I hope governor Okowa will take a cue from buhari and unlock the 1 month lockdown.
It's not really a full lift as non essential businesses and religious centres will remain closed. In essence lock down continues, let's listen to what Okowa says tomorrow.

I think this old man called Buhari doesn't know what he is doing. He doesn't understand what people are going through. Just because he and his family are having their three square meal a day, he thinks others are doing the same. He is a confuse man. What is the need of lifting a lockdown ban on the fourth of may? Why not now?
Audio president

he will lift it on the 4th of may and FG will wash there hand off. and leave the state governor to decide if to continue the ban or not to.
the state governor will not lift the ban.

this is the same tactic that Donal Trump used in US

I pray this doesn't lead to bleeding in the country.......the world might open up to just one plan, the strongest to survive, whoever dies they bury, quite sad, just because of an error from one country.

I feel his decision this night was generally in the right direction:

The gradual easing of the lockdown but after 1 week extension in the 3 states of Lagos, Ogun and FCT(this extension is necessary);

The total lockdown of Kano and takeover by Federal authorities (which is extremely important at this time cos of the explosive nature of things going on in Kano and its potential to infecting other neighbouring states);

The ban of interstate travels;

The curfew at night.

Where he failed were exactly those areas that should be the direct responsibility of his Govt:

No talk of palliatives;

No talk on a strong economic plan/stimulus for the economy that is bleeding;

No strong push at massive and conprehensive testing across the nation.

May God help us and have mercy on us- mercy for allowing the kinda Govts that is ruling us at every level

Bro, read the full speech here because he mentioned the testing part in 12.

all this na format just to make some of us feel somehow excited that this lockdown is for just a week.

NCDC will. continue updating more cases and this will make the FG to extend the lockdown further after serving this 1-week lockdown.

inside life.

Why wait till Monday? Why not tomorrow? He wanted to extend it by a week so that it will not appear like the governors are deciding for him. But does it matter? He didn't address the fact that security agents on the highways are collecting bribes and aiding people who re violating the transborder lockdown. If he doesn't call them out nothing will change.

My thoughts exactly.. he doesn't want to feel weak but he'll still do what they want. He is a bloody fool
