It's funny coz my dad doesn't visit our neighbours no more because the wife had a constant sneeze caused by being allergic to cats, so we are now in "total" isolation. 10km to eastside neighbour's house, 25km the southside and the last 2 neighbours are probably close to 60km or something. He is so scared he gets upset when analyst say the 55years and above is more vurenable, even more so with underlying conditions. See him walk outside angry, light up to smoke, cough from the smoke and then starts yelling grin grin at journalists and analysts as if they can hear him. Old man is scared but it's so funny.

You'll be good. Drink that tea with hot pepper buy med lemon

grin

Local man is worried. I know that feeling, one will just start feeling vulnerable especially now that if u tune Ur TV or radio the only news we hear us Corona

Pẹ̀lẹ́, it's sure not coro. I had similar symptoms early Last week. For like 3 days I was down with mild cough and a runny nose and slight headache. At that point I began cursing them at work for forcing us to come to work when Sanwoolu had declared partial lockdown b4 Bubu declared a total one grin

I couldn't go to the hospital beacuse I know people even get infected in the hospital so I carry myself to a pharmacy checked my blood pressure and sugarevel, bought cough syrup, antibiotics, anti-malaria drugs and lucozade..... After 2 days I was up and doing. And yes I peppered better pepper soup in between to flush the yamayama in my system.

You don't have coro Jàre, you probably have malaria or an infection.
Thanks. I think it's malaria cos mosquitoes have been harassing me since last month. The back and shoulder pains no be here. All my mind just day coronalized

If someone wants to go into the business of buying farm produce from Jos to other states, what produce would you advice they go for that is very cheap and non perishable?
Apart from Irish potatoes...
Onions, beets, broccoli, peppers. They are many but I don't really know them

About to cook okra.

Am I the only one that would rather not cook SOUP without stock fish or dry fish. I think they are more important than any artificial seasoning.

Pic 1: okro and the rest.
Pic 2: Lamb, first time trying it.
Pic 3: Blended yellow pepper and dried prawns. Gives very nice flavour to soup.

I have fresh prawns too, can I remove the head? Find it creepy? grin

Well, If u must know I have a fully paid health insurance which allows me to visit the hospital along with my spouse and 4 kids for the slightest headache, but I decided against going to the hospital because of the issues surrounding this whole COVID-19. One hospital close to my preferred hospital had a COVID-19 positive patient upper week and the doctors and nurses who attended to the patient had to be isolated after NCDC came around to carry the patient.

So u see, e get reason why I opted for self medication. By the way, it wasn't self medication per se because the pahramacy had a registered pharmacist on ground whom I explained how I was feeling to before I bought those drugs.

As far as I'm concerned ó, this is not the time to go in and out hospitals if it's not a serious case.

Corona o ni embrace wa o grin

D

I understand. I am also avoiding hospitals for the same reason.

However, a pharmacist is not a doctor. The whole a pharmacist diagnosed my ailment is a Nigerian type abuse of the system. A pharmacist is not qualified to recommend drugs. Pharmacists are supposed to MAKE drugs. What if you had thypoid and the pharmacist told you to take anti malarials?

With regards to the antibiotics, there is a culture in Nigeria Of over reliance on antibiotics and not finishing the recommended dosages . Almost every ailment, they will tell you take antibiotics. A lot of the time, I just don’t bother anymore.

The next big pandemic may be a strain of antibiotic resistant bacteria. And that is also already happening.

Just sayin’

Alright. I also don't preach self medication, in fact I detest it for the same reason of misdiagnosis u pointed out.

Na condition cause this one. Desperate times calls for desperate measures

I only know how to bake those strong European Bread.

My two method.

1.... After grating my coconut meat, I place it on a tray, sprinkle oil on it and bake using oven for few minutes before adding it to my dough.

2.... Heat up your pan, add little coconut oil and fry your coconut meat for some minutes before using.

I don't think your Bread gonna be soft without yeast... except you're using self rising flour and baking powder.

NOTE:
* I only use this method when baking my strong bread...Might be a different method from the ones's here in Africa.

@Akposy What do you think about the yeast?
