grin see question, I don't know how u want to cope except to just stay away from their school.without our money we pay for our children school fees, the proprietor will still be broke as well, the only thing they could do is to offer their staff some palliatives, this is why it is called private schools... Those of the state and federal level recieve thier money cos it is their employer that told them to stay at home.... But for the private school, they had to obey the law and shutdown their business center.. D grin grin

They have not paid us and we don't even have hope because they are not saying anything about it. The little one we have been receiving before lockdown is already a story. For me the whole thing is really affecting me both physically and psychologically. cry cry cry cry cry

I don't know if those of you teaching in private schools, like my humble self are facing the same difficulties like me too.

Are you getting paid by your employers during this lock down?

Our case is different here, ever since the lock down began we have not been paid even a dime or reached by our employer to know how we are coping during this tough period.

Those of us that understand better how things work, is it proper that way? What are your thoughts on this? Share your experiences too-those of us in private sectors.

The last time I got paid was in March and it's not even full salary

I could remember when I was still teaching in one of the private secondary school in the East, our proprietor would preach to us how we need to seek first the kingdom of God and every other thing will be added unto us, that money is the root of all evil, bla bla bla, dude had to owe us 3 months non payment of salary, hw much sef, just 10k then, I got admission and bade them farewell, I heard the school went bankrupt and folded up immediately we left.

Very difficult times for private school teachers. Even home lessons have become impracticable as parents would not want to expose their kids.

I think private school teachers need to form an organized union; drive the call for better pay, better compensation and reward, etc.

There is no way they will pay if students or pupils aren't paying them. No input means no output on employer's part. Simple logic.

The situation is same for private school owners as it is for the teachers. I should know. My Dad owns a school, we ain't finding it funny, not to mention paying teachers.

This is so annoying. Is it a crime being Nigerian?? The government should consider those private school teachers and tell all civil servants to resume back to work. Students are even eager to resume back. I have someone that has not been paid since the outbreak of corona virus having 4 children at home. No money and no food to take care of them whereas, the politicians are there making money through the pandemic. Let everyone resume back to work and give precautions which nobody should break. #let us resume please cry

I don't think any private school is gon' pay during this period. Now that everybody is fighting for their head.

Everybody answer your surname, naim we dey oo

I know about three private schools that still pays till date here in Zaria, Kaduna State.

However, according to what you started, those that are not getting paid, na to dey answer their surname o. It's well.

They should have paid you people

I doubt if that would be possible. School fees payment from students is what most proprietors/proprietress use in paying their workers.
But even at that, i think they should at least be given some token.

Bless you Bro AstroG. May you never lack anything good in life.

If after this coronavirus, a normal human being didn't do everything to exit private school teaching, then the person is destined for suffering.

Private school owner should be classified as slave driver, with no mercy.

Even without coronavirus, they owe, with this, this is the perfect opportunity to become boss debtor.

Rubbish work

Almajiri are even going about their business and spreading the plague while govt restricts family breadwinner. It is a harsh contradiction.
