U are right if any country want the trophy they need to come out and fight for it we are also strong mentally ,more top level players ..Cameroon and south Africa have given it all but they still can't wrestle the trophy from us
Schemerkhiz:

of course we are no.1 Favorite to win it...
we have all the players who can win it for us it's just that our NFF are the major set Back ..

One thing you should note is that our Superfalcons will never let go of that trophy without a good flight even amidst poor preparations..The player's are doing it for the name and Legacy the the Ex-players have created not because of the Money..

12 Falconets decamped ahead World Cup qualifier
 March 13, 2020

Ahead of next weekend’s Africa Zone FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup first leg qualifier against Burkina Faso, Falconets Moses Adiku has decamped 12 players out of 37 that began camping two weeks ago.

Adiku who spoke after the training, said he retained 25 players to enable the technical crew concentrate and work on the lapses already identified.

He said the Burkinabes were not push over in female football especially at this level and every Africa nation want to be represented at FIFA-organised competitions, adding “our players have advantage due to their involvement in our domestic league.

“I have requested for the match tape of Burkina Faso. You know this is football, you can’t underrate any team. Women football is fast growing in Africa unlike before when our national teams had easy passage in both CAF and FIFA-organised championships.

“My target is to win the first leg in Ouagadougou with wide margin like what the Flamingoes did to Guinea by beating them 6 -1 to make the return leg a formality.  My joy is that some of the girls are not new to international competitions.

“The girls also know the importance of the qualifier and only the best I will be selected for the match. For now the camp is injury free and I pray it continues to be injury free throughout our qualifiers,” he said.

The Falconets yesterday played a scoreless draw with Nasarawa Amazon in a friendly match after they lost

2-1 to Abuja U-17 Boys in their  first warm up game.

The  2020 FIFA U-20 Women’s  World Cup will be co-hosted by  Costa Rica and Panama in August.

U20 Women's World Cup qualifier: Falconets pummel Naija Ratels in friendly
goal.comMar 16, 2020 7:05 AM

Moses Aduku's side continued with their fine build-up in training for Burkina Faso as they thumped the amateur side on Sunday

The Nigeria U20 women's team stepped up their preparation for their Burkina Faso showdown with a 7-0 win over Naija Ratels at the Fifa Goal Project pitch, Abuja on Sunday.

The Falconets had previously played two warm-up games since their resumption of camp on March 1, losing 2-1 to Abuja U17 boys before a playing out a 0-0 draw with Nasarawa Amazons.

Moses Aduku's ladies continued their build-up with captain Gift Monday giving them an early lead from a goalmouth scramble against the Women's Amateur League side in the 15th minute.

Esther Onyenezide doubled the lead moments later before Blessing Okpe breezed past her markers to net a third of the match and Joy Omewa made it 4-0 five minutes from before half-time.

The ruthless national side continued from where they left in the first half despite fresh legs introduced as Grace Igboamalu added the fifth and Precious Christopher grabbed a brace to seal the triumph.

The win was the first for Aduku's team in three warm-up matches and they have scored eight goals, conceding just twice.

The Falconets were initially scheduled to battle Burkina Faso in the first round of the U20 Women’s World Cup qualifier on March 21 but has now been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Why I joined Belarus side, FK Minsk – Chioma Wogu
March 26, 2020

“I’ve been praying for it to happen, when I was called to come for trials I was very happy, because as ladies we have limited time to pursue this game, so we can settle down before people started asking questions and when the Offer came to go to Belarus I jumped at it as I wanted to experience football outside Nigeria.”

On her choice to settle for Belarus women champions, FK Minsk she added that it was a chance to expose herself to the world “The most important I needed was to play champions League, I always prayed about, I just want to get the Champions League experience, even if it meant playing in the lowest leagues in the world as long as I can play Champions league, this way other clubs will see me and sign me.”

The Former Rivers Angels’ goal poacher disclosed her zeal to shine and make an impact with FK Minsk, she said:

“Personally I want the world to hear my name and my exploits in the league, my target is to secure a starting shirt and score lots of goals and with my influence win all the trophies available for the team.”

Super Falcons best ever defender is not Florence Omagbemi or Kikelomo Ajayi. Here is the top 5.

opera.com

April 2, 2020 8:31 AM

Defenders are undervalued in the world of football but their tasks are enormous in helping the team achieve desired results.

They are the pillars that hold the building due the stolidity and calmness they give to the team.

In Africa, Nigeria is a force to be reckoned with due to their exploits in women's football. They have never missed out at the FIFA World Cup and won Cup of Nations titles.

Over the last three decades, some fantastic defenders have played for the Super Falcons. These players are seen as legends due to their contributions to the growth of the game.

Here are the top 5 defenders to play for the Super Falcons:

5. Faith Michael-Ikidi

Ikidi has represented Nigeria on the senior national team since 2003.

Her honours for Nigeria includes three Cup of Nations Titles and four World Cup appearances in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2019.

4. Kikelomo Ajayi

Nicknamed “Mamayaro”, Kikelomo Ajayi won five Cup of Nations titles in a row between 1998 and 2006, and took part in the 1999 and 2003 World Cups and the 2000 and 2008 Summer Olympics.

She served as the Nigerian women team’s captain.

3. Osinachi Ohale

Osinachi Marvis Ohale (born 21 December 1991) represented Nigeria in the Cup of Nations tournaments of 2010, 2014, 2016 and 2018. She has won the competition on all four occasions.

The former Rivers Angels and Houston Dash star was also on the Nigerian squads of the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2011, 2015 and 2019.

2. Florence Omagbemi

Omagbemi played for the Nigeria women’s national football team for over a decade, appearing in four FIFA Women’s World Cups including being a member of the team that reached the second round in 1999 before losing to Brazil.

As captain, she won the Cup of Nations with the Super Falcons on four occasions in 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2004. She was also part of the Nigerian team which competed at the Summer Olympics for the first time in the 2000 tournament in Australia.

1. Onome Ebi

No defender has made more appearances for Nigeria than the centre-back; she made her debut as a 20-year-old and went on to feature at World Cups in 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019.

She featured in 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019 editions of the FIFA Women’s World Cup. She also played at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Ebi was also a member of the Nigerian squad in the 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018 editions of the Cup of Nations, winning the tournament four times 2010, 2014, 2016 and 2018.

COMPARING SUPER FALCONS STARS TO NIGERIAN FEMALE MUSICIANS

Comparing Women Footballers to their Music counterpart might bring about a lot of controversies, but many of these footballers cherish and love listening to these musicians.

Reigning African Footballer of the year Asisat Oshoala once confessed that she is a fan of Tiwa Savage and also Super Falcons Star Francisca Ordega is known to be a big fan of Simi.

So we tried comparing these people in this article.

Onome Ebi (Asa)

Great leaders, good role models to all, unique in their fields, strong women, easy going, versatile and emotional.

Desire Oparanozie (Omawunmi)

Ambitious, known for their love for grassroots, caring, hard working, fulfilling, they can be disappointing at the same time.

Asisat Oshoala (Tiwa Savage)

The lucky ones. This duo is known for the way they give back to the society, they easily adapt to any new environment they find themselves as achieve something great in each area they specialize on.

Mama Jam and Ashabi toh Sha dollar keep it up.

Francisca Ordega (Yemi Alade)

Fashionistas. Strong duo, easy going, hard working, full of life and sensational. These two are known for their free lifestyle but when it comes to business or work they focus really hard and achieve their aim.

Rashidat Ajibade (Simisola)

Two smally. The green snakes under the green grass, very cunning. Their appearance doesn’t really tell who they are. They can easily bite if the opponent is not careful. Open minded and cool.

Six foreign coaches battle for Super Falcons’ job

By Gowon Akpodonor |   05 June 2020   |   8:03 am

• Omagbemi, others can be assistants, says NFF

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)’s search for a foreign coach for the Super Falcons may have attracted no fewer that six managers, The Guardian has learnt.

The NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, had declared recently that he would do everything possible to get the best coach for the Super Falcons no matter where the person comes from.

The Guardian learnt yesterday that six coaches from different countries had indicated their interest to handle the Super Falcons.

The last foreigner to handle the team, Thomas Dennerby, a Swede, resigned shortly after leading the Falcons to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup despite having a year left on his contract. He took up the job in January 2018 and led Nigeria to lift the 2018 AWCON title in Ghana before leading the team to the knockout stage of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.

An NFF official told The Guardian yesterday that two female and four male foreign coaches are currently jostling for the Super Falcons job. The official refused to name the nationalities of the job-seeking foreign coaches.

Another official of the NFF who spoke with The Guardian yesterday hinted that the federation had decided to engage a foreigner for the Super Falcons job, thereby ending speculations that the NFF was considering the duo of Florence Omagbemi and Mercy Akide for the job.

“We are going for a foreign coach for the Super Falcons’ job,” the official said. “We want to avoid a situation whereby a local coach will be holding us to ransom after getting the job. They always have that attitude of showing off their bad characters after getting the job. We don’t have time for that any longer.”

The official, however, stated that engaging a foreign coach for the team does not mean shutting the doors against ex-Super Falcons players and other Nigerian coaches. “If someone like Florence Omagbemi wants to be part of the team, she can come in as an assistant coach. That is the best we can offer her for now.”

The Guardian recalls that Omagbemi led the Super Falcons to win the 2016 AFCON title, beating host Cameroon in the final. Her contract was not renewed by the NFF. A majority of the players are said to be clamouring for Omagbemi’s return to the team.

Ngozi Okobi is one player in that team that Thomas Dennerby didn't utilized so well, We need the coach that can play her well behind the Strikers so she can serve them with those killer passes that can bring in Goals...

Just one Ball from Okobi to any of the Strikers will bring you the goal you want,

One thing we have always Lack of recent in the team is a Natural Defensive Midfielder, Bring in 19yrs old Benfica FC defensive Midfielder Christy Ucheibe who is that type of Kante player that never relent or get tired in doing the dirty job in the Midfield, Then Allow Ayinde play Centrally.. This will give room for Okobi to do her usual job of feeding the attackers with dangerous balls...Long/shots passes..

Against South Africa during the AWCON Final you would see how Coach Desire Ellis played two Defensive/Center Midfielder (Makhabane and Smeda against Okobi) still yet she still delivered some danger balls which one of them resulted to the penalty Asisat Oshoala missed...

We really need a coach that Understand our players and how to use them well...

We have Fast and Physical Strikers
Desire Oparanozie
Asisat Oshoala
Fransisca Ordega
Ebere Orji
Uchenna Kanu
Chinwendu Ihezuo and the Rest..
Rasheedat Ajibade has no business playing as a Center Forward, play her from either of the Flank and see her deliver ( That's the position she plays for her Club)

Anam Imo plays for the Best Club in Sweden and she's doing well too... If she's not good Rosengard Won't retain her at all...

I would prefer between a Spanish, Dutch or a German Coach for the Superfalcons....

The Spanish coaches love playing the Tactical and Technical and more of (Tiki Taka) style of football, always making their Midfield work well.. the Dutch are a little bit the same adding some pace and Tactical aspect to it., while the German love Aggressive and Direct Football which requires much Strength, pace which our players have..

They can also bring in a American Coach, Their game is all about being Athletic, Experience and Tactically Sound, Combined with their never say die attitude...
