Tosin Adeoti What often baffles is our level of selective amnesia and lack of awareness. The people who gave lengthy predictions at the turn of the year without mentioning the possibility of a disease outbreak... Who have said Divine Mercy was what had stopped us from being ravaged by coronavirus like it's happened at godless China... Now that the disease is amongst us, these same people have turned around to say Special Prayer Sessions are necessary to avert widespread nationwide infections. And no one is saying, 'hol'up, something is not adding up here. This cannot be correct'. What about the yeye people who said Allah was punishing China for her maltreatment of Muslims? Nonsense and divine punishment! If this is not brainwashing, I don't know what else is. |

"Once David recovers the ark and celebrates its restoration, the pageant on the way to the capital is struck by a mysterious and disturbing calamity. One of the oxen pulling the cart that bears the ark stumbles and a man named Uzzah, fearing for the ark, reaches out and holds it to ensure it does not fall. Instantly God strikes him down. What do we make of this story? Some have attributed it to the incorrect means of transporting the ark—it should be carried by poles on the affixed rings and on the shoulders of the Levites, not loose in a wagon (cf. Num. 7:9). Others see the ark as a box charged with divine energy that cannot be touched. Still others see this as an example of the titanic peevishness of a God who slays at whim. Theologically, we can take note of the insight of Rav Kook, twentieth-century scholar and mystic, who pointed out that it was the oxen that stumbled. Uzzah should have steadied the animals, not the ark. Kook sees this as a paradigm of those who seek to change God’s word to suit the challenges of the world instead of seeking to right the problems in accord with the law. However homiletic, Kook’s interpretation is one more indication of the profoundly mysterious, troubling nature of the episode." ~ David Wolpe's "David - A Divided Heart" |

The Age of Reason starts when you question things adults tell you. For some it starts at age 5, some at 65. Some never start. |

What better way for God to show he exists than making sure that his children are uninfected by coronavirus? But what do we have: - Saudi Arabia has cancelled all pilgrimages to Mecca and Medina. - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints suspends all worship services worldwide due to coronavirus. - DeLand church closes after member tests positive for coronavirus. - Rome Catholic Churches Ordered Closed Due to Coronavirus, Unprecedented in Modern Times. What does these all teach us? It is when you expect God to show up that he never does. You need him to help you pass a simple exam, something you can do all by yourself, you attribute the success to him. But if you need him to cure a global pandemic, he never shows up. Adults should be wiser than this. |

Africa is full of people who have degrees, fluent in their slavery Master's English. Yet we have more churches and mosques than factories. They said education is the key to success. But that's not the case here. The education we are being served is ignorance approved. We need to wake up. Someone said earlier to me today that Christ will come like a thief in the night, I'm so sick of hearing that all the time, I told him when we catch him, we will treat him like a thief |

You will hear them saying, satan is powerless and he has no control over their lives but you'll still hear them blaming satan when they fall sick, when they get sacked, when they have accidents, when things don't go their way and when they are broke. Common sense is hard though. |

LordReed:They could have done better with that fiction really. Marvel comics make much sense. One would have to have abandoned all reasoning to believe all that load of crap. I visited a friend two weeks ago, he's a Christian of course. His nine year old daughter asked me a question, she asked: " Isn't it rude that Christians pray to God on Sundays, his resting day?" That questioned stunned me, I was initially quiet, then laughed hysterically. I asked her dad to answer, then I watched him crash and burn as he tried to explain away his stupidity. Then I told his daughter; "did you know that God said we should kill anyone that doesn't that doesn't observe Sabbath? Ex 31:14, that we should kill anyone who sins? EZEK 18:4, that we should kill all strangers close to a church? NUM1, 48-51 and that he didn't forgive the first people who sinned and we all suffer for it today?" She turned to her dad and asked:" dad, is all that true?" He was sweating now, and was giving me a stare that could revive Tupac. He told his daughter I had to go, and he escorted me out. That young girl is briiliant, already asking the right questions. I hope she turns out better than her parents and not another slave to religion. |

God created man , according to popular religions, solely to worship him. A microscopic organism is keeping man away from fulfilling this paramount task for his creation in God's holiest sites of all places. This is an insult to God! |

I have heard this about a gazillion times; 'The spiritual world controls the physical.' 'Physical events in real time are manifestations of events long sanctioned and encountered in the spiritual realm.' 'The carnally minded can neither understand nor tap into the unlimited wealth of wisdom and knowledge inherent in the spiritual realm.' The world desperately needs a cure or at least a vaccine to curb the corona virus pandemic and I expect folks who have access to the 'esoteric stuff' of the spiritual realm to come up with the goods. Oh. I almost forgot, the covid19 pandemic could be part of the end-time grand plan occurrences that would eventually bring about the end of the world. But, if this is the will of God, of which I expect our spiritual minded people to know about, why are they taking physical and carnally minded measures to stop the spread of the disease? |

GOD GIVES KNOWLEDGE As God fails to protect the world against coronavirus I see God believers turn to the 'Knowledge' argument. The argument goes like this: Science is a product of knowledge. That knowledge is granted by God. This is the usual cop out. And it's silly. Firstly, let’s set aside the fact that this is not how knowledge works, and also the fact that this claim is utterly narcissistic - I mean, why didn’t this knowledge help people when Black Death killed 200 million people between 1346-1353? HIV AIDS has killed 36 million people worldwide INCLUDING newborn babies, who we can’t blame for “fornication” or whatever religious excuse they’d use for why we have HIV. That being said, believers seem to not fully grasp the implication of what they say. Because by claiming that knowledge comes from the “most high God”, they’re also saying that God is deliberately hiding the knowledge to deal with this virus, letting thousands die and hundreds of thousands infected. Even so, despite the fact that people are currently praying to him, he will let more people be infected, economies crash leading to more poverty, people would lose their loved ones and families would go hungry, all because this God want us to “find” where he kept the knowledge to create vaccines. Would they like to HONESTLY tell us what would be the best description for someone who chooses this part? |
| Re: My Thoughts And Questions About Religion by joseph1013(op): 3:25pm On Mar 17, 2020 |
CORONAVIRUS: LET'S PRAY They will tell you that prayer unlocks knowledge. And God desires that prayers be made before solutions are given by him. Prayer doesn’t unlock any knowledge. This is a fallacious statement that doesn’t make any sense. If prayer unlocks knowledge then everyone who has ever discovered or created something would only be those who pray, but the evidence shows that’s not true, because anyone who commits and searches for solutions discovers something over time. Believers need to stop attributing prayer to anything near objective discoveries and outcome. It’s disingenuous. The National day of prayer announced by the White House for Sunday was the most useless thing to ever do to tackle this issue. Italy is the “home” of the pinnacle of Christianity - with a Pope that prayers nearly every moment of every day. Have you seen its current state now? It seems to me that those who are on the side of this inane argument are willing to discount the loss of lives, the death and destruction that is right within the other side of this claim people on the side of your argument make. It’s very unfortunate. |

A NOIPolls reveals that 26% of Nigerians think they are immune to coronaV. When asked why, majority of them (40%) said it's because "I am a child of God." Religion is dangerous not just to believers but to all of us living among them. |

joseph1013:This year, I've been to church many times. But last Sunday, I swore with my life that they would never see me there again. One of the top churches in Nigeria. The pastor (and everybody) were jubilating that we don't have corona in Nigeria because God has been listening to our prayers. "Oh, what a marvelous God we serve". He went on to criticize other "sinning" countries, and echoed how Nigeria is loved by God. come and see how people were celebrating and jubilating. I was so angry, and swearing in my mind. I didn't stand up from my seat for anything, all through service... in protest against those people ![]() After service I was the first to jet out. Now I wonder what these Christians will say, when all over naija the thing is circulating? meanwhile they're all prepared with their usual cop out of "God used the virus to teach the world a lesson". They're already saying "God cannot intervene because he already gave scientists the brain to figure something out for the cure". These people are foolish. When I mentioned God in this situation, one had the nerve to say "God is not bound by contract. He decides to act or not". but when it comes to helping people who prayed to pass an exam (after studying).. contract disappears or what ![]() All the miracle workers, from the highest the Pope, to the least charismatic member, we're all relying on science for a cure. What about those idiots that raise people from the dead. suddenly their miracle working God has disappeared? worst thing is that they're now offering preventative tips instead of beating their chest to the capability of their God. I'm an atheist. and so is the Pope, and all the men of God in Nigeria, and all over the world. We all agree together that God is useless but I'm the only one saying it out loud because Christians don't come to my church to give me money on Sundays. ![]() |

CAPSLOCKED:Always have similar feeling every Sunday and every time the preacher gives sermon, my heartbeat increases because every word from the pastor's mouth gets me angry. Common sense as it is, is not common and these pastors don't have any. He went on preaching about Elijah prophecy about no rain fall for years, Elisha by cut a stick. threw it into the river and the iron head float while the stick sinks. The part that got me angry was when he said Corona is not for the children of God who truly obey his and do his will. But God needs to test you first. Note there's difference between test and temptation. So, You need to test God and see if He will not answer you. I can hears someone say they have come again. See our church don't ask for money o. I have the opportunity during my 3 month leave to visit other churches I won't mention names, they collect nothing less than 3 to 6 offerings on Sundays like this. So try God and see if He will not answer. Remember Abram made a sacrifice. If God can ask Abram, then who are you. I pray God will use me for his glory. I'm sure if God say go sacrifice Ismael, he would not bother taking his to mountain, he would simply kill him at his backyard. But it is Isaac God wants because he born him at his old age. You know who the fruit of Ismael are? (drop Mick) Muslim Boko Haram.Later told us the church now has a plugin with most bank app which we can transfer money direct. |

Report has it that more than 65,000 people have recovered from the Coronavirus in China. But guess what? None of them was treated with anointing oil or zamzam water. But some retards are shouting science has failed humanity. How about we shutting down all laboratories and use the money for medical research to recruit more prayer warriors, since it's only God that can take us out of this quagmire? |

CAPSLOCKED:I thought I was the only one that still goes to church and sometimes mosque, to get my dose of bullshiit updates. Most of the things I hear are insults to intelligence of middle school students. Yet you see adults swallowing every BS hook line and sinker. One stupid Alfa even said no one should listen to those scientists, that the only thing Nigerians need is prayer. I had to stop him right there and then, telling people to ignore him, that even people are dying in Iran and Iraq, and they pray too. He hasn't been replying my greetings since that day. |
