Everyone with a Social Security Number in the United States HAS a Credit Profile, let me be cautious more like every adult with SSN has a credit profile. It takes just one thing to activate it, it could be opening an account, opening a utility account, registering for school, job et al. According to a U.S. financial law can't remember which one and the Federal Credit Reporting Act, Financial, educational, institutional, employers anyone can pull your credit if you authorize them to. Personally, I cannot check all this items that you have written, but if he went to the bank to get financing, there is a Credit disclosure agreement which you sign authorizing the bank to initiate a "hard pull inquiry" on you. When that inquiry is made, it tell all that you mentioned on here without you not. According to a U.S.law regarding opening accounts, after 9/11, the federal govt along with congress when PAT Act was passed required financial institutions o verify your identity via your credit so as you can see your credit does NOT depend on whether you have an account or not.

And, he did all this 30 years ago?

And, has been financing this for the past 33 years?

I don' t get your question but if I tried, I hope this answers your question

Items on a credit file have a certain amount of life span before it become inactive or removed from your account, for instance late payments et al stay on your credit file for a maximum of two years to if you have liens that stay for 7 or 10 years if I'm correct to if u file for bankruptcy that stays for abt 15 to 20 years. Depending on your scenario, yeah your profile might be dormant but not inactive. Obviously, creditors will not use information from 30years to justify today, perhaps he has no history at all because it's probably deleted, but bottom line is that he has a credit profile, and just verifying his info through the banks automatically activates it again. The thing is that the banks will see it as a NEW profile rather than a revolving profile with revolving accounts.

Late payments when we intend to know how he got his account/mortgage in the UK in the first place?

Dude for real? Are you really asking this question?

Doesn't he have an mortgage file account #? All he needs do is call a AMEX International Banking Services, Western Union et al, and performs a wire as a payment using his Mortgage account number. When the merchant transfers money, it's credited to his account. All can be done with a minimal fee or he can use escrow services very easy under $500 depending on his monthly payments.

A bank account is totally different from a mortgage account. What they've been talking about is a bank account that he doesn't have funds in a foreign account. From utilities to loans, just like a social, an account number is a unique identifier to the merchant.

I want to know how he got the UK one?

If you closed your main account in the UK, any other account would become irrelevant. The said mortgage account is secondary

Too much storm in a tea cup.

The law requires him to declare and that is what he has done. The law does not require him (kindly correct me if am wrong) to say in 1999 I bought so so shares etc.

If anyone or any body or agency feels he has lied about the declaration they are free to take him up. Also, if anyone or any agency feels his wealth was ill gotten, he can be taken up on it.

hmm, interesting thread. I can contribute my bit in terms of the UK mortgage as I work in Consumer credits operations and underwrite loans as well. To get a mortgage is very difficult! Even if you have £2million pounds in your account, your credit rating must be Super excellent and you must meet the affordability criteria as well !!! and that means years of living and working on a good job in the UK. If Ajimobi has got no UK Current account and applies for a credit card with just £20 limit, he would be declined. A mortgage is an house loan and bank are very strict when it comes to lending.

two factors to get lending:Affordability and credit score.

Now, how does he pass the affordability criteria, that would depend on the value of the property and how much he earns. If he is an employee, he has to show up to 6months UK bank statement of regular income being paid into that account on specific dates of each month and he has to supply his payslip as well to back that up. If he is self employed, he has to show his UK bank statement as well as 2years audited UK business accounts signed by his UK Accountant. And of course UK passport or visa showing PR. Even t-mobile dey ask for passport before giving you high end contract phone sef, grin

Now the credit check. Even after supplying the items above, you still need an excellent credit rating to succeed and that takes years of living in the UK and you must be on the UK electoral roll as well for at least 3years!!.

I have stressed UK account, UK statements e.t.c because UK banks are very strict in lending and they want all evidence to be UK based so that it can be easily verified. Anything contrary to that is a straight decline.

How Ajimobi passed the two lending criteria listed above to own houses worth £450k and £1.95m is unrealistic. What most Nigerians do is pay cash outright or transfer the money from a Naija Bank to the house seller. And in 99% of cases, the cash are from ill-gotten wealth.

Thank you very much. Not all Nigerians are gullible, after all.

They will soon be here to say:

"Haaaa, na God bless him. Na Allah, na Jesus. Na the God of any religion from the Middle East.

Don't ask questions. Pray for your own money" (in most cases here, Nigerians mean corruption/corrupt income).

Yet they are 'Christians', 'Muslims'.

Buncha hypocrites!

Broke murdafuckers just can't fathom a rich nigga!!!

He been hustling his butt off while you was on Nairaland looking for a new way to whine about everything Nigeria,

My only problem though; I couldn't find any humanitarian records on this guy in question. I kinda prefer people interested in people's welfare to run people's money not some corporate exec.

And I think this gave em cheap labour. his counterparts in other parts of the world are wayyyyy richer unless he hiding his true worth but fear of disbelieve by people like whiners number 1 up in this sucker!!

Does he have humanitarian record? I can't find any!!

Putting an oil puppet in control of a state is rather disturbing in my opinion,

Anyone with humanitarian records on this guy? Something that can be seen as giving back you know. Or are we just plain gonna say it don't matter? corporate greed runs in everyone who's ever been at the top you know!!

Interesting. First oyo state governor to publicly declare assets.
Someone should inform Sahara reporters. It seems they've been paid by ladoja for the ownership of this quarter 361 land.

Do we have anyone to verify those properties in Nigeria? Yet he bought the US house in 2016 but claimed he owned it in 2011. This looks like anticipated purchases. Or are the properties being claimed different? Where is that US house he said he owned in 2012 and the UK one too.
