People are going through a lot.

Like I said in a thread earlier:

You see people smiling and laughing like everything is good
with them, but you have no idea about the thoughts going
through their minds.

A white user on Twitter once posted a photograph of her and some friends having fun in s beach setting, there was a guy in particular that was so happy and all smiles...... The next day, he committed suicide.

She posted that picture and couldn't believe that the person who was all smiles just yesterday could go ahead and kill himself d next day.

Don't despair by looking at the world through the dark lens as there is always relief after hardship.

That's my message for anyone contemplating suicide.

"Those who love you" sometimes are the very ones that push people to suicide.
They take care of you, then expect you to return the favor too soon.
Dem no dey wait make first door lead to the second one before asking for small thing.

This is one disadvantage of white collar jobs. You go out everyday with well tailored suit and tie.
Everyone thinks money dey
They respect you and use you as a yardstick.

But your fear starts; when your debt profile is high and the fear of getting fired anytime

For persons who are clinically depressed, it takes everything, knowledge of the illness, true knowledge of God to not act upon the prodding of the sick mind.

When you are sick, you use your mind to reason to take steps to seek for medical support. But what if the mind itself is sick, what do you use to reason? No normal person tries to or even succeed in taking his or her life. In most cases DEPRESSION, I mean deep clinical depression is at the root. What came over him was exceedingly beyond him.
Those saying debts, debts, home trouble, blah, blah do not know what severe depression entails. And I do not blame them too. But it is a subject over which everyone should tread cautiously with their tongues. It is deep, very very deep cry

Who can fathom the power of a sick mind? Who?

Life is hard, as an atheist, I don't support him because this is the only life we have.

If anyone is tired of this life, then they can end it. I believe he tried staying alive but he was overwhelmed. it's not easy to be alive and it is not easy too to end one's life. To me, he is courageous.

Religion has made many people to be scared of taking their lives as they are scared of the afterlife

In the USA, The title of Professor is given to people that have a PhD and are teachers at any academic level. A person who is a Doctor is someone who has finished a terminal degree meaning they have completed the highest degree in their field of study above a bachelors.

From our little convo, you seem like a hurt person filled with hate, anger, arrogance and ignorance. As someone that is through with his master degree and currently rounding off a PhD, you can be called a professor, i lecture at the highest level (University), you can view my email in my profile given to me by the university I profess in.

Use nairaland to learn and stop insulting or hating. That's my candid advice to you, although I doubt you'll ever take it. I could give you a link to my numerous academic publications in remote sensing, geoinformatics and GNSS surveying but you won't understand it.

Please keep me informed. I have a BSc in Geology degree and i will be open to learn from you.

If you don't mind i will like to view any resource you ca. share. Cheers. and thanks for keeping the thread sane cause you could also say insultive words that we all suppose to know have adverse effect to sane reasoning.

Probably didn't meet his target or is in debt and can't afford that kinda lifestyle no more.

Being a banker is only fun and games when you stay low or when you get to the top of the pyramid.

Rest on

What is that thing that can make you commit suicide?

Can you state it let's see?

Some things that people go through in this life, the life of an average Nigerian is like a war. Some call it survival of the fittest, I don't know what is fitted in living in Nigeria. Those who are fitted have built their countries like China, USA and Europe. Even this young man couldn't resist the urge of calling it quits despite being a banker.

RIP

If this is the only life we have, then what difference does it make when he dies since he will be unconscious forever? Everybody should just commit suicide and go into extinction since this is the only life we have. Don't you think so?

So because you have only one pair of clothes you'd rather throw them away and walk around naked?

As some of u reason is quite stupid. If this is the only life we have will make everyone live carefully and enjoy the short time we have.

Having hope of another life somewhere else is the reason most people can and will want to kill themselves.

Because they believe in another life were they will not die.

The most scary thing is what would make a adult think of suicide. Which I have at a point understand... Hopelessness, you don't care anymore, everything around you feel false, you feel you have been lied to all your entire life, now you are the victim been betrayed.. Which is true in reality. But don't let your emotion do the thinking try and be logical. From there you see the world for what it is.
