Good day ,

Please house, has anyone recently paid tuition fee for September intake since Nigeria Govt eased the lockdown in Lagos?

I got conditional offer @ RGU since March

Am thinking deeply, bcus i don't want to pay the 34% of tuition fee (2.3m). Nd due to this pandemic.. they'll now be asking me to attend class online from Nigeria.
Someone should please advise me.. should i go ahead nd pay my tuition fee or i should still wait? My program meant to start September 7th but i got an email stated that it has been shifted to 28th of September.

I also got admission @ University of Regina Canada for Postgraduate. I want to consider UK to Canada bcus getting Visa to UK less stress thank of Canada.

The earlier the better .. pls advise me.

Was going to ask the same question. Someone can't spend that much then they tell you to attend classes online. Doesn't make sense. Please who has paid tuition for September?

Good morning my People. I have been following since day 1 and I wanted to be certain of things before I ask. I have been admitted to study "Biomedical Science" in "Chester University" and "Sheffield Hallam University". I am really tempted to go for Chester as they also offer top up courses to enable me write IBMS and get licensed. Now my questions.

1) Is That University a good one?

2) How is Chester in terms of student Job and life generally?

3) I have been asked to make a deposit of 3kp but I intend to make 6kp out of the total 9450p, How does this move help me?

4) Do I need a car, or should I just forget about it?

5) Can I do small buying and send down to Nigeria for sale?

6) Since it's my first time traveling, will I have issues with a virgin passport?

7) How Marketable is this course in UK?.

Please I have some other questions as I intend to start paying school fees this week, but kindly put me through on this ones first. Thanks all the gurus in the house. I am expecting your responses.

Cc Justwise, etc.

Best Regards

Wow, same here. I have admissions from Sheffield Hallam University (Msc. Biomedical Laboratory Science) and University of Chester (Msc. Biomedical Science). I have made up my mind to go for University of Chester because it's cheaper, IBMS accredited, and from the course description one can choose speciality. I suggest you hold on on any deposits for now until month end or beginning of June, but if e dy you hot hot I'll advice you just make the 3k deposit for now. By Gods Grace, all things being equal we'll meet at in class. grin

Good day house. I have been following this page for a while now and I will need your input before making this decision. I recently became a member of ACCA ( Association of Chartered certified Accountant) and have been admitted to study "Master of Business Administration" in "Anglia Ruskin University" for September but im thinking of applying for MSC Accounting & Finance in other Universities. My questions.

1) Is the University a good school?

2) What are my chances of getting a Tier 2 sponsor if i combine my ACCA certificate( Since its a UK Certificate & recognised all over the world) & a Master of Business Administration certificate ?

3) Should i just stick with Master of Business Administration or look for admission for MSC Accounting & Finance.( my reason is that if i seek admission for MSC Accounting & Finance, i will be repeating most of the modules i already took while studying for my ACCA exams)?

4) what is the cost of living in Cambridge and how is the city generally?

Please i've been asks to deposit 4k pounds in order to secure the admission & i need some advice before making my decision. Thanks in anticipation for your responses.

Some schools promised to give a refund that's if you deferr to January /September 2021. But you have to read the school tuition policies and discount.

Its better to wait till June by then the UK education sector will have more detailed information on online classes and face to face classes

1. Anglia Ruskin is good. I completed my undergraduate studies there some years ago and it was good at the time. You can also compare the MBA offerings against schools in the same area i.e. Uni Greenwich and Uni Kent. Kent offers a 10% off on fees and its modules and in terms of course offerings, Kent, Greenwich and ARU are similar with only slight differences in modules.
In terms of cost, Kent is more expensive @ 21,400 since Greenwich is 16,000 and ARU at 16,200 but with the Uni Kent's 50% scholarship (if you get it) and its 10% discount on early deposit payment, UniKent tuition would stand at 8,000 (inclusive of initial deposit). ARU used to offer about 10% off tuition but not sure if they still do so. Kent tuition is inclusive of a 5-day study trip to an EU country.
2. Combining your ACCA and MBA doesn't necessarily mean that you would get a job with tier 2 sponsorship but it gives you an edge as long as you start your job search early. Try to brush up on your other skills that could get you a foot in the door (i.e. If you got a PM job, can you demonstrate a good grasp and experience of PM in addition to your business management and accounting experience? What are your excel skills like? Note that this is just an example and not a given). Make sure you start your job search early after identifying T2 sponsors and don't shy away from business gatherings. Also get volunteer experience in which you may use your and develop your skills shouldn't be overlooked to. It's not a given that you'd get a job but if you plan for it, it's possible.
3. What would you like to do after your degree? Do you just want to do a Masters as a stamp on your knowledge or as a way of entering the market?
4. On-campus costs are similar to that of Kent and most unis and but I'm sure that if you will be renting private, you'd come up with various options that would suit your pocket. Food and electric costs are similar to elsewhere in the UK. Cambridge is fun depending on your idea of fun.

Choi, I can imagine l. I can't do online classes at all abeg. Not even in this place where network isn't stable. There's so much uncertainty everywhere.

This pandemic is really ruining things. Please do you know how I can change my naira to pounds pending when I'm ready to pay for the tuition.

I don't know how much the naira would have deprecated by then.

Good day , I have learnt a lot from all the contributions on this thread.
Please I’m interested in studying MBA in Uk but it seems IELTS is required by all schools . I currently have IELTS general and don’t want to re-write IELTS academics .
Kindly assist suggest schools that don’t require IELTS.
I will really appreciate suggestions .
Thank you

Not all schools require IETLS, some accept WAEC that’s not over 5 years. You can also get a letter from your uni to confirm that your undergraduate was taught in English.

Another alternative which I just discovered is English Language Assessment by UK NARIC. You have to send them your degree certificates and transcript. It’s worth checking

No one here can really say if courses will shift to online in September. However, at the moment, UK universities are still planning on continuing classes normally for September 2020 intake.

Lockdown is progressively being relaxed in some states of the UK. I think by end May the government will be clearer on what to expect post lockdown. If your admission can wait till end May then I suggest you do so

3 weeks precisely. I was worried like you when I sent my application and did not get a reply from them after 2 weeks. I sent them an email asking them for updates on my application, they actually replied me and said because they are working from home it now takes 2-3weeks. I got my offer last week Thursday. It was within the 3 weeks time frame they gave me.

You can email them if you're too worried.

I’d suggest you email the Uni and ask them to extend the deadline for the deposit payment. You can’t apply for a visa until mid to late June anyway (for Sept start) so focus on your 28 day proof of funds for now and leave the payment matter until the end of May/June.

I’m helping my cousin with his and that’s what we‘re doing. Things should be clearer in a few weeks.

It is impossible to say what the Naira is going to do in the coming weeks but it’s difficult to see it going back to 460-470 in a hurry.

Not sure if this has been asked before, but in light of this high exchange rate, what is the maximum amount you can use Form A to pay your fees with? Since it uses the official CBN rate and not black market rate, is that a suitable alternative for people to look towards? Just a thought..

Good evening house

I came across this phrase "subject to validation" on the course page for Adult Nursing, University of Chester.

Does it mean that the course has NOT been fully accredited by NMC?

I've written to the school for clarifications but no feedback yet.

Any idea on what this means before someone enters one chance of studying unaccredited course..

that's already better than the 530 in the black market.
however the uncertainty of the UK environment makes one hesitate to commit now financially.. I guess we can wait till July before taking the next step.

Newly designed and significantly updated programs have to undergo series of approvals and discussions with all stakeholders. Subject to approval usually means that the program is in the final stages of approval and that the school is doing all that it can to ensure (but not guaranteeing) that the course is ready to run at the next intake
