rate Mahomes but D. Watson can kill you in so many ways.

you cant use this game alone as a way to judge his skills. Remember, Aaron Rogers had similar "struggles" last season - but simple things like O-line and offensive schemes can make a very good QB look ordinary. Dak is good, max contract good, and he will get paid wether its Dalls or elsewhere

Guy make we leave that story. If you said the QB market is what it is then that is a much better argument but don't tell me Dak is a max contract guy. I no buy that one at all

The reason why Dak will get paid is really due to the inflated QB market and the genuine scarcity of quality QBs in today's league.

While I think Aaron Rodgers is overhyped if you give him Ezekiel Elliott and Amari Cooper he would do much much better than Dak is doing now.

If anyone is being held back by O-LINE struggles it should be someone like Deshaun Watson not dink and dunk Dak

Dak is a game manager and like Max said that term is not a crime. He will be making an egregious mistake trying to pull off passing stunts and trying to do beyond his level just to look good. I remember people were shouting when he was blowing out the Redskins, Dolphins and Giants and I warned them to wait till they faced decent squads.

I guess it's an ego thing and I would be a terrible agent if I represented Dak and took less than what the Rams and Eagles gave Wentz and Goff. Remember he's also been woefully underpaid his first 3 years. However he needs to strike a balance, he's making good money off the field just by being the Cowboys QB

I don't know if Deshaun is quite Mahomes level. Mahomes is the most naturally gifted QB I've ever seen. I do think Watson is already a top tier QB though and might be even better with a half decent O-LINE (he holds on to the ball a little too long at times) but he's definitely the 3rd best black QB after Mahomes and Russell Wilson

You make a terrific point about Russel. Russel Wilson’s successful career which culminated in winning a SuperBowl opened doors for black QB’s in the modern era. His role in this narrative is under rated and rarely spoken about in my opinion. He changed the perspective about color and that position. The QB used to be exclusively for Whites even when they were horrible. Today we have C. Newton, D. Watson, P. Mahomes, D. Prescott, J. Winston, J. Brissett, L. Jackson, K. Murray and they are all starting QB’s in the NFL. This is unprecedented and atoms can be traced to the success of Wilson.

we are saying the same thing. he is a top qb,. maybe its because there are few quality qbs. maybe hes really that good. he will get paid a lot. a lot

i think that jinx was broken by donovan mcnabb. Wilson did not catch one tenth of the crap mcnabb caught. By the time Wilson was in the league, that fight was done imo.

anyone remember rush limbaugh used to be a football commentator until his black qb statements?

I get what you are saying about McNabb but McNabb's success did not translate into having more black QB's in the league, worth more starting QB roles. My argument is not about what Black QB's went through because players like McNabb paved the way for others. It is more so whose success translated into having teams become open and flexible to the idea of having a black QB as the franchise player and not just a roster back up. After McNabb, the NFL was still very wary of a black QB and it did not provide much 1st time opportunities, worth more 2nd opportunities for the likes of M. Vick. Today we have 9 starting QB's, see my post before this one, it would be 10 next week when Haskins stars for the Redskins, we are talking 10 starting QB's in a 32 team league and it can be attributed to the doggedness of Wilson and how he has carried himself. While times have changed and can not be compared to the past, there are more open conversations about racism, it is still rifle in our country.

I still think he is fortunate to be playing behind the best O-Line and a top 3 running back in the league. He's a good QB but definitely not top. Not Mahomes, Russell and honestly not Deshaun Watson level.

He will get paid because it's a QB's league. No one is disputing that

We have had quite a few black QBs in the past. I won't necessarily say he solely opened the doors but that the black QBs simply got much much better and more skilled as passers.

Guys like Kordell Stewart, Cunningham, Culpepper were starting QBs that came around before Vick but neither of them were prolific pocket passers and never got the respect the white QBs got because of their passing deficiencies. The only black QBs that got any real credit were guys like McNair who was MVP once and Donovan McNabb.

Though we also had some spectacular black QB flops (Jamarcus Russell) who didn't just lack talent but the work ethic as well that strongly hurt how black QBs were perceived. And then Mike Vick lol

I will not put this revolution solely on Russell but he definitely played an important role especially due to his squeaky clean persona and abilities too

It's like the world doesn't understand the Chinese people.
They all think in one direction. That's the only way they could have been what they are. You can't let 1.7billion people have democracy, free thought or free speech. It's a disaster. Morey, like the average American doesn't understand this. He thinks speaking freely about America has the same meaning to Chinese people. He is wrong. The Chinese people have grown up to believe that anything which threatens their government's position or power, unity or collective idea is a taboo. The thought or expression of the idea is not welcome anywhere around them. Call it being brainwashed, enslaved or whatever like many Americans call it. They don't care.
Morey should have minded his business. Americans should learn to mind their business as well and I hope Trump doesn't say something stupid. Obviously, the Chinese organizations and the people are overreacting with just one tweet but that's how a successful communist society will react when your idea is different from theirs. And they find if very disrespectful to think they are enslaved or need freedom like Morey and many people feel. They don't. For their population, they act more sane than most 'free' countries. Hong Kong is not Morey's or America's business.
Adam Silver did his best. I don't know why Americans are angry at him like they'll replace whatever money the NBA lost.
Now I can't watch NBA games after paying One Year VIP subscription just weeks ago and won't get a refund because of this nonsense. embarassed embarassed
