Never love or marry out of pity. It will have a horrible rebound effect. She's done well for you, you're grateful but that's that. If you don't feel up to it, leave her be, because trust me, love will change the dynamics of the relationship between the two of you and a heartbreak will destroy everything.

The bolded is just it. Not only the generation but the couples and children involved as well.
It's unfortunate that those children will just grow up into misery cos of the 'love' mistake or ignorance of the parents.
While they deserve to be happy, anybody that witnesses their crisis will fear fear.
If at all anyone marry SS for love or pity, they should at least try to adopt children and enjoy the se.x and companion part only....but some will not hear.
I even read in one similar thread like this, where some were encouraging "faith", that it can change the genotype.....though I believe in the power of God to do anything but some faith are better not exercise blindly.
