The concept of "production" is an outdated concept of economic output. The UK GDP Is nearly $3 trillion . 80 % of that is SERVICES RICH countries shift production to low cost centres to focus on more profitable activity Amazon is valued at $1 trillion GOOGLE at $ 800 billion Those two examples should do What do they produce ? The world has moved on MTN, Glo, Zenith produce nothing but are among our biggest companies. SW alone contributes over 60% of Nigeria's income, this is why no foreigners want to leave Yorubaland. It doesn't matter if we get money from expatriates, pluck it from trees or dig it from the ground, as long as it comes from our land, it's our money. If we didn't make our land attractive, no one would come there, after all SW is not the only region in Nigeria, wasn't the first capital and hasn't been the capital for decade yet it stands though could be better. Wealth attracts people and like the colonists called it "the richest and where the wealth is." kettykings:If you are as half as intelligent as claim, you realize the caption was "what does South West produce that compares with north" not what does south westerners produce in Nigeria compares to the Northerners. If you understand the concept of basic economics like GDP (gross domestic product) which is the total value of goods and services produced in place in year or within a period of time, you would understand that the writer of these article is saying nonsense. Granted ! Northerners produce a lot of Agricultural products but Agricultural products are not the only products necessary for economic growth and development.
