I have mido too. I tried it 2 days ago. It's still the first port build so it's a bit buggy. Overtime, the developers will fix it. Am back on Colt OS, Android Q. It's very stable.

since it is a new phone, just format/factory reset it. But if problem persist click send mi report. if problem still persist, change rom

1. It might be network related.
2. Dial *#*#4636#*#*, note that if you select LTE only, you won't be able to make calls
3. Try check out the permissions, hope it not restricted
4. Go to the main thread, this thread is meant only for tweaking.

Update your dialer app or clear cache of your dialer app.

Go to settings/apps/system apps. Look for phone app and clear cache/storage

Lmao, they don't anymore. Why did you think I posted this?

Using flash and lock on mi flash tool destroy your phone system.

And I know you can still unlock immediately.

Let me give you a scenario:

One funny thing happened.

I flashed fastboot ROM on my phone and select flash all and lock.

It flashed successfully but when my phone rebooted, it showed system destroyed. So my guess was that it's because I locked bootloader.

When I rebooted to fastboot and unlock BL, It wiped data and booted successfully.

Now, my phone is a global version, it came with global ROM and I flashed global ROM which means I can lock BL easily. But I'm surprised it didn't allow me. If I lock BL, it'll reboot and show system destroyed.

Now, we know Xiaomi is cunning with so many things and this is a phone that I used to flash and lock before now with no issue. Even with the latest fastboot rom.

Try it on yours and see

Still be careful. I was lucky to restore mine because I was able to boot to fastboot and unlock BL, you might not.

That scenario have been confirmed in my device group on telegram. About 5 people experienced same as me.
