This is a planned attack that would allow Iran to get their revenge without hurting U.S. citizens, which would've forced the US to respond militarily.

The US was aware of the attack before hand — the reason they moved their men and equipment earlier before the rocket attacks.

You can see that in Trump's tweet.

What Trump had effectively done by Killing Soleimani is that he has established that in this war of attrition between nations killing foreign diplomats is a fair game.

I repeat, going after a diplomat and killing him publicly is a no-no and I believe the US will regret this action, and this may hurt trumps chance of reelection. Iran is no pushover!!

Iran has been threatening the US for years. Just this morning, they said they won't attack the US again if the US doesn't attack them.

The US won't impeach Trump and Iran would be made a scapegoat for other terrorists to learn from. Follow the news and see how Iran is facing different issues from all kinds. Already, the Iranian leaders can't fly out cos heir airspace is now a no-fly zone.

Japan is already spearheading the intervention campaign. But the Iranians are already threatening all US allies in the Middle East with annahilation. This is what pisses off every other country in the gulf region.
They understand that the Iranians share a diverse religious belief from them.
An overbearing posture that the Iranian continue to maintain is what pisses the others. This present Iranian government would need to tone down. It doesn't even have 100% backing from its people.
All the incursions and interference it has been carrying out in the region hasn't been going down well with its citizens.
The ordinary Iranians would rather have a prosperous and flourishing economy in exchange for this over half a century war mongering that has brought nothing but hardship and suffering.
The saving grace is that the overzealous brat in Washington pulled the trigger first.
The Iranians themselves have committed the same violation as the United States by violating the sovereignty of the Iraqi state.
