These are the tips I will give you.

I will suggest you do a thorough research about the school. What is the population of the school, what is the total number of international students in the school, how easy is it to get part time jobs in that city, are they flexible with tuition payments?

I will be honest with you, some places in Canada are dead zones (so isolated). As much as we are in Canada to learn, meeting people, going out, having fun is a very important aspect of education. The city you decide to study in Canada is very important for your mental health.

I wish you all the best.

To be honest I very much get your message. These are the things I initially considered that drove me here to ask the question initially. Guess there’s no one here studying in Niagara College. I’d keep my tabs open and explore other options. Thanks sir for your time.

Good morning
Have you tried using a MasterCard or Visa card?
Most times they say they don't want debit cards but it works.
Just try it out first.

What school are you applying to?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Nobody: 8:26am On Jan 28, 2020
I have exactly but it didn’t work actually
Even spoke to their international office

I am shock to see 40 and years old giving visa
My bro just got admission inot brandon and we are in the process of applying for visa, please can you help with some of the core document to get before applying, sponsor is Our Uncle and he has a company with CAC and also account statement balance is about 12 millions,

The course is Biology and undergraduate
Naijaforeigner:

God bless you for the bolded.

When I applied in 2018, the advise I got on this forum were from people who have never been to Canada. Also, that you are in Canada or have been granted study visa does not make you a guru in Canada visa. As far as I am concerned, no one is a guru when it comes to USA and Canada visa's.

I am even tempted to say that people who were delayed, took time to study notes, followed and observed patterns and have been on this forum for so long know more than me who is in Canada when it comes to study permits. I applied only once and got my visa. I may never know as much as the individual who applied thrice and learnt from it.

Who can apply for study permit in Canada?

No one has the right to discourage anyone from applying to study in Canada. The best we can do is guide applicants on how to convince the Visa officer, make them avoid common errors and the rest is on God.

CIC has not been consistent in how they grant visas to applicants, most especially Nigerians. Also, there are too many gaps in the list of documents on CIC website for study permit applications that is subject to different interpretations. I also think Canada allows their visa officers to apply discretion at will when it comes to study permit applications from Africa.

I know at least 3 Nigerians in Fanshawe that are in their late forties, been away from school for so long (over 10 years) and still got visa's. The recent one I saw was a woman almost 50 and she was given 1 year visa for a PGC course in Fanshawe college. How on earth do you explain that?

If you have the money, the right documents and want to study in Canada, apply.

NECO is recognised in a few schools. You might also need to apply as a mature student and make use of your work experience to boost your chances of getting an admission. Also try and apply for a skilled diploma program.

Thanks so much for this ans....

Hello thanks for all the information shared on this platform
I’m new here and I applied for admission in a school in Quebec called Université Laval since last year December Nd I have not received any response from them yet.Should I be worried?

Bro, i just sent you a message now, please check..I would need your help in getting started with my lil brother visa application

vibrant99:
If telling people to be more sensible is a crime , and it derails or kills the thread, i wonder what will.

You think getting a visa now in Nigeria has to do with motivation? Ok, lets agree it is, then 1 out of 100 will get a visa because it has to be spiritual.

People are wasting their monies applying for visa, People who cannot get visa , people who wouldn't even get a Dubai Visa.

Is it a crime if we add some quality control, advise people and even tell people not to apply for VISA at all? abi is this marketing firm for Canadian Government ?

Do you know the number of applications CANADA gets today? it was 10 times what it Got in January 2019, to what end? because USA visa is now a no go area, what happens next.... The same USA treatment will eventually creep in.

We Nigerians know how to kill opportunities, while you sit with your key pad and type prayers instead of realities on ground, less than 2% get study permit since Sept 2019 till date... and this is a good score?

Take this thread for example, how many successful visa was announced on this Thread number? how many application was announced?

we need to solve our problems everywhere we can in this country, even on Nairaland, it is not funny.

Bsc... Masters .. in Canada ... we all get the jerk! and the VOs too get it, so therefore you need to convince them thoroughly that education is what will take you to Canada and that the reason you want to spend that money,.... Any PHD that was rejected on this thread should raise a hand!!!

As much as we keep pushing people not to give up, lets also look deep into their chances and make them save some money, i believe in determination, but you cannot be determined by fallacy.

How successful is the Study permit this days? Let someone do a research.

You should get a positive response soon. I'm not sure but I think they give admissions starting February or mid.

Most likely by the end of February you should be getting a response from them.
Usually U of S starts to send out admission decision from mid February through March, depending on the program you are applying to.

Best of luck.

Hello Tolatrends,

The refusals won't pose any harm for as long as you declare or point it out to the knowledge of the VO. To an extent, your travel history especially that of UK would spice things up.

Using your parents as co-sponsor is a strong sponsorship factor. Please, go ahead.

All the best.

Hello Justmellow,

Good evening,

I have received my LOA from the school and want to apply subsequently. Now i tried the online application route and it automatically brought out my valid login details for the express entry profile which is due to expire in April 2020.

How do i go about this ?

Do i still proceed with the online login details or apply through the paper route .(My documents are a bit bulky, and have all been scanned and saved in a folder).

I am a bit confused. Kindly advise.

Thank you for your prompt response.

Best,

2. Manitoba is cooooooold.
3. Yes (but only part time working)
4. Yes
5. You get your work permit after studying and a year after working full time, you can apply for PR.

So so sorry to hear your Study Visa was delayed based on the aforementioned reasons.

The profile you shared is not well-detailed, please can you provide me with the following information.

1-) What's your proposed program of study in Canada?
2-) Who was your sponsor?
3-) What was your undergraduate studies?
4-) What is your current job role?
5-) What are your home ties to Nigeria? Can you give me a head ups on the type of documents you submitted to ascertain that you will undoubtedly return home after studies.

Your ability to provide these information will enable me have a clearer picture on what went wrong with your application and thus advise you appropriately for a successful re-application.

It will end in praises.

Thanks for reaching out.
The proposed program of study is Chemical Laboratory Technology
My sponsor is my Uncle
I studied Industrial Chemistry, graduated in 2014 and have not been idle since then
I work as a Laboratory Analyst/Researcher in a reputable environmental organization
I’m guessing home ties to Nigeria is one of the main issues here then, I didn’t submit anything of that type with the application. I’d need guidance on how to tie that along with the next application

Thanks

Thank you for replying. No we are not related.
He stated in the letter that as part of giving back(he is a politician) he gives financial assistance to deserving students which he does regularly and can be seen if you even google his name so he said my brother is a beneficiary of the initiative.
He is our uncles friend and he stated that there.
No we didn't show any link between them and no proof of history or ongoing assistance shown.
I am guessing thats why it was refused.Well we used an agent who didn't state we were meant to do that.
Please go through and advise, thank you.

I cannot remember the last time i saw an APPROVAL....

The Voice Up There will soon be heard, I only came with ideas and concept, and all i was understood was that i was killing motivations.

So many route to getting TRV has been scrapped and given less consideration,....

How about we talk about it and face it squarely .....

E.g, My distant Uncle Statement....

My Eldest Brother's best Friend's Statement ....

I left school 5 years ago, I have 2.2, I am going for PGD but I studied English, i want to go and study Maths now.

I have applied before they rejected me, i want to apply again immediately , because lectures start by next month....

Blablablabla...ETC

The gurus will come for me now and tell me "one" person got visa at the age of 95years , Yesterday night!
