pls, by all means, tell us all what are the responsibilities that you are talking about? better yet, why dont you tell us all what changes (in dating lovers life) the minute they get married?!

In dating, a lady can visit once in two weeks. Meaning that her guy can entertain her twice in a month.
But in marriage?

if you entertained a babe twice a month, why do you think that when married they should go for entertainment everyday? just because you guys are married does NOT mean you should change your dating habits (unless you have kids)... so you guys would still go on dates twice a month, and the rest of the time watch Netflix at home while curling in the sofa, et voila!

btw: if/when these guys live together, then they will now have more money for entertainment anyway...

I get your point. But I think the choice of words in my previous comment is making you talk or reason like this?
Now, consider the word; "Cater" for her twice a month. Instead of entertain her twice a month

whats the difference....? whatever you did twice a month before, should also be done twice a month after marriage... unless we are talking of eating/sleeping together.

thats because you wrongly assume that marrying someone automatically means having children with that person.

STOP PLAYING YOURSELF. SHOW ME ONE MARRIAGE IN THIS COUNTRY WHERE THE COUPLES DELIBERATELY DON'T HAVE KIDS.

LET'S EVEN PRETEND THAT NIGERIANS DON'T HAVE RELATIVES WHO START SPRINGING UP FROM ALL ANGLES ONCE A PERSON IS MARRIED.

are you claiming that the minute you get married, you MUST have kids in Nigeria, even if you cant afford it? if you are broke, what can you truly offer begging relatives?!

For me is 5 million nd have your house and a car shikena I'm not that demanding angry

So a man should have 5m cash then a house and a car before marriage while you just have nothing? I tell you what. I achieved same before my induction except the house and ever since, fate has been throwin across girls like you and i do really well crushing them big time. One picked a job as a sales girl pay is 50k big nonsense. I told her i can't marry a woman with nothing less than 1m cash and her own apartment and earning not less than 150 a month, tough, she's going to lose i don't feel sorry, i dont love, she doesnt mind. She just wrote NDLEA exam and is praying things work out. I wish all men can be like me cold, blunt, and a maestro of their game.

thats because you wrongly assume that marrying someone automatically means having children with that person. there is a HUGE difference between marrying someone AND having a child with that same person.

- having a kid is a LIFELONG decision while you can separate from (and subsequently divorce) someone in just a few days.
- if you can both survive as a couple before marriage, why should anything be different after signing that piece of paper (aka if you both were happily eating garri before, then thats what you should settle with after marriage)
- whether married or single, nobody should ever dream of having children, unless they have the mean to properly care for these children (emotionally, physically and most importantly, FINANCIALLY )

You're correct. However, you can't take out the possibility and certainty of child bearing and that's the crux of the matter. To raise children that will reward your old age is excruciatingly expensive unless u want just body counts. Anyhow anyhow

let us be realistic tho, financial security is a very important factor. Money would influence the level of happiness in the relationship. Life is complex. That 300k wouldn't be enought to start up a family with at least three members.
The child's basic welfare, feeding, education, health care, etc. Apart from maturity, both physical and emotional, money is another solid foundation on which a decent marriage would built.
how exactly do you start a family with 3 members? You'd marry two wives at once?

There's no particular amount of money that ever makes one ready. If you're in with the right person with just 300, 000 naira, marriage will be bliss. You people should stop attaching happiness to money. Money is only a means to an end. undecided

MEN should avoid MARRIAGE.
Why would you be saving CASH just to attract your DEATH WARRANT home.
With the Current Rate at which Nowadays Ladies KILL men, it will be advisable to steer clear off MARRIAGE.

Invest your MONEY in something meaningful.
MARRIAGE is never an INVESTMENT, except you are lucky to have an Esther as a wife.

BABY MAMA, Is all You need for now.
With that you are not legally bound to your death

All is dependent on the location and parties involved.

Here in Ifitedunu, you do not need to have large sums of money in your account before deciding on getting married. All you need is to show capability, not capacity, to take care of your wife and children, if any.

I have already attended 7 wedding ceremonies this year and it is still February, 18.

We do not have too many rich young men here. All we have are promising and hardworking men. They are the ones women here submit to.

May God bless the very good people of Ifite. If it wasn't for Ifite, I'd still be unmarried, broke and lonely by now.

I had that mindset that I have to be a millionaire before marriage, now if I can pay rent take care of food and invest for myself, and addition mouth then we will be alright. Good advice before person use pension money raise child
