I guess it was a special case. Then I had not done e dividend with them. They send via post office.when I got 2011 it had expired, then I got 2012 and none for 2013.When I visited thr office to validate and submit e dividend .Then I asked for 2013.I was told I was over paid for one of the pervious yrs. They demanded if I increased or reduced my holdings within those yrs.Which I said no.They checked thr records that I was right. Then we checked my payment for 2012 and based on my holdings and dividend declared I was over paid. They decided to deduct the extra from my 2013 dividend. The balance is what they have refused to pay me till date about 15k.They lack behavior in thr office in abj. I sent mail and they claim they have paid me.

I wan buy ohhj

Newbie question, what do you guys do when you're stock price falls dramatically?

Do you sell, buy more or simply wait.

Thank you for this.
The board have hinted in their follow-up publication that they expect to have a strong first quarter report, the subsequent quarters might not be great across board.

Newbie question, what do you guys do when you're stock price falls dramatically?

You have highlighted the 3 possible options.

The state of the company or share price is my guide.

If I'm at a good profit, I sell.
If the stocks have good fundamentals, I wait for a fair bottom to re-enter and increase my holdings.
And if I'm late to the party, cash strapped and believe it going to rebound, i wait.

P.S: this is not cast in stone.

Good afternoon guys. Am sorry I don't know the right forum to ask this;
I partially earn my income in foreign currency and am also partially based in naija.. I have been investing on NTB and MMF for 2 years +. But the inflation is killing the vibes. Am wondering if it's possible to invest in a foreign currency dominated investment or even US stocks..

I came across one Chaka investment app in ios, where you can buy US stocks and sell even though the platform is controlled by Nigeria stockbrokers. How authentic is this platform? Thanks

I have heard about chaka, but since you are in Abu Dhabi, you can try using interactive broker or ameritrade, they are US stock trading company. I don't think they charge per trade anymore but all Nigeria based US stock trading firm charge in percentage of the trade made. Note, this firm doesn't accept Nigeria but since you reside in Abu Dhabi, and you work there, they will accept your request

Why did Jesus turn wáter into wine,if we shouldnt be drinking alcohol tongue

Jesus did not create only good things, He also created many bad things. How could we have know good things if there were no bad ones?

Why did Lord Jesus create hellfire

My dear He is God and above us.

Obey Him, and leave alcohol for those that would go to hellfire, to drink

Uchetoba:
You need to look at verses 6 and 7 because they go together.

Proverbs 31 : 6-7(KJV)
Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.

Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.

Comment: Now that is the only scripture that support the excess drinking on one condition (to stop them from harming themselves).

Look at this too.

Colossians 2:16-17
Let no man therefore Judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of sabbath days:

Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

You may also have to read Romans chapter 14 for more undestanding.

Comment: Christians should learn to take the new testament more seriousely than the old testament, because the new testament is the actual bible that is given to us (the christians) and not the old testament.

This is also new testament

Ephesians 5:18 New International Version
Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,

THIS PLACE IS ENCOURAGING US TO BE FILLED WITH HOLYSPIRIT, ... NOT THOSE SPIRITS IN BOTTLES AND CANS.

Besides, the place you quoted above just said food and drink, ... kunu, zobo, fruit juice, malt, fanta, etc. are also drinks.

JUST IMAGINE HOW YOU WOULD FEEL IF A PREACHER APPROACHS YOU, WITH THE SMELL OF ALCOHOL ...

Try and read about 70-100 pages back, you should get your answer there.

I took "fall dramatically" to mean losing much amount on the stock thru price fall.
Well, in my little understanding, you somehow answered yourself. Depending on:
* The particular stock in question, FA/TA sound or not.
* The type of investor you are - short, medium or long.
* The past few quarterly result released by the coy - how good or bad.
* In all, there's something called stop loss - it's good to always apply it.....especially if you're not a long termer.
* As short/medium term investor, you may either sell using the stop-loss percentage you must have set; you may average it down or simply wait for it to erase the loss, again this depends on how fundamentally sound the stock is.

Great! This takes care of the argument on the purchasing on the last date of qualification.
When you buy on final qualification date you get dividend. That's how it should be.

I will rather buy more.

I'll give you an example.

I made a big error purchasing wema at .98, .90, 1.00 before elections were postponed.

After that the mkt crashed.

I bought more around 0.77 and 0.70 bringing down my cost to 0.85

Thanks to covid, I bought more at 0.50 bring down my totally cost to 0.65

Now they will pay 0.04kobo as dividends, that will bring down my total cost to 0.62

Which is a very feasible price for profit post covid19 era.

It's good to average Down as long as the company will not fail to exist anymore.

Meanwhile when averaging, the amount you spend on the new lower price has to be the same or more than the initial amount used to purchase the higher prices
