170km/h from Enugu to opi junction through the back road. That road is sweet. That was when i decided not sale my Honda crv 2001 model for any amount.

I once drove at 160km/hr along Abuja Airport road..I was younger and single back then. With a family of my own now, the max i can remember doing is 110km/hr...Where i dey rush go?

I hope you drive with your hazard lights. Driving at this speed especially on the highway is equally as unsafe as driving in excess of 100mph

In all my travel from Kaduna to abuja to and fro... I have never being overtaken before, I drive around 180km/hr- 230-240km/hr, though I have face some fiercer car racers, especially those northern lads with 406, Benz and other powerful cars, the day I was overtaken as if I was on reverse... I had being moving on 190+km/hr, overtaking every other car on the road only for me to look into the front Murrow, then I saw two bright headlamps, the way it was coming from afar, I had to take a look again... I accelerated to over 220+km/hr but my DC was no match, it was a RANGE ROVER E... I tried to chase the car, at 240km/hr my steering was vibrating, for the first time I had to accept the lose... Kaduna-Abuja express road is a 4/4 dual carriage, wide and very good for speed if you have the liver...

For those who may not believe, I and my friends travel on that road for fun and speed, I have lost 2 of my friends on some of our races to abuja to n fro... May their souls rest in peace.

170. Ogoja/Obubura highway (in the days when that road was relatively motorable). Rushing to Abakaliki for a meeting however lost two tyres at the infamous 'devils hill' and arrived four hours late for that meeting.....unfortunately.

In contemporary times I regularly did 140 on 3rd mainland to my office every 5 am morning from my residence at Ikeja out of sheer frustration.

These days age has instinctively restricted my speed to 120. The only place in Abuja you can do that or more is on the Airport road non rush hour. I will like to do more but I just don't trust tyres anymore no matter who makes them.

don't know about abuja to ph but back in 2002-2003 we hit 240 255 on the dash on abuja airport road , lost 2 friends before I came to me senses that speed kills, it might not be possible on other roads or its a death wish

Any speed above 110km/h is unsafe because the highest posted speed in Nigeria is 110km/h.

it's a shame how hold up appears on the abuja airport road , back then it used to be an emergency high way , government officials do 200+ and the cars disappears before you know Awolowo, now it's a night mare

Yeah the 626 was super cool. 180, no problems..... till two tyres came off the rims from a razor sharp shoulder.

renault logan, 2015, benin-ore express, finished the speedo patapata @ 210km/h.. That was the first and last time I did such..usu avg at 130 now.

140km/hr. I was in a darn hurry and didn't even realise how fast I was.

Don't ever speed.
