KarnBarlow:For this, we agree |

Eruditor:So what you are saying is people shouldnt talk about a players potential at all? Talk about knee jerk arguments. This literally makes no sense at all! |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 11:51pm On Oct 29, 2019 |
Every current great NBA player was compared to someone in their early days. We hear lonzo being compared to jason kidd, simmons to lebron, embiid to hakeem, giannis to dominique, what is so bad about that? Some have lived up to (or surpassed) it and some havent. We have seen players being compared to legends better than curry will ever be, did the heavens fall then? so why shouldnt we say a player can be as good as or better than steph? what nonsense? you can argue that a player is more of one player than another player but saying you cant speculate about a players ceiling is about the largest pile of guff i've ever heard. Sincerely, this Trae potential should not be an argument na. There is nothing wrong with the comparison as per the potential of Trae, the boy is good, really good. Was it not in the same league we could not hear word when Lonzo was drafted? And even Zion now, is he not being compared to great players. The comparison should attest to how great everyone sees Curry and not anything else. But Trae has been consistent and that guy will be great (forget if he is being said to be as great as curry or Nash or whoever), so to say he has the potential to be as great a PG as Curry is a compliment and not the other way round. This should not even be an argument And I can say that after 3/4 games this season, I will rank Trae top 5 PGs at the moment this season, still early, but I am entitled to my opinion. I don't know if anything will happen later on in the season but at the moment, he's consistent. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 1:34am On Oct 30, 2019 |
KarnBarlow:Both arguments are fair. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 1:43am On Oct 30, 2019 |
Seems Trae Young has Curry's ankles as well. Life is such a b-tch sometimes. Damn, really gutted for him. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 5:30am On Oct 30, 2019 |
AD is an unstoppable monster when he gets it going. Theres just no answer for him. This lakers defense is just something else when they turn it up. They just flat out smother people. And Javales defense has been very disappointing so far. Absolutely horrid, will stick stick with him though, i like Howard coming off the bench. |

Man untold you to look through your posts before replying, but you never learn. In this post post were you referring to passing skills? . You clearly stated ' who is the best point guard in the game?' not who is the best passer. If you were directly referring to passing here, why throw Kyrie in? Is he known for his passing vision . When talking about a universal set, you cannot give an examples of one subset, and then assume we know you are referring to another subject. What inconsistency. I hope this analogy is not lost on you. And don't tell me this was referring to another post cost clearly wasn't.0KarnBarlow: |

Now tell me where I stated Trae cannot end up better than Curry? I am not responsible for other FEW fans, so if they say anything quote them, not me. KarnBarlow: |

This is a warning to the rest of the league, Anthony Davis is coming for all of you. |

Now bron is turning things up! Dynamic Duo. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 5:44am On Oct 30, 2019 |

| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 5:45am On Oct 30, 2019 |
benji93:So saying Trae Young may throw himself into the discussion as one of the best PGs in the league this year is saying Trae Young is currently a top 5 PG in the league or that hes better than Steph? Bruh, this guy... Dude, I told you, you have a bone to pick with your english teacher. Embarrassing! |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 5:49am On Oct 30, 2019 |
benji93:LMAO, Do you even read what you type? You said we shouldnt say Trae can be as good as or better than curry did you not? Is that not what this is all about? Why shouldnt we? Heres a recommendation for you, like it or not, you need it.

steady986:Put up this line in 3 quarters. Scary thing is the team is shooting horribly from 3. So many open looks missed. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 6:03am On Oct 30, 2019 |
steady986:Great game however, he has been coming for the everyone since he entered the league. Before you'll come and tell us LeBron made Anthony what he is. ![]() |

BTW, Kuzma is about to return. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 6:39am On Oct 30, 2019*. Modified: 10:18am On Oct 30, 2019 |
Lebron promised to take a backseat and allow the offense to run through AD, i was skeptical but hes done just that. Tremendous self awareness, most great players find it difficult to pass the torch. He promised he would've have done that with Kyrie eventually but Kyrie... i still get pissed off when i think about the way he left and what could've been. I guess it worked out perfectly for everyone involved, they all ended up where they wanted to. As a Lebron fan i never thought i'd see the day where he'd be the second best player on a team, everyone knows how great AD is, and hes just 26 and about to reach his prime. He just never had a good team or a spotlight, now he has all of that and he looks like he wants to take full advantage. Kuzma will make some noise off the bench as well and his shot looks pure. The lakers will have a bench mob of their own. And the lakers coaching staff, so far they've made so many good in game adjustments. They've had some explosive 3rd quarters offensively and especially defensively. Great days ahead. On a different note, seems KCP is making shots again, trade him now while his stock is high because another slump is inevitable with this guy. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 6:40am On Oct 30, 2019 |
I just remembered KCP of all people has a friggin no trade clause. Friggin Rich Paul, SMH. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:03am On Oct 30, 2019 |
KarnBarlow:Yea, we need to fix that. And we need to quit starting games slow. |

Well I do understand you are a pest, all I need is a pesticide. . But you know stop ranting about AD, we do know how good he is. You are screaming as if he's not been doing that for a while. ![]() steady986: |

See, stop making a nuisance of yourself. This argument has lost it's purpose, you havevderailrd it. I quoted a comment where you clearly mentioned top 5 point guard, but you claimed you were talking about passing So quote one of my comments where I stated that Trae cannot become as good or even better than Curry. Shikena. KarnBarlow: |

20 FTs. James Harden type performance But hype on. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 9:32am On Oct 30, 2019 |
27 FTs actually In his defense he was getting clobbered and it was nothing like James Harden's type of fouls |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 9:41am On Oct 30, 2019 |
Paulo Costa out for the foreseeable future. Damnnn! Was really looking forward to him and Stylebender I want to see Izzy and Cannonier. No point putting Romero up there since he will never make weight and is too much of a vajayjay to move up to LH and fight his BFF Bones |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 10:16am On Oct 30, 2019 |
benji93: KarnBarlow:LOL This quote mentioned top 5 point guards? You seriously need help. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 10:26am On Oct 30, 2019*. Modified: 10:51am On Oct 30, 2019 |
Eruditor:Its AD man, FTs or not hes been putting up numbers like these for a very long time so what exactly about this is hype? If you think this is rare for him you are in for a rude awakening this season. Memphis decided to hack him cause they couldn't stop him, he didnt flop or wail, how is that a james harden type performance? But hate on. Warriors fans have become very bitter. |

A40:There are many words i can use to describe Yoel but that is not one of them. I think he just truly believes in his principles as far as fighting a friend. Ben and woodley said the same thing about each other as well and thats why ben was pushing for a 165 division. Truth is Yoel is on a losing streak, eluded father time for a very long time but father time is finally catching up to him and he has weight issues. I think as close as that costa fight was he lost that mysticism he had after the fight. And for one of the most accomplished wrestlers in the UFC the fact that he rarely even tries to take a fight to the ground is just disappointing. Cannonier has looked good recently and especially against the joker but he has KO power and thats it, i dont see anything that makes me think he can strike with israel. Whittaker put on a shameful performance so no one wants to see an immediate rematch. I think all those battles with yoel took a toll on his chin too. He has to work his way back up. Paulo costa was the only person who looked like a threat. I'd say right now i'm more intrigued by the winner of till vs gastelum especially if till wins in impressive fashion. Otherwise there is no one at 185 that seems like a proper threat to Israel. I know its MMA and anything can happen but israel is sitting pretty right now. As long as he stays as far away from Jon Jones as possible that is. He don't want that smoke. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 12:11pm On Oct 30, 2019 |
benji93:Fam, some folks here were questioning his mentality, just because he came from the Pels that had a sh*t team. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 12:46pm On Oct 30, 2019 |
KarnBarlow:Let's keep shyte real man. That whole buddy yarns flies out the window if he believes he can beat Bones. It's the freaking UFC not a tea party. To be fair to Yoel those were not your usual kind of losses. Some would tell you he won the second Whittaker fight, some crazier folks even swear he beat Borrachinha too. I think more people will want to see Stylebender vs Yoel than Stylebender vs Cannonier and in the end that's all that matters with Dana White. I mean hell he wanted to bring Brock friggin Lesnar to jump the queue and fight DC and right now has put the hottest fighter in the Heavyweight division in the freezer all for a Stipe vs FC trilogy. I have no qualms provided Yoel can make weight. If not then the fight is pointless KarnBarlow:Cannonier is my personal preference cos that muhfugga Yoel is a suspected juicer. Whittaker was too eager and I told you he would be Izzy's easiest fight as he stylistically plays into Izzy's hands. He's a volume striker fighting arguably the most accurate hitter the division has ever seen, it was always going to end in tearssss I don't buy the argument Whittaker's battles with Romero took a toll. He had more than enough time to recuperate and a chin is not what you lose. You either have it or you don't. He's not fought as many battles as Stylebender and is even younger. Yoel can get Izzy especially if he can still find his Ground n Pound. He throws bombs but for me he tends to fade later in fights. Izzy has shown he can take hits, which was my initial fear and if he can withstand the first 3 rounds then the fight is 80% won already. KarnBarlow:Every fighter is a threat but I especially don't write off these Brazilian ninjas. Don't forget the only person to ever drop Izzy in all of MMA was Brazilian KarnBarlow:Lol Bones is a flat track bully. What has to happen for this ninja to move to Heavyweight. How many more middleweights need to move up for him to realize the LH is a Ghost town right now. There is a reason he's had no fight lined up for almost 6 months after his last win. Dominik Reyes is really the only name you can bring up that's not laughable. I heard he walks around at 230 so why is he so scared to move to Heavyweight? Ironically I think he beats most of the Heavyweight guys out there so long as he doesn't stand and try to trade with them. His cardio would stand him in good stead and save for Ngannou who only needs one punch to send him to the nether realm I think he would be able to finesse a decision or even a submission on most of the rest This is why I respect your boy Canelo, taking real risks moving up to fight Kovalev at Light Heavyweight. What GGG failed to do in his prime |
