Please house is there any university or college I can apply too that sends admission letter after admission ??

All schools send admission letter immediately admission is offered... in fact the admission letter is attached to the notification mail of offer of admission.

This is a dicy situation... and I will only tell you what I feel can be done byt still open to the house to add further..
This is my 2kobo

I would say, u should have requested for a deferment 2weeks to the resumption date seeing that your application is still in the pipeline..thats why the school seeing you are not requesting for a deferment, decided to terminate the admission therefore giving you the option of a refund.. well it has happened..

I feel you should either send a mail to the school and plead with them to defer your admission in that same course ,attach a letter showing that your visa application is still in progress or attach the last response you got from cic which is why you didn't reach out cos I feel it's faster to get a new admission letter than applying to another school which by now has closed their admissions portal(wild guess though).

ANSWER: I have been updating them on the school on my study permit situation even a month before the start date and they never told me any thing on revoke. i even did a mail earler to them on that same day they sent me the revoke letter. Although the revoke letter was automated. i have also send mails to them even today but they are yet to reply my mail. Again, how can i track my application or know what could be the cause of the delay. Thank you very much for you response(s).....GURU(S)...!!!!!

My question is, the mails you were sending a month ago.. is it for deferment or just updating them of your progress?...
Well.. you don't track. Every info about your admission status is meant to emailed to you or undated on your admission portal you opened to apply for the admission.
If the revoke is automated, then your application is still active, Wat u need to do is to mail the schools admission office..

You are doing a fantastic job here and your answers to questions asked has been spot on, God bless you.

To the bolded, it is not always the case. I had a 4.4 CGPA and I attended college in Canada. I also have many Nigerian friends with 2.1 that finished in Canadian colleges.

A 2.1 can choose college for so many reasons. Although it is always advised on here that if you have 2.1, masters should be your first option, this does not mean if you opt for college, your visa will be denied.

The major thing for a visa officer is career progression. On the completion of your UG, once you are going for postgraduate studies, whether college or University, and can prove you are a genuine student with good LOE, financial statement and so forth, you will get your visa.

Thanks Naijaforeigner again for the information.

Normally 1 year PGC is 8 months but some colleges have PGC with either a compulsory or optional 4 months Co-op. I shared a link of such in that post. This means 8 months plus 4 months Co-op.

Then once you are done with your program that has Co-op, you can take additional 4 months break before starting your next program. I shared the link in my previous post showing that it is allowed by CIC to take up to 150 days to work full time on the completion of your 1 year PGC.

4 months Co-op plus 4 months additional break on the completion of your program before the start of the new one, makes it 8 months.

P.s Also, while doing your Co-op which is normally Monday through Friday, you are still permitted to work 20 hours (standard normal student hours). Your Co-op work permit is different and separate form the work permit attached to your study permit. It means while doing your Co-op you are allowed to do up to 60 hours of work if you have the strength.

Thanks bro.

The money saved to be used to finance the second PGC, is it before of after essential expenses like rent, feeding etc?

You seem to have a good thing going in a lot of ways;
1. You have travel history and apparently no record of breaking any immigration law
2. You have a very very active sponsor that as a history of sponsoring you so you just need to get the proof of this in addition to what you have.
3. I'll advice you gotl for a PhD program or restrain from declaring your msc so you can apply for a msc program if you apply for another msc program you might have issues with "purpose or visit with the VO not understanding why you need to come over to Canada"
4. If you try the study route you can apply for your family via open work permit and all.

You have a very very active sponsor that as a history of sponsoring you so you just need to get the proof of this in addition to what you have.
That is the problem, I don't have any evidence of her sponsorship, she transferred the money to me while I was still in Nigeria. The money covered my first-semester tuition and other small expenses, but the subsequent semester was bankrolled by me.

The cold is something else at the moment. I am trying hard to break my coffee addiction but this cold wont let local man be great. I can't even imagine what people in those places (bolded) will be going through.

Hello Raalsalghul,

In terms of a career switch in a total different field, a PGD/PGC or a second degree is recommended. In this situation, work experience would count as a plus in both the admission and visa application process.

But if there switch is within same field and have some related courses, a Masters can as well be considered.

If after an admission is secured which shouldn't be a poblem especially applying to colleges, the onus to be able to convince the VO thereafter is on you. It is not impossible but could be painstaking. There are previous successful applicant who have been able to do this. This major thing is to be able to convince the VO on a given reason for the switch and prove that such move entails a career advancement or enhance your self-development.

All the best.

Would previous education in the new field in your home country go far in convincing the V.O?

For example, let's say the science graduate has done 1 or 2 courses in logistics in Nigeria here?

Hello Tobias,

I believe you are a big fan of OZ, based on your moniker.

There won't be any issue applying from SK if you have a valid residence permit or legal status. The most important thing you should justify is why going for a second Masters instead of a Ph.D. Also try as much to link your home ties to Nigeria since you have stronger ties to your home country than your current country of residence. Since you have a Master, you can as well give the EE a try

All the best
Yes, I'm a big fan of OZ!
Seriously, bro, PhD in Canada will be very costly, and I'm from a Social Science background and usually, not much scholarship is attracted to it.
About the EE, please, I thought it is for people who are currently employed? My last employment was in 2015. I have two master's degrees, so what are my chances?

My brother got a PPR, but has less than 6 months left on his passport. We though it is better for him to get a new passport, but we want to know if he can submit the new passport to CIC given his application was done using the info on the old passport.
If so what are your suggestions on how best to do this? Can he submit both? Do we have to a letter to CIC to explain the new passport?

Has anyone experienced this before, or been in this situation? If yes, what did you do?
Please everyone, your advise will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Yes sure he can. Let him submit it with the old passport. It is very simple

Hello Mudicua,

I hope Canada is treating you well. Its been a while. He can submit both PP (old and new). He can as well decide to submit just the new PP since the old PP number will be affixed in the new PP, either way is okay. There will be no need writing a letter.

Do well to also share his application timeline so we know when he submitted and when he got approved.

Hello Olayinkaji,
I think IOM should be better. Once you have contacted them, wait for their response.

Booking with them is easy. You just need to respond through SMS with your email address and they will send you the details. The fee is around 45k as at December 2019. And I believe you will get a slot before the end of February.
Best of luck.

As regards the home ties, what's the hope of a single under-30s guy, no wife and kids.

Will a landed property be enough proof?

Hello Raalsalghul,

Yes it would suffice. Thus, there are other aspect of proving one's home ties apart from landed properies or family — though these two are more popular.

The first thing to do is being able to capture the attention of the VO by proving to be a genuine student. If this can be actualized, even if you show a membership certificate of a church, it would fly. In some of my posts, I have mentioned other areas of showing home ties. You can as well take a look.

All the best.

Please guys i need your help. i applied for Canadian study permit since 25th November and my biometric was updated on 26th of november. This is my second application. My first application was a paper application and was denied then i have to respond to their complaints on my second application.

Now my the challenge is that, the class have started since on 17th of January and i couldnt travel because my application is still on process. on 15th of January i received a mail from Canadian immigration saying "we're still working on your application.
Again the school (Conestoga College) have revoke my admission with the option to request for refund. right now i dont know either to request for refund and reapply or to apply to another college.
what happens to my study permit application? The acceptace letter i used for my application, the class started on 17th January. wont applying for another offer contradict the information i gave in my study permit application?

Please the GURUS in the house help me!!!!!!!!!!

Hello CHRISPLACE,

The mistake you made was not deferring your admission the week to your resumption. It is very important that there is a new admission letter st hand before it is requested by IRCC. Thus, you can follow it up by sending emails to the international office or admissions that you have no intention to seek for a refund but deferring it is your utmost concern.

Mind you, the earlier the better and in some cases, revoked admission letters in some schools can be restored. I will advise to do through the staff contact directory page and search for the people in the administrative office. This way, you can send a plea for restoration to their respective emails and ask for assistance. If possible get their phone number and call them during work hours in Canada. Tell them your application is still ongoing and you need a valid admission letter to continue the processing.

Their responses would then determine if you have to quickly seek for a new admission elsewhere or as the case may be.

All the best.
