That is why I advised friends and people in general to join a profession that will pay you independently on daily basis, irrespective of economic circumstances. Learn how to trade forex and it will pay you for life. The good thing about it is that you will be learning and earning at the same time. Then after that will come the economic meltdown on a large scale

The FG will announce some stringent measure to reduce the spread of the so called deadly virus (lol)

All these are signs of the end times

Our case is different here, ever since the lock down began we have not been paid even a dime or reached by our employer to know how we are coping during this tough period.

Thank God for Freelancing, I for don hear am. Private school teachers are having a hard time adjusting to the current realities. Unfortunately, it will get worse even after resumption so if you are one, it is not too late to learn a skill or start a trade. Godspeed!!

They are not making money, so they can't pay... This moment must be really hard in private teachers.

I don't subscribe to that school of thought. In a formal employment, employers bear most (not all) of the risks.

If the students are not paying now, what about the huge amounts they paid previously out of which you gave out peanuts as salary?

Salary and compensations should be structured in a way that teachers can get paid even on holidays. Teaching job is not an informal employment.

You don't need to insult to pass your point across. You're advising that I sell or hawk pure water which is feasible but highly unlikely for me. But stop insinuating that I'm lazy because I'm a graduate and teach in a private school. You have no idea the stuff I've been through.

The idea of labelling what has been agreed as peanut after you are in the system is a very senseless one. Do you know how many school owners are struggling financially? if school business was that lucrative, they won't be struggling. Go to the bankers and their marketers to ask how school owners are performing in repayment of loans and you will hear stories.

I'm a teacher in a private school in Akwa ibom state and have received complete salary up till april. Just wondering if may salary will be paid in full. For the records, my school implemented the new minimum wage policy even before the state government

The situation is same for private school owners as it is for the teachers. I should know. My Dad owns a school, we ain't finding it funny, not to mention paying teachers.

Daily (28 days) = 1785 naira

Per Hour (8am - 4pm ) = 223 naira

Depending on the nature of the job, Ur 1 hour is only worth coke and gala
