Hello team,

I need help in making up my mind on which school to go with BTW Robert Gordon and Leeds Beckett in terms of economic and living conditions in these towns. I would love where there's a thriving Nigeria community. I hear Aberdeen is crazily cold. Is Leeds any better? How about the teaching standards in both schools? ( both are within my tuition budget and offer d course I rreally want)

Would really love some headups to help me decide.
scotland is good, England is overpopulated with low job prospect. Aberdeen is not a good option in scotland, expensive lifestyle. Try GCU, UWS , uni. Sterling, all in scotland

Abeg make we dey fear God. So all of a sudden, it turns out that you not only know what a domiciliary account is you also know exactly what he was trying to do. cheesy cheesy cheesy

Which confirms my point that you were clearly trying to belittle him by telling him to explain what a domiciliary account is or if he operated a pounds domiciliary account in the UK (a country where the official currency is pounds).

Yet I am bias for calling you out on this. May God help us on how we try to twist the truth. I know as usually the moderator will drop his core duty and jump to your defence once again but the truth is plain for all to see.

Thank you.
We can get back to the core of this thread can we?
I look forward to seeing you provide used advice to prospective Tier-4 applicants.

Thanks and God Bless

Good day everyone.

My sister is a residence in UK, I intend staying with her. But, for my interview, should I state that I will be staying with my sister or will it (saying I will stay with my sister) have any negative effect on my visa? As they would deem it that since I have someone there, that I may not come back

Thank you

First, you need to know that though you would be staying at your Sisters', you must still show your proof of maintenance fund added to tuition for 28days.
And Yes you can tell the interviewer you would be staying with your sister.

Your reply could be something along the lines of:
Interviewer: And where would you be staying whilst in the UK?

Nedu20: I do have a sister that is resident in the UK. In the short term, I would briefly stay with my sister while I sort out my own Accomodation in the halls of residence provided by my uni.
Or
While I finalise my own Accomodation from a few adverts I have seen online (Rightmove or Zoopla or Gumtree or AirBnB

Hopefully, you had stated on the form that you have a sister in the UK?

Dear prospective T4 -Visa applicant.
If your aim is to go to the UK to get a fantastic degree:

1. choose the great schools.
2. Choose fantastic (and relevant) course of study.

If your ‘ulterior motive’ is to use Tier -4 route to migrate, make sure your obtain skills in professions with shortages (Medicine, Nursing, Engineering, Software development, etc).

Be very strategic in the ‘student jobs’ you engage in. Care Work, Security Jobs, Hospitality jobs, Retail jobs etc are always on the front -burner and very easy to get. But those jobs are not very likely to give you an advantage after your study.

Yes, Very true. Please Let me add more to that.

Teaching is also another shortage profession, most especially Physics, Mathematics and science .

If you have BSc Ed or BEd. Please kindly register with Teachers' Registration council of Nigeria and get the certificate before migrating to UK.

Thank you

Thank you so much. Please do have an idea of how media houses operate in the UK? Do they accept international students after studying masters in journalism.

I worked as a journalist in Nigeria for two years before I started my own businesses.

Thinking of applying to university of cardiff and conventry university since they have internship.

Just wanted to find out if there are job opportunities for journalists because I want to go back to media and I also wanted find out if I can move my businesses to UK as well.

Good afternoon everyone. I counted my 28 days with the money required but a few days to the end, I received some payments in my account. So I'm confused as to what balance to write. If I use my current closing balance, would it been seen as not being up to 28 days?

You are not required to write any balance.

Really? From what I hear, we are supposed to convert our closing balance. Then write the balance in pounds out on the statement. Isn't that right?

You have a problem.
A Good problem.

Money entering Is a Good problem.
Money leaving the account (and the total falling below the threshold) is a Bad problem.

So you're saying it doesn't matter right? New money entering won't prolong my 28 days?

You are the one who will pick your 28 days .... so for example you know best when the minimum amount needed was in your account then count 28 days later.ie if its 10million... all you need to worry is not money coming in or money going out per say ...but that the daily balance never for one minute was less than it the minimum money you must have ie that 10million. It can be more than 10million but never one naira less

1. You Applied to ARU (Anglia Ruskin University?).
2. You were Denied Admission
3. You now THINK that you were denied because you mentioned that you were previously denied a German Visa

What is the relationship between offer of Admission and Previous visa denial (albeit in a different country)?

My dear. If you seek answers and solutions on a public forum (like Nairaland), I think it will do you (and others) a lot of good if you state things frankly, correctly and clearly.
This your story does NOT add up.

On the ARU online admission portal, there is No where that you are asked about visa denials.

Since you said ARU Denied you admission, one is tempted to ask how they conveyed the denial to you. And the conveyance of the denial was so vague that you are even AFTER the denial, you are still in the realm of speculation by THINKING about the reason behind the denial.

My suggestion:
If you want useful help, provide useful coherent story.
