OMANBALA1:Mazi.....I don't know how to sugarcoat the truth oooo. you see Delta state is one of the few states in Nigeria with high level of literacy and the people there do go to school but the corruption in their heart and blood is second to none....likewise bayelsa state...and Edo state also come in distance 3rd. corruption amongst this folks is sickening... warri north is the richest LGA in Nigeria with allocation of over 5B naira annually but go there....you'll see nothing to show for it... when the money comes.... the youth leaders, chiefs and all will rather want their cuts instead of channelling the money for development and capital projects....likewise bayelsa where the warlords all have certain percentage from the state budget.... the budget of this two states is more than of many Africa countries but you won't see anything to show for it.... Mazi just imagine the asaba stadium the shameless delta government serve the super eagles for the few matches played so far.... and what pains me most is that the governor will still come sit in such a stadia not worthy to be a European team training pitch..to watch the super eagles struggle to play in such turf.... it is shameful.... corruption smells in Niger Delta with the headquarter in Delta State...remember then in my school Nadeltsu election was like a governorship election...some bigwigs often troop in from delta state to manipulate elections for their stooges...apparently because of the bursary cash that can be embezzled from such post.......

SEASON 2 OF THE NAIRALAND NIGERIAN FOOTBALL FANS AWARDS IS HERE! THE NNFF AWARDS-2019 Ahmed Musa was crowned King of Nigerian football in 2019 while Tochukwu Oluehi was the Queen of Nigerian football. Are we going to have a new King and Queen for 2019? Let's play. First we nominate Monikers that will be saddled with the responsibilities of coming up with award categories and selection of players for the various awards. Just like for last year, the committee shall be made up of the top 7 Monikers nominated at this stage. Rules for nomination: 1. Every member of the house is qualified to be nominated. 2. You can only nominate one moniker. 3. You cannot nominate yourself. However it is advisable that you nominate a Moniker that is very knowledgeable about Nigerian football as a whole( Senior, Youth and Female Football). Nominations opened @ 12am, 1st November 2019 and closes @12noon of 8th November, 2019. Icon4s and Andrewbaba44 will be collating the nominations ( These two are also qualified to be nominated) To nominate a moniker for eg just mention : I nominate GreatNigeria59. Cc: Icon4s, Andrewbaba44 (please u must copy these Monikers) The nominations are already on-going..... ![]() |

komekn:we know what u are doing. If you ain't hyping your borough Carpenters, u will resort to hyping some of our home-grown players against each other just to cause unnecessary bad blood. A time is coming and I won't be surprise when you start supporting nacho agaisnt oshimen. Even if denni is technically astute than Musa and nacho, leave am like that we like am. Dennis is way better than your solanke... That's even an insult to dennis cos solanke nor reach. Uzeonyi is even better than your crappy solanke. |

komekn:Nwakali isn't doing well at club level agreed.. But he was called up to the u-23 on the back of his impressive performance at the u-17 level and at club level.. So far he has performed well at the u-23 level..why drop him now? Ur performance at club level will earn u an invitation to the national team, but ur performance in the national team will keep u there... Nwakali has earned his spot in that team..there's nothing u can do about it except to cry.. |

Joebie:there is no Nigeria international here so this post is unnecessary but u can go ahead and rock with it. We dey here dey wait to see how many caps Tammy go get with England lol. Dem Don turn Tammy to 3 minute man Kai. Only 3 minutes of international football? He is not highly rated as y'all want us to believe. |

timay:Personally, I'm not too pained about our exist... Even with the poor performance from the players, we can't say for sure if they will go into oblivion... some of them might end up better than their counterparts that performed better than them... How many people knew Ndidi in 2013? Alampasu that was ahead of Uzoho in 2013 is behind him now... |

Wolves’ Adama Traoré has decided to play for Mali, switching over from Spain. We could see a future Mali team featuring Wolves’ Adama Traoré on the right wing, Monaco’s Adama Traoré (on loan at Metz) in central midfield, and Metz’s Adama Traoré on the left wing. In addition, we could potentially (unlikely) see Burgan’s Adama Traoré playing as a holding midfielder, with free agent Adama Traoré lining up in attack. One team, five Adamas Traores ![]() |

Danielnino00:Wow Mali has one hell of a talented deadly young sqaud with Haidara, Sekou and co that Africa should be wary of. I am happy Rohr is on the verge of leaving so that we can get a better attack oriented coach that can make good use of our equally young and super talented squad to bring down giants anywhere in the world. |

If our grassroots football was really developed, yes it’s true some of the players we hail now will have faced stiffer competition even in the home front and we would have been better for it. Look at the big picture. We can only make progress if we do the right things, not being sentimental. Our national teams should not be a social welfare program. TheGoodJoe: |
