Its a storey building, and they both stay down

Is there a court injunction stopping you from forcefully evicting them with police?

its a 5 years old storey building, so it's not possible

Simple stuff.

Get 20 - 30k

Go to the closest army barracks and tell them you wanna evict some people from your property.

Hire 5 soldiers to do the job.

That's all.

Such tenants always die wretched. Very evil people. Bad belle will never allow them progress in life. Those wench are not law-abiding but want to abuse court process.

Codedly use strong eye. Riffraff look at law-abiding people as mugu.

I will make this as short as possible

There is this tenant that we gave quit notice since 2018 because of inability to pay the house rent. Up till now he has not moved out, we handled the case legally and its still in court till now.

This is the 3rd year that the man and his family have stayed without paying 1 naira because of our poor judicial system, we are still hoping the court will eject them this year.

Now there is another tenant that is very close to the man's wife, she did not pay 2019 rent and she was given quit notice 6 months ago to leave before December 31st, up till now, nothing has happened, we think she wants us to open a legal case so that she can stay for some more years free of charge like her friend.

Please what can we do concerning the two tenant situations?

The house is situated in Lagos. Ayobo area to be specific
Is this how you guys are given out your property free of charge all in the name of judicial system? Tenants are something else these days.If you give them chance, they will become your landlord and turn you to tenant in your own house. As big as my father had house is,even though he don't stay at home,we refused to rent it out because of all these crazy tenants.

Do that at ur own peril, if the tenant sue u for that, then ur in for a long thing, the law is against that, the judiciary system in Nigeria, especially Lagos favours and considers the tenants above house owners, that is why tenants house is not lucrative anymore, and that's the disadvantage in
house biz, just follow the court judiciously,it will definitely end one day,my piece of advice.

Re: How Do We Eject These Stubborn Tenants In Lagos? by principalgee: 4:08pm On Jan 08, 2020
Many tenants do not even have a plan to become a house owner, you will see a tenant staying 10years up in a rent apartment, forming a chief tenant, given orders to the landlord family etc, so abeg just show them your real madness that is all.
Re: How Do We Eject These Stubborn Tenants In Lagos? by ekerintee: 4:09pm On Jan 08, 2020
It's really sad nowadays with tenants, even some well todo tenants even complain and blame buhari and government for not paying their rent.its discouraging to even build house if you don't have the madness to follow crazy tenant. The law favours them when you go with the law.i think the law shud be reviewed and there should be a union of landlord who can take the matter to the state House of representatives for an ammendment of the law.where there is loop hole,a good law should favour both sides.its morally wrong for a tenant to stay without paying his rent and even brag about it .Even thou there are some crazy landlord too.the law should be fair to both parties

Leave dem first make dem think say them wise, e go shock dem when the court go ask dem to pay for the 3years rent. Matter dey court nor give any body the opportunity to misbehave. Another thing say, now the agreement dem get with the landlord on the contract paperwork fit make the landlord helpless

Lagos state mediation dont allow this much nonsense if you use their lawyers and follow the right process, they would be given a notice duration and if tenant refuses to leave their property would be evicted and tenant would need to bail his belongings at their office

In developed nations you can't owe your house owner for that long. You coul be shot by him n he would defend himself by saying he was provoked.
Pure unadulterated hogwash.
The way some of you spill pure lies and rubbish with confidence is amazing.
So a tenant owes a landlord abroad and the landlord shoots him/her citing provocation as an offence and the police or justice system will give him/her a slap in the wrist?
When you are asked to cite verifiable examples of this your rubbish claim now, you would start blabbering.

You just spoke my mind. Most Landlords don't know the meaning of that Agreement, they only collect the money to swallow it. If a Tenant should Pen his or her signature down on an airtight agreement, There is NOTHING that Tenant can do. One thing about me is that before any tenant moves into my house I tell them to read the Terms and Conditions of the Agreement very well, if you like it, pay. If you don't, move forward and look for your own house. Simple! I have it in my agreement that failure to pay your rent a month after it has expired means I lock your flat or shop and they all agreed to it by putting their signature on it.

Have you gone through your terms & conditions, the agreement you had with these tenants?

Did u increase your rental fee?

I know our Judicial system is messed up, but I still think your lawyer is missing something.

continue with the legal process...I can assure you they are NOT staying there free...they will still pay for every single day they spent while the case
is on, trust me...you guys just need a GOOD lawyer

Lies! How about all those yahoo boys , did they refund the people they scammed? The law isn't fair sometimes. Most times you have to resort to self help.

If they had hired thugs to throw those people out, I'm sure this case would've been history by now.

Some tenants are demons. We've had to write off plenty of their debts in the past.

Go to any local government in Lagos and ask for the office where they complain about tenant and landlord. If possible go to the LGA at ikotun.
2 weeks them go park out

Go to the police, get a welder and put a protector on all the entrance to there houses, don't break into there house or break there doors or padlocks just out a protector and lock it, put a paper from a lawyer saying the court normally gives 6months to find a house that they have not, but have over stayed, that for them to enter there house they must pay for over staying the 6months, let them be the ones to waste there money and go to court to start fighting for the matter.

Mostdetailed:
You need to Know the court will not only give you possession of your building but you will be getting every denari the tenants have stayed in arrears.
From the moment their rent expired they became tresspassers to that/those room(s) they occupy and will pay every dime. PLEASE DONT MIND THE MISCONCEPTION THAT THEY ARE LIVING FOR FREE, THEY AINT. By the time the court gives judgement, apply to execute the judgement for unpaid rents.
Real.
