My little advise for the government is to allow classes likeJS3 ss2 and ss3 to resume back and maintain social distances. Atleast,, the proprietors are going to get money and pay their workers through that. |

coputa:You don't need to insult to pass your point across. You're advising that I sell or hawk pure water which is feasible but highly unlikely for me. But stop insinuating that I'm lazy because I'm a graduate and teach in a private school. You have no idea the stuff I've been through. I still need assistance though and will key in to your advice. Thanks 11 Likes |

ajebuter: I am sure the school is about 20 years or more and the owners have built enough reserves, or the owners have other sources of income. No matter the size of the reserves built my a school, the reserves can usually last maximum of 4 months. Just pray that this lockdown does not last till September as some people have projected. 1 Like |

gurunlocker: Is it safe to allow a private tutor who moves from house to house come into your house and mingle with your children? Some families think it is unwise. That is how much this Covid-19 wahala has served to distance people from their means of livelihood. It's really a difficult time for everyone. . 1 Like |

olaolulazio: Exactly. Some students were sent home because of school fees a week before lockdown with the hope that parents will respond as we were are approaching exam week when all these brouhaha started. So many went away with the money. 1 Like |

Acidosis:You arent making much sense sir. Did employer force anyone to accept. peanut pay? Never. The idea of labelling what has been agreed as peanut after you are in the system is a very senseless one. Do you know how many school owners are struggling financially? if school business was that lucrative, they won't be struggling. Go to the bankers and their marketers to ask how school owners are performing in repayment of loans and you will hear stories. 6 Likes |

CodeTemplar: The reason you're saying this is because the Nigerian government is yet to shut down most of these schools. There are employment laws guiding every sector of the economy. How many of these schools enrol their staff on pension scheme? medical insurance? staff training? leave bonus? How many even comply with the minimum wage? Education is not an informal sector and you just can't run it like a mechanic shop. The kind of behaviour you're promoting among employers in the private sector is why many 3 Likes |

Gemineye:Shey all the money una gain from exploiting parents and your own teachers no reach to give small palliatives to your staff ni? Please let's call a spade what it is ; if, as a school owner, you cannot help your workers at this time with a little support, then you don't deserve them. You're nothing but just another slave driver and nothing more. Nigerian teachers have to liberate themselves from these shackles. Thanks to Coronavirus, now they know there's only a minute difference between themselves and that jobless guy or girl next door. A most unfortunate job 7 Likes |

coputa: Seconded. I am a private school teacher and I haven't seen ₦1 salary since February. Most of these teachers are very lazy indeed. They prefer to sit by the desk teaching the same trash they taught 3 years ago. Rewriting lesson notes and saying the same advice over again. I started thinking of extra source of income when I discovered what long vacations means to we teachers. I guess that was the warning all along. For me, I only miss my students. I even dey pity my boss sef. 3 Likes |
