Reading other people's comments just made me laugh and remembered mine.

Both parents were quite loving and caring as in very caring. But my mum can beat for Africa. As in sometimes I'll be asking if she's truly my mom. While dad is strict and a disciplinarian. if he says he'll give you six stokes of the cane, it six. But I still preferred him to mom because his six stokes of cane only came once in a blue moon. But mom? Haaa... She beats at the slightest and that made me distant from her and closer to popsy. That man is a whatsup niggar...

Asides from the constant beatings, mum was a wonderful woman. She was able to bring up all six girls in the fear of the lord amongst wolves and lions.

God bless her soul.

I miss my dad so much, he's the best dad ever. I only lived with him for 15 years then death came calling. I miss his funny jokes, no dull moments with him.

for my mum, those days while we were still growing up,she can send you on errands so many times at the same location. Instead of her to list all she wants you to buy, she will be sending you one by one

My dad dey vex me die, he too dey fear and is very stingy, infact na she infect my mum with stinginess.

If I get into any problem at all, whether na me find or na them find me, he must support them. My dad never supported me anytime am in trouble. I dont call him on phone at all.. he is stiff and rigid, 0 atom of romanticism.
Infact he is just there as my dad, no form of father sin relationship.. although he dey try ooo, but he no get any chil at all.

My mum on the other hand is the opposite of my dad. Although my dad has colonized 60% of her. My mum is still better shaa.

Haba. I thought you wanted to share business idea. Anyway I will try it. There is one new hotel they just built at the junction. I will go there now, stand by the entrance and say it. They have mopol sha. Hopefully, them no go flog me this hot afternoon

My mom was very particular about everything & I mean EVERYTHING. According to her, there's a "correct" & "incorrect" way of doing normal, everyday stuff. You're hanging laundry outside on the washing line, you better do it "right" or she'll make you redo it, even if it takes several retakes. Chopping onions? Whoa! Hold it right there! There's a wrong & right way of doing that too, the bits have to be even in size. Your chopped onions have to look "pretty" & cookbook standard She was extremely OCD. This particular trait of hers used to annoy me quite a bit growing up because I had places to be & people to see, so I had no time or patience for doing things perfectly. But I had to do things her way no matter how much it frustrated me or I would have never heard the end of it...how I "ALWAYS" do things "Half-ass" because I'm hurrying to go play...like I'm "getting paid to play". LOL! That was my mom, a drama queen of note.

My neighbours wife almost ruined my childhood with this... She will beg and almost cry for you to help her fetch water meanwhile her kids refused to do it.

Anytime she called or sent for me, I just ignored her.

My papa they always use 1960 mentality take they advise me in this modern day

I still did it yesterday before i traveled to mys station. And my daughter cannot complain.
