Hello Ladies and Gentlemen

I just had a traditional wedding earlier this month. I'm not based in Nigeria. I provided all the finances for the wedding before I arrived Lagos. Everything listed to be bought for the wedding I provided all. To my surprise wedding that was suppose to take place in a hall had to take place in a cramped sitting room. No food, no drinks, no DJ etc. What did they use the funds for? I don't know. I asked questions and no answers given. To be fair to her family members, I didn't give money directly to her parents or siblings. I gave the funds to my wife to be.

Surprisingly on the day of the small wedding, her uncle was accusing me of not providing money to organize the wedding properly. My heart sank. I look in the direction of my wife to be and couldn't believe what just came out of her uncle's mouth. Whereas I provided money for everything. The wedding prayers went ahead and we were joined together.

After the dry wedding ceremony I began to ask questions but my new wife couldn't give me explanation. Fast forward to last week I was looking for money I kept in my drawer and couldn't find it. I decided to just keep quiet and watch. I set another trap. I had some US Dollars in my wallet and exposed the money for her to see. I went to the shower and lo and behold my new wife removed the dollars from my wallet. I got dressed after shower and we went outside to go somewhere together as my driver was in the car waiting. As we were going, I opened my wallet and saw the dollars gone. I blew a whistle right there and she denied it. I asked driver to return home. I had my parent and siblings at home on that day but I can bet my life on them. I told them what's going on. My new wife was all over the place and shaken. I refused to talk to her. I confided in my mother and explained how I set the trap for my wife. Surprisingly my wife started making moves. She planted the money all over the place which I saw as she was doing. I pretended I didn't see her. I refused to talk to her. All of a sudden she confronted me and attacked me that I suspected her to be the one who stole my money. She started saying she stoop so low to allow herself to be ridiculed in the presence of my family. I confronted her with evidence and she began crying and blaming devil. She has done series of money infractions that I couldn't list here. She fights me for money on daily basis since we got married. No money ever enough.

This is a woman that I gave a car to already and spent so much on to be comfortable. I just bought her another car to be given to her on her birthday. On the day she stole the dollars I had just given her 100,000 naira pocket money for the week. She's been crying and begging for two days saying it won't happen again. She has refused to eat.

Here is the bombshell I just confirmed she's now three weeks pregnant. I can't trust my life with her at this juncture. I'm leaning towards divorce. I'm too scared to be with her. She's too greedy.
plz can I ask u something...did u guys cut for a day and u marry the next day...or were you blind before u decided to marry her Sir...just thinking loud oo

Op, something isn't adding up in your story. How can you give someone 100K as weekly allowee? How long do you intend to do this? You gave her money for wedding food and drink and nothing was made available? Na jazz?

Even that jazz,no go work. That one no b wife o. You can trick her codedly to hospital and get her details, run DNA of the child and know if you are responsible, if yes, plan to take care of the child after birth and Jaapaaaa,if not, then end it up and get a divorce. No wristwatch to check time. Who wan marry thief naa?

One Amaka girl dey my mind o as I dey read this story, sheyyy no b she shaa because the babe too like abroad guys, meanwhile, she dates whoever pays her bills here. True life story. I really pity some men still falling for those kind of girls.

I com dey think ,could it be why someone sing ...,Amaka disappoint me? #justthinking.

Look before you leap younger men, when it comes to Marriage, avoid over materialisic girls oooo.

Those guys no get joy o,, they keep plenty Facebook accounts with different names and plenty Twitter accounts plus plenty sugar daddies too...No say I no warn u look. No follow kpekus forget your sense, these kind of babes add nothing to relationship, they feel, sex is all a man need in a woman.

Ask yourself this, are you marrying a life partner or sex partner?

Life partner should be ready to go through the thick and thin of life with you, offering all her time, talents, and treasure, not just sex,

Its too early for divorce proceedings. You could apply for judicial seperation (ie if you guys have signed marriage deed and whatnot) BUT I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO LEAVE HER. YOU CAN NOT TRULY BE IN A RELATIONSHIP WHERE YOU CANT TRUST YOUR PARTNER IN A MATTER AS SENSITIVE AS MONEY! GOD HAS GIVEN YOU THE EARLY SIGNS. I ADVISE YOU HEED TO THE WARNINGS!

For the sake of the unborn child, leave divorce out of the equation for now.

However, you cannot leave things like this. At the level she is at, only her words can't be good enough. She needs professional intervention, like have her see an expert and carry her parents along. Don't involve too many people for the sake of your child. Picture 10 years from now if anything is missing and your child is there, he/she will be suspected based on genealogy grin we baht gan for this clime.

There is need to get to the root of this bad habit. I think it's too late to back out at this time. Seek rehabilitation for her and see how thing turn out. She needs to learn financial responsibility as well. Good luck, OP.

I have my wife in Nigeria who is two months pregnant that I want her to deliver my baby in the U.S. What type of visa does she need to apply for? What documents do I need to give her to apply for visa?

In all, how do we go about having her in the U.S to just have the baby and go back home.

So you know all these and you still went ahead and bought her a new car? You are under the influence of Kanyamanta, I am not trying to ruin anyone's business but that is just the obvious. Go for deliverance, avoid churches, go the African way.

Op, I think they said marriage is for better for worse, your wife is in a situation, you are the God sent to deliver her, that's your duty and responsibilities, don't run away from it, she's just a thief not a husband killer, if buhari can release all the Boko Haram that have killed more innocent people and soldiers, and Nigerians see no big deal about it, I think helping your wife out of her situation is a simple stuff, if you divorce her. The next wife maybe violent type.

It's well, maybe you didn't really notice her character during the time of courtship, I won't advice you to divorce her, because that's not the best option, just talk to her and let her see reason for her to change that character.

I am saddened not by the theft but by the fact she might be carrying your child.

I am not saddened about the theft as the fault is entirely yours. There must have been signs of her bad side but you chose to overlook it or you chose to live in the clouds rather than be pragmatic about your future partner. ''Na Naija girl I go carry last last. I must come house come pick wife", na so the problem dey start.

You said you lived abroad. That is already raising red flags.

Must you come ''home'' to marry? Many of these relationships don't work out.

The people here have unrealistic and outlandish beliefs about you abroad. They think you swim in money and you pick money on the road. Her stealing is an indication of that belief. They have no clue as to how hard many of you work and the sacrifices you make to achieve success over there or even to get by for many. This goes for both men and women. If you think it is a lie, send your money home for your "brothers'' to build house for you without doing your due diligence.

That's why when many Nigerian guys take wives from here to America, friction begins to build up in the marriage and with time, it will culminate in divorce with madam taking all you've labored for. She might even become a nurse and start earning more than oga and start dragging shoulder with you. She also knows she has rights and the philandering common with men here in Nigeria may not go unpunished over there as it is here.

It is usually best you marry a Nigerian living abroad as both of you already understand the system. Or marry a foreigner that you think it can work out with.

It seems you want to leave her here in Nigeria while you stay abroad. Is it right? So, she will be here for months with no sexual contact or affection? Do you think most of these women will just be looking? You be wood? What of her?

And why don't you want to bring her over? Do you want to have your cake and eat it too? My father tried and now has 3 wives. He regrets it bitterly today.

If it is one wife you have with you in the states, be happy with it. If you're divorced, find out why your first marriage broke down and honestly try not to repeat that same mistake when choosing a mate and in the marriage as well. You may have your faults in the breakdown of the marriage.

I would have said you should dump her and move on. Unfortunately, she may be carrying your child.

People change. One of my dad's wives was quite aggressive when she was much younger but is very matured today. She never maltreated me though and I am close to all my half-siblings. Your wife too may realize someday that all her actions are wrong and change. It will be easier if your conduct is exemplary as well

Greediness of the highest order! For the sake of your unborn child give her one more chance but don't forget to punish her by reducing her pocket money. Get a family doctor that you trust and remit her antenatal fees. While some of us are here sourcing for fund to acquire skills she's abusing her opportunity
Mtchewwww

No other chance. Make una stop to dey push another person pikin to early grave because of sentiment.

It not only a sin, but it's very ungodly.

Op! Please divorce her asap.

If you eventually marry her, she will one day poison you to inherit everything you have toiled to get.

Divorce her with so much urgency.

Don't let anybody tell you otherwise.
