Without Mass Testing, we are just cooking a recipe for disaster.

Lockdown means nothing without testing, isolating and treating infected ones.

Switzerland Discards Lockdown; Goes For Mass Testing and Fast Treatment

You are right.

But the total testing kit we have in Nigeria cannot cover a local government's population.

We lost our advantage when we freely allowed potential carriers to go home.

Right now, we will need hundreds of thousands of testing kits to cover majority of the exposed people.

4,370 first contacts are said to be missing. Who knows the number of people they may have infected?

We can't sustain lockdown for long but neither are we massively importing test kits.

With billions donated. There is no way we can not broker deals with countries to import quality kits in mass and start testing, isolating and treating infected ones.

See how much billions donated and all they can say is stay at home.

Covid19 is full blown in Nigeria already. Just that we do not have enough testing mechanism. Observe that the more the testing network expands, the more the number of confirmed cases.

It is not really a positive if you look at the cascading effect.

Price drop if it happens can only be temporary to clear already stocked merchandise.
This is because we import most of our consumed goods.

If there is very low oil price, there will be little dollar for import and the forced devaluation
will cause the price of basic items to shoot through the roof.

I agree with you. But if that happens we will be forced to look inwards and make needed adjustments. Only few will have to depend on imported goods. Dear there must be a way around this because man must survive. My dear is that crime rate will soar. And criminals hardly discriminate.

Sincerely, having survived malaria again and again and again, I do not fear this ravaging virus. What I do dread though is the post-coronavirus era. Truly unless the price of oil shoots, the economic effect that would trail this virus will be unimaginable. It will sure take a while before the world recovers from this disaster. Not even the WWll shut down the entire as did this virus - 200 countries and territories on edge. Never in history!

Nigerian Government should better say the truth about this virus cos many Nigerians thinks this virus is a joke.. many Nigerians still leave their houses to God knows where... it's very unrealistic that a whole Nigeria has only 131 cases because we are one of the most populated country in the world.. USA has over 100,000 and South African has over 15,000.. and they are telling me we have only 131 cases after Nigerians all over the world trooped into Nigeria for safety and assylum..this is a pure lie.. Nigerians better stay indoors for your own safety.. go and watch the news and see how Italians are dying.. infact no space to bury the bodies anymore.. then imagine how Nigeria could be..God forbid

Stop spreading lies, when did South Africa got to 15k confirmed cases

I think there should be a house to house diagnosis for this issue, especially in states like Lagos, FCT, Oyo and so on. Let's settle everything once and for all.

They would have been overwhelmed by now if there are 50k case.
They already know there will be a surge that's why they are expanding the isolation centres. I know for sure there will be uncaptured cases where the person fall sick and get well at home.

The aftermath of the Corona virus would not be a pleasant world of reality shows and vanities, but of agonies and bare knuckle survival.

There is always a solution but how many lives will be sacrificed before stability is achieved is the main concern.

There is currently a viewpoint gaining ground in the US where they will allow the sick and the elderly to die in order to save their
economy.

I see this happening if the virus spread does not abate sooner given the man in the white house.
Some other countries may then follow the same route.

Coronavirus can never kill Nigerians the way it killed Italians, Spanish, Americans, Iranians, Chinese, Germans, etc.

Our weather is different from theirs. This virus kill people mostly through pneumonia like attacks that attack the lungs, the heart which makes breathing difficult. Just make sure you are always in warm environment, avoid cold drinks, take more of hot meals and drinks.

Take hot shower no more cold shower.

Keep your home well ventilated.

Keep chloroquine, Azithromycin and zinc sulfate with you, once you are diagnosed with covid-19, and you start to see some symptoms like fever, dry cough, weakness, please start the dosage asap don't mind those saying don't do self medication, do it it's safer and better than rushing to the hospital where your case will be ill managed and worsened out of fear.

But my advice to all Nigerians now, build your immune system up by taking vitamin c and vitamin d everyday. Buy 500mg above, don't buy 100mg.

Stay calm, coronavirus won't be as fatal as it is in other western world in Nigeria.

Worry more about the aftermath of this whole global pandemic, I mean the economic impact, that should be your worry for now
are you talking about the vita min c tablets that are lickable ¿
