Collection by proxy has been stopped. Nobody can collect for another except you paid for courier on biometrics day or a parent taking for a child.
Nextjones99:
Good afternoon, pls is it true tls doesn’t accept pickup by proxy again? I submitted in Abuja on the 26th September and the passport is ready for collection, however I don’t live in Abuja and the person I gave the collection slip said they refused to let hm collect that I have to come in person. Is this true or who has encountered such issue. It’s not easy for me to go to Abuja at the moment. Thank you all.

What do have you to say about appointment date that now has to be paid for? Is this the way forward?

First of all, the cost of your trip was way too much. Are you married? And also, the ECO that handled your case wasn't satisfied on how you came about your bank balance. If I may ask, how many months bank statements did you submit? Providing a cash flow analysis would have given the ECO an idea of how you came about the funds in your account.

You need to provide cash flow analysis in your cover letter and then reduce the cost of your trip to about 500,000 naira.

You can do that almost immediately since the reasons for your last refusal can be addressed ASAP.

I would not advise that you apply now. You need to address the concerns raised:

1. There are transactions in your account that the ECO could not understand the source. You need to address that.

2. The ECO clearly stated that you’ve not been out of the country in the last 10 years. Please go to Dubai, France and build some travel history first before reapplying.

3. The budget for your trip versus your account balance is not in sync. I presume your budget is almost your entire account balance. You can’t spend almost everything in your bank balance on a trip; that’s a red flag, except you have a sponsor or you have a good travel history.

I have budgeted 1,800 pounds for a 7 days London trip before and got the visa, hence I do not subscribe to the fact that your budget is too high. It’s all a function of that budget versus your income and your account balance.

Once you address those concerns, please return to this forum and revalidate your application before submission. There are a number of amazing people here who will be willing to help you critique your application before you submit.

All the best.

Yes, you are right about his budget cost. I was supposed to have asked about his income and monthly expenses before reaching that conclusion. That was an oversight. I think visa can still be approved with or without travel history if other requirements are in order.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 11:50pm On Nov 18, 2019
2000 pounds for few days is a lot of money no matter how anyone looks at it.... taking into consideration your travel history and maybe other ties. This issue has been treated over and over again.....
For sometime so many refusals have been flying around so it tells you something is up and you cant afford to mumble up any application.

If I may suggest , go through the thread pages again. check your monthly income against your planned 2k pounds expenditure and see where u got it wrong.
Sorry.

You can only apply within three month of your intended date of traveling. For example if your proposed traveling date is April 23,2020, you can submit your application from January 23, 2020

From experience, i got my UK visa last year without traveling experience and my colleague got his own this year October without traveling experience

I think the number of days is too much, 5 days is okay with a budget of 1,300 pounds .
Secondly, proving additional sources of income is important also apart from your main job because the ECO has issue with the acct balance. Sometimes do not limit yourself to 6 months statement if your opening balance is huge.

In proving your ties to your home country, you have to submit every available documents that you have like marriage certificate, children school fees receipt , land document ( i submitted Omo onile receipt) , birth certificates of children etc

I will advise you not to reapply immediately but you can try traveling to other countries before reapplying like someone suggested.
