Good day house, I have been quietly following this thread, I have an agent that is working on my application, I haven't met him personally but spoke on phone and WhatsApp because it is my uncle and dad that is handling the processing for me, I just forwarded my credentials and all to them....fast forward to September 3rd, I did my biometric capture and all in Lagos VFS,,,since then,I haven't heard anything from them,I have seen some people's update here and some did biometric in October and have gotten feedback, I have called the man severely for info to no avail. My question is, is this normal or is the man hiding things from us. Is it possible to have done biometric since September and not gotten feedback up till now..house pls kindly enlighten me on what to do..thanks
my brother its obvious the man is hiding some thing, this delay is not normal

Pls I want to seek ur opinion on whether it's advisable to apply for a study Visa with my last child at the same time(1yr old )i wish to leave the older two with in care of their father and my mother.i don't want a scenario where I'd get Visa and might not be successful securing visiting for my infant. I can't concentrate without him abroad and at same time I don't want to risk refusal because of him.
Aunty I will advise u leave your child behind to avoid refusal, then if u must include him then you most provide enough convincing document and work more in your SOP.

The Canadian Government is starting a pilot program in March 2020 called Agri-Food Immigration Pilot Program. This is a good opportunity for people with non professional skills to come to Canada as a permanent resident.
Interested individual can read more about it in the weblink below;

You can defer however it depends on the course availability and institution deferment policy.

I feel for you on the financial implications and disappointments. While time and tide wait for no man opting for pgc/d in I.T related course you'll secure an offer letter without professional and academic references.

Yes it is possible.

There is nothing you can do at the moment than to wait and be prayerful since you don’t have control of the process.

If he bleeps up, your dad and uncle will handle him. Don’t bug him, be patient. All the best.
Thanks for the response

This is very normal and also possible.. Like I have always advise newbies right from the earlier parts, when it comes to application of Canadian visa, one has to be really patient cos this VOs cant be predictable... Someone that applied after you can geta decision before you, very very possible.. So I will advise you be patient and also prayerful. If u are resuming on Jan 6th, I will advise u defer ur resumption till September 2020 so u can have ample time to prepare urself after u would have gotten ur approval.. Best of luck. Peace
Thanks for your response

Hello Jarulecole,

If you still want to apply to a university even for a profession program, an academic reference is still required. However, you might want to consider colleges.

What exactly is the issue with your referent(s) or getting a reference from a referral?

Hello Iffyibeh,

Yes you can apply with your 1yr old child if only you have or can show the required financial sufficiency for both of you in the duration of your studies. If not, considering applying alone and do well to show how the wellbeing of the young child would be cater for.

In my own personal opinion, its better you apply with him if:

1. You can secure or show proof of securing a daycare/nanny

2. Handle the financial responsibility due to the cost of daycare or hiring a nanny

3. Aside family in your home country, if you can justify your or show good economic standing whether for you or your spouse or combined.

4. A good study plan to the effect outlining your reason(s)

5. Prayers and stay hopeful

All the best.

Hello Nigeriaismyhome,

Yes, you can defer your admission without any hassle but you must put the following into considering.

1. The validity of the issued TRV (very important)

2. Have a justifiable reason for the later resumption or deferment just in case being asked jokingly by the CBSA agent at the POE

3. If you considered applying to another school or program/course of study which is possible, it might be best to go for same course or something closely related with good intention(s) of a justifiable reason.

BTW i have a few questions if you don't mind.

1. When did you apply and approved

2. You can give your timeline of submitted documents to help guide prospective applicants

All the best

I made application for visa. The embassy gave me 24hours deadline to provide all the secondary documents.

However, I don't have most of these documents in place. Morealso, they sent me mail today being Sunday. Before I get all the documents, the 24hours would have lapsed by tomorrow morning.

Now the agent handling my application is threatening me that if I don't provide the secondary documents, they will place a visa ban on me.

This is why I am confused.

I want to know whether they can actually place visa ban on me for not providing documents or they will just not proceed with my application.

Your response will be appreciated.

Hello Kaze4blues,

Well, i don't work with the embassy neither am I a VO but from experience, I have never observed an or any application being accepted at VFS (paper route) or can be able to click the "submit" button without any upload for online app.

Also, I have never seen or heard of the Canadian embassy giving an applicant "just a day" to submit documents when its not a "requested additional document" which tends to be within "7days" except IRCC has upgraded or change the visa application procedures.

Can you share the email received, the URL and the email address so the IT genius in the house can help decipher.

What visa category are you applying for?
