Well if I'm to be honest,I will sit this one out. I can't not marry/date a single dad either.

However I believe a child shouldn't be used as a cane to hit his mother or father.Children are blessings not curses so If I will be rejecting a single dad's proposal he will never find out why. Guys, DONT ever try to get married to single moms. Most of these single mothers got pregnant through their promiscuous ways (except DIVORCED ones and those whose husbands are dead).

Apart from our Nairaland brother that just walked out of his marriage with same mistake of getting married to a single mother, I have different cases up to 4.

Yes any marriage can crash but it is very true that at least, 80% of single mothers still get in touch with their exs and most times, sex is always involved.

That's why I keep using the word "most & many" and that means, not all of them. So, the rest might fall under your listed factors.

It's a more reliable conclusion that the chance that a wife, irrespective of her previous marital status, would cheat is directly related to the exposure she has with male folk. After all, What married men are really worried about is whether their wives would cheat at all, not who they cheat with.

Most times, what we don't know or hear no dey kill...imagine an ex, calling his married ex wife everyday just to check on his son but because the man doesn't want any issues, he decided to buy a land phone and told his wife to give the phone number to her ex hubby to be calling his son thru it...but still, the ex still continue to call his ex wife's number. Single mother knows the nitty-gritty of child delivery and care. She has a first hand experience with child training and any complexity that could come with it. She is a ready-made mother. So who do you think will raise my kid better? A single mother who has experience with kids or a fresh single lady who has not cut her teeth in motherhood?
Every kid you see, either it is yours or not, deserves good fatherly care and sometimes, it does not matter if such care comes from biological father or not
