Hi Everyone, Thanks for the good work. Please, I am asking on behalf of a friend. She gained admission to study a certificate course in Nursing, at a Canadian University. Her question is, should she apply for the student visa with her kids? She is married with 4 kids. Her second option is to apply alone, get the visa, and then apply for the kids before school starts in September, 2020. i.e., apply for the kids while still in Nigeria, and has obtained her own visa. Your advice would be appreciated. God Bless |

Is it safe to have an an active express entry profile and then apply for study permit at the same time? Will that raise s red flag to the visa officer that you will not come back after studies? |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Stevenssen(m): 9:29pm On Dec 09, 2019 |
chigrad:According to Canada immigration, this is allowed. But I don't recommend it, it's definitely a red flag. Just go with the best option for yourself out of the two and only that. |

Thanks, but the express entry score is low, So can I cancel the EE profile while I apply for study permit. Do you think a having a profile that was cancelled just before the study application will be a concern for the VO? as you know all profiles in IRCC for the same individual are linked. Stevenssen: |

Good day everyone. I'm new to this forum . I Please is there anyone here who applied to memorial university for fall semester 2020? I did, about 2 weeks ago and I submitted all required documents for MSC program ( transcript , 2 appraisal letters and bsc certificate) I made sure my school forwarded the documents to their email but since then I have been checking my application status and it states there under the received box ; the dates when the appraisal letters were received but the other requirements no dates stated. I dont know how to really explain the page on here but it just summarises that application is incomplete until all documents are received . Now I am a bit worried, I am not sure I should do something or just wait . I already contacted my school to resend the documents and they did but still the page is the Same. Please i'ld really love to get suggestions or someone else's expeience thanks |

Although it is allowed on CIC website, and also I have seen just one person on this thread getting his Study permit visa despite having an EE profile, but that's just 1 outta 500 cases, so its very rare.. I will advise u choose the best option for yourself cos EE means u are applying for a Permanent residence and if the VO does a background check on your study permit application and notice you have an EE profile that is running, then u knw what dt means, its a total red flag.. So I will advise u stick to what will realy work for you.. Peace chigrad: |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by JustMellow: 12:10pm On Dec 10, 2019 |
IboBoyNuel: Hello IboBoyNuel, It all depends on the information provided in your previous application about your home tie, employment history, future goal and sponsorship. Since you've been you currently working there, the suitable documents to present are your employment letter, introduction letter of employment and leave approval letter. He best stands just your boss/employer. There won't be need talking to much about "how he's going to employ you," if properly reflected, the leave approval letter is enough evidence. If you have no other economic ties, you have to be creative in using words to address your situation to the VO. The quoted aforesaid phrase is good but however vague. If you have other ties, you can as well demonstrate their significance to you. All the best! |
