Most Muslims you see in Akoko are not direct descent of Ondo state. Most of them are from the neighbouring kogi state ( Ebira) people. And those from Ibilo, ighara from Edo state.

That's why you all should go and sit down. Most of you base your arguments on visibility. Most of you say Lagos, Osun, Oyo are majorly muslims because of the names you know from those places which are not even up to a hundred. You should rather pay a visit to those places to understand better what you're discussing. For example, Iwo has a very large population of Baptist members like Ejigbo its next neighbor. Though muslims are the majority in both towns, in between them, they have a number of smaller towns and villages that are mostly Christians.

I really don't think this argument is healthy though. Religion is not such a burning topic in Yorubaland generally especially among the enlightened ones.

Suffice to say though that most Yoruba Christians are Pentecostals whose doctrines dictates an aversion to politics which is why you see the muslims dominate south west politics in recent times. Post-colonial Yoruba politicians were however majorly orthodox which is why you see so many of them in politics then unlike what you have now.

All of them are Yoruba Muslim.
