6. Christians and Muslims are not serving the same God. - there are places in the Quran that specifically placed a curse on Christians and jews.

In Quran 4:171, The Jews call 'Uzair a son of God, and the Christians call Christ the son of God. That is but a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. God's curse be on them; how they are deluded away from the Truth!

How can another religious book curse another religion when it was the same God that they both serve?

One thing I know for sure, God does not exist

Ihedinobi3:

Hello to you too.

Before the Lord Jesus came in the flesh, God had already taught the human race of His Coming through, first, the protoevangelium or first gospel in the Garden of Eden when He told Adam and Eve of the Coming Savior and demonstrated what that Savior would do with the first animal sacrifice from which He gave them coats of skin to cover their unclothedness (Genesis 3:15,21), and second, the Law of Moses that he gave to Israel for the whole world.

Adam and Eve passed the Good News down to their descendants. That was why Abel carried out a sacrifice of blood, showing faith in the Coming Messiah, and was declared righteous as a result, and why Cain carried out a sacrifice too although he dared to pretend that his sin did not demand forfeiture of life, and he was rejected for daring to presume that he did not deserve to die for his sin. His lack of Faith in the coming Messiah condemned him.

Sacrifices of the sort that the Lord carried out in the Garden for Adam and Eve and of the sort that Abel did went on throughout history until the Lord institutionalized it and codified it in the Law of Moses to teach a fuller meaning of it to Israel and through Israel to the world.

As long as anyone demonstrated faith in the Coming Savior through offering a blood sacrifice for their sin, using animals as taught by the Lord, they were saved by that faith.

When the Lord Jesus came, He fulfilled what those sacrifices were pointing to: a full payment for our sins against God. No animal sacrifice ever saved anyone. Only the Spiritual Death of a Perfect Man Who could suffer the full penalty for all sins and rebellions of every member of the human race without turning bitter and falling into sin himself could save us all. The only Person who could actually pay such a hefty price without getting bitter about it was God Himself. That was why the Lord Jesus had to become a normal Human Being absent a sin nature like the rest of us have, hence the Virgin Birth.

As I said, it was faith in Him, both that He would come later in history to die for our sins and that He had actually come and died for our sins when He did, that saves, not merely the killing of some animal. The animal sacrifice was only a demonstration of that faith before the Lord came. Now that He has come and died for us, animal sacrifices are now not only unnecessary but also blasphemous. Only faith that He has come and died for us saves us today.

So, those who believed in the Coming Messiah or Savior were saved by that belief.

Finally, no human being existed five thousand years before the Lord Jesus came. Adam was created about 4000 years before the Lord Jesus came.

At 6000 BC, people were writing in China. That is 6,000 years before christ.

Adam and Eve were not the first people on earth. Most bible scholars would tell you that the bible story is metaphorical.

At this point, I cant see why I should trust anything you say.

Once again, I am late in this thread. To the atheists, serious explain how life started because the theory of evolution and big bang theory sound too science fiction for me. The universe is just too complicated to be accidentally and too organized to be come out of no where. To those who said Christian are dumb, mind you that many technologies comes from Christians. So we are not as dumb as you think.

God didn't create evil. Check creation story in the book of Genesis, everything He created was good. The first man Adam was the general overseer of God's creation. GOD IS IN LOVE WITH MAN His own creation. So, the rebel, the devil sort to adulterate all what God had done, he did that through Adam, DECEIVING him about God's credibility. Adam lost it!
God had other plan, He sent another Adam (JESUS) (1Cor. 15 : 21-22, 45 & 47) not through the seed of the first Adam but through HIS OWN seed to restore what man had lost, paid for man's sins and give man a hope someday to exit darkness into immortal light with Him.
The gospel is simple my brother, God didn't send Jesus to end life's transient troubles but to give peace even in the midst if the trouble. (Jn 16:33) God didn't allow Jesus to go through pains to end the world's pain, but ONLY to all who believes has a hope to he comforted. God didn't separate from His only BEGOTTEN Son to prove a POINT to the devil sir, He did it that WE ALL CAN HAVE ETERNAL LIFE even in this world and world after.

I av so much to say from the Bible but let me just end with ur last point. Do u know Jesus spent three days in Hell? Do u know all who never had the gospel were preached to? Even from Noah's time? (1 Pet 3 : 18 - 20). Do u know that the WORLD won't com to an end until God realizes everyone, every tribe, every nation has a chance to hear about JESUS?

Their might be more than what you've been thinking. God bless you!

Yes. Being a pagan doesnt necessarily mean you must be evil. It just means that your sin has not been paid for by the spilling of Jesus' blood.

lf you examine your bible deeply, how can you say john 3v16 teaches you Hellfire? Hellfire from the parables of jesus is more of a state than a place, you experience weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see that you are outside God's kingdom on earth( where there is power over death, sickness, and sufferings). You experience hellfire when you wilfully remain in sin and when you deny or blaspheme the Holyspirit of God that can dwell in you. The Holyspirit within is the power of the kingdom ( the age to come).
All of these have little or nothing to do with belief in doctrines or creeds, but more to do with an active faith that helps you live like you are already in the kingdom of God.

You have a free will and the right to exercise it any way you please, so don't think you are under any kind of law to believe what I say. I am telling you the truth, but you are free to disbelieve it, if you want.

As for what you claim above, I'm not sure why you think that it is a fact that any human being was writing anything in 6000 BC or why you think that it is a fact that Adam and Eve were not the first human beings to exist or why you think it should matter what a scholar says about the Bible compared to what the Bible itself says about itself. That is to say, just as you don't see why you should believe what I say, I really don't see why I should believe what you say either or even why you yourself believe it in the first place.

1.Jesus is the only way to God, John 14:6
This invariably means those who don't believe in Jesus have no business in heaven.
Christians worldwide have an estimated population of 2.4billion people
Islam records an estimate of 1.9 billion adherents, Hindu has an estimated 1.1bn adherents. The remaining world's population have their own beliefs which includes atheism.
If Jesus is the only way to God, what happens to those who don't believe in him? Hell? Well, the Bible suggests so.

2. There are a lot of complications and contradictory remarks in the Bible- a verse says don't drink, another says "Drink for your stomach sake", or "Do not drink wherein excess."
Malachi 3:10 a famous Bible verse on tithing speaks about bringing your tithe to the storehouse (church, maybe)
Deuteronomy 14:22-26 says otherwise, it says "you should drink and be merry with your tithe". I'm seriously beginning to doubt the credibility of the Bible. Maybe the translators' fault or God told writers different stories on the same issue. Read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John's account of Jesus and see real contradictions.

3. Does God answer prayers? Well, I'm not really sure about that. Someone might be suffering from malaria, the person takes drugs and still prays, the drugs work, but the person thanks God. Or a successful surgical operation, instead of thanking the doctor, they thank God. Some illnesses that would have been treated led to deaths because a certain congregation who were supposed to take the ill persons to the hospital, circled around praying. Faith without work isn't it still dead?
I remember when I had stomach ulcer, it was really terrible, I prayed and made several promises to God that if He took away the ulcer, I'd drink no more alcohol and will be more devout in worshipping Him. That didn't solve anything though, I stopped drinking and took to taking my drugs more seriously. Weeks later, I was well. I returned to drinking and after a few months, the ulcer resurfaced. That was when I realized I really needed to quit drinking. Prayers wouldn't have solved that issue.
I spent 80% of 2019 at home because of my misgivings about God's existence.
I really wish I could be convinced about God's existence because I'm not even happy to be away from Church because of the views of friends and family.

4. Children of God, or so called children of God tend to suffer more tribulations, hard times and desperate moments, a lot of them scream "Vanity upon Vanity" when secular people live in luxury or spend extravagantly. God tends to turn his back on those who worship Him especially when they need Him most.
The 1933 Holocaust and mass murder of Jews to the tone of 6m was a clear indication that God turns His eyes against His people
Repulsive comments are highly welcome

If there’s God anywhere, Nigeria would have been a better country by now, considering the times various churches have fasted and prayed for the nation. We’ve been praying for the country since I was a kid and it’s obvious the same has been happening before I was born, but instead of a turnaround for the best, it’s been the direct opposite.

There is a living God my dear, and he loves you more than you can imagine. Trials would come, as he hasn't promise you of none, but then you will triumph. Its very difficult at the beginning, but its certain that he would fight whatever battle you put forth to him. I have been there, and worst more than you can imagine, but his loving kindness took me out of the dungeon. Stick with him my dear, and you will smile at the end. May his peace and love always be with you. Shalom.

Open up the human body and see the way bones are structured, the kidneys, lungs the brain and blood flow through the veins..it is obvious a supernatural force and miracle is in play...tthat is all God.

Religion is one of man's greatest inventions. Yes it creates divides, but that's a small price to pay for keeping most people in check. Imagine we all disregarded the Bible's or Quran's view of fornication. Damn, planet earth would be overrun by humans, and the world as you know it would have ended long b4 we were born. Us free thinkers should not fight Christians and Muslims, we need them for balance. I believe God foresaw this a long time ago and he inspired men to constitute religion. I have examined both the Bible and the Quran and i'm sure those books are no ordinary books.

baba don't be confused, The scripture is clear. Moses himself and some other prophets in the scripture gave laws that God didnt give. some acted in the way that didn't please God with. for example, was it God that told Elijah to curse those children that was calling him a bald man. if young children are calling you a bald man will you say beer should kill them or will you kill them. you can mainly beat them or abuse them. I will advise you to stick to Jesus preaching in the scripture alone. He started what you need to know. On the issue of prayer, when you pray, you take actions. If you are praying for job and you stay indoor, without telling people or taking action your prayer can't come to fulfilment. On the issue of sickness, see It has been long have use medicine and I do fall sick. there are some sickness that you don't need prayer, you just need precaution. for example, if you doing kind of work that is stressful, one day you are going to be weak which will result into sickness do you need prayer for that . you don't need it what you just need to eat is to relax stop the work for some time and once you are well you can continue that work or stop it.

Personal encounter with God is the major.
Any prophet u see has his or her own encounter wt God, But Jesus on the other hand is the Author and Finisher of our FAITH.
Just try to live like Jesus for somtimes and see what happens.

John 3:16 said if you fail to believe that Jesus died on the cross you will go to hell fire. Atheism is simply the belief that there is no God. this one u dont need the holy spirit to explain
John 3v16.. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

The remaining verses go on to tell you that people refused to believe in his son because they loved to remain darkness.

This nonbelief here has nothing to do with their questioning and critical thinking, it is about their love for darkness.

When a man has made up his mind on an issue, he doesn't need advice at all . What you are looking for here is to draw others along with you who you think have same mind with you. Yeah, you will definitely see people that have same mind with you. This is a clear indication that you have not received the Holy Sprit, so you are just confused and looking for those who as confused as you are.For sure, your types are many. One thing, you should understand is that even if the whole world should stop worshiping God, He's forever God. He can't be dethroned. You need to know Him with the Help of the Holy Spirit. He does not need to know you . The responsibility is yours. He had seen the birth and death of billions of men and women , yet He's still God and doesn't brag about his greatness. He had seen historians writting history upon histories, but He was there when everything started.
You're walking in confusion consistently and justifying it . I pray that the Lord will enlighten your spirit of understanding that you may know him for yourself. He has said He's the way the truth and the life , no man cometh unto the Father but by Him. God has exclaimed to the whole world, " This is my only begotten son, in whom I am well pleased. There's no salvation in any other name other than the name of Jesus whereby you must be saved". The acceptance of wrongs by billions of people does no make it right . It does not really matter how many people are in those religions. What matters is what God has said in respect to salvation. I feel so bad that you have never experienced Jesus for yourself. No wonder many walk in confusion about the scriptures, they study so much , yet no understanding. What a life !! You need the Holy Spirit

Mr poster, if you are born a Christian and you feel to continue go ahead rather than confusing yourself. Points you raise, people we start arguing base on their opinion and understanding, let's be sincere, many things bible did not explain while many other are not included in the bible.

I understand you, but don't go that lane, only fools see the whole things around them and doubt the existence of God, who put that sun up there, the moon, do you know all the creatures in the sea or on land, do you have power over the breath you take..... Like don't let me stress myself, its not worth it.

Hear my words, from the bottom of your heart, with humility, Be still, be calm, humble yourself as a creation seeking His creator, ask God to reveal Himself to you, He will, because He created you. Forget about religion, forget about men opinions, forget about churches, do that which I tell you and your Joy will know no bounds. He will reveal Himself to you in a way only You can understand, Because He knows you more than anyone else. I am a living witness of the Encounter of great grace from The Creator of all things. More blessings
