Similar situations transpires with little children in many places in Nigeria, the above happened in Anambra, but people shouting and raving are always blind to the sufferings and horrible situations in their own poor villages and the terrible and deplorable conditions their children go through.

Tribalism, bigotry and hatred against other people are always their primary obsessions.

Just too sad

Compare and contrast. Call a spade a spade and stop being hypocritical.

You people have problem, Anambra State government arrested them to tell you that they are not in support of children leaving school for business, let alone begging or sleeping on streets.
Show us pictures of Kano State government doing the same thing.

I pity those boys going back as almajiris

As an Ibo guy you are free to adopt any Hausa kid....so long as you follow the legal processes from start to finish.

I am not attacking your tribe, and if you think I am, change your thinking.

Kidnapping is wrong.

Foundation feeds beggars across Enugu streets to mark World Food Day

The foundation which visited beggars’ stands at Nsukka, Ogbete Main Market, Enugu, and Gariki, gave meals, beverages, and water to at least 100 persons.

Keep quiet abeg, there's nothing to compare, they are all children facing horrible challenges.

Besides, there are almajiri begging children in your villages so what's your point?

No they were Royal Princes from the Emir's palace sorrounded by palace guards. That was why they were taken away easily without trace.

My parents once knew an Igbo copule who adopted a Fulani boy, incidentally from what is now Katsina area.

They did it LEGALLY.....with the full consent of state, exisiting family members, etc. Documents were signed, everything was done...LEGALLY.within the adoption laws of the state.

(Said boy is now an adult. Looks Fulani on the outside, Ibo and christian on the inside by the way. Me mum saw him last ten years ago...).

You are talking this way because you think I am here to hate on Igbos. I am not. I am just saying that if you want to adopt a kid...do it legally. Don't just snatch a kid from the street, hand him over illegally....and then come and be saying that 'it is for his own good'

It does not matter if the kid is as poor as a street kid, or as rich as Croessus....so long as you FOLLOW THE LAWS OF THE LAND ON ADOPTION....you are good to go. Unfortunately those kidnappers did not FOLLOW THE RULES. Especially regarding cosnent.

(After all, the white racists justified slavery....the black people would have been killed in intra-ethic conflict at home...look we saved them from that!).

Don't justify evil. And stop listening to those who say all Igbos are evil because of the activity of a few Ibo kidnapeprs. Because you and I know that is not true.

What do you have to say about this

Northern politicians and the Muslim communities purposely allow this Almajiri thing to happen so that they will use it for their selfish interest,
GEJ built schools for them but the Northern elites still hijacked it

Abeg, did I by the comment you quoted, defend any almajiri system??

(For the record, I think the whole system of almajiri is rubbish, should be changed, and by the way, GEJ 's allmajiri schools was one of the few good things he did....and the main sisue really was continuation of funding...plus it is going to take more than schools to get rid of that almajiri system. ).

No.

All I said is....IF YOU WANT TO ADOPT ANY CHILD....DO IT THE RIGHT WAY. DON'T KIDNAP ANY CHILD AND HAND IT OVER TO ANYONE WITHOUT CONSENT.

Hypocrites living like refugees forming on the internet as if their backward jungle is Dubai.

With the pictures of the kids you posted, is it not better than your whole community living with filth and squalor and lining up on the side of of the road for kerosene like Syrian refugees..

Ruling and pauperizing your folks.
Your wicked rulers deserve some accolades if after many years of being at the helm of Nigeria there seems not to be an end in sight to a scene like this in the Northern Nigeria.
Sometimes I don't feel you folks, sometimes I am susceptible because of human nature.
You folks don't really want to help yourselves.

They can have 2023 and beyond, no wahala. After all they were born to rule.

One day one day, these ones go get nothing to feed on but the flesh of their elites.

That day go surely come.
You are so ignorant that you can't see the future.

If the north gets 2023 and beyond very soon that picture might become the fate of southern children is that what u want before you have sense?

Most of those kids are not Nigerians. Secondly they are almajiri kids that have given there life out not to favour material things. Thirdly northerners are easily contented.

BISHOP KUKAH from Northern Nigeria and many others have offered to train the children and take them out of streets but Northern elites and the Muslim community refused.
the kids are purposely kept that way by their leaders

A photo has emerged showing a tired Almajiri boy sleeping on a pile of dirt along the road in Northern Nigeria.

The sad photo was shared by a Kano based Facebook user.

The photo describes the fate of many Almajiri children who are abandoned by their parents after being sent out to fend for themselves.

Almajiri is a system of Islamic education practiced in northern Nigeria. Almajiri derives from an Arabic word, rendered "al-Muhajirun" in English transliteration, meaning a person who leaves his home in search of Islamic knowledge.

But, the system has been bastardized over the years.

The way of life of this people formed major setback for Nigeria. Giving birth to children like rat, almajiri system should be criminalise it is evil and devilish

Where is that leaky mouth muric professor? Hope he can see what his masters up north bequeathed upon their helpless masses.
After close to 60yrs of ruling Nigeria that boy in the pix and millions like him is the legacy they are leaving behind.
They fail to send their kids to school so they can become political tools in their evil machinations. No wonder the nation is in such a mess.
If indeed Nigeria would implode it will start from the north because the situation there is a human catastrophe waiting to happen.

This is the excuse the north wants to use to hold on to power and all of you are falling for it, if I lie ask yourself Idp camps has been running in the north for over 5years billions are being spent on them and they are OK with it, they don't want to be rehabilitated they dont want to relocate to other states for better lives they just want to seat down and collect free food and handouts from Fg.

People that can live like that for years without any compalain why should u be surprised by this
