I can't even count the numbers of Plaza in ibadan because of the size of ibadan.

I want to propose Nairaland Media tour between east and west, some Yorubas here to visit and tour eastern states and Igbos also to tour Western states during holidays.

Cc.

Pazienza, LegendHero, Ritchiee, Simplyleo, Covidodo, Nwanyiogwashi, Adadike, etc

Although at first glance it sounds like a brilliant proposal, but on close introspection it's not a good idea. The main reason being that of scale. It's very difficult comparing two entities with very different scales. It's like comparing a river and an ocean and asking which one has the bigger, smaller, finer or numerous fishes.

Let me explain further.
The total landmass of the 5 eastern states is approximately 30,000 square kms while the total landmass of the south west is approximately 80,000 square kms. The south west is more than 2 and a half times bigger than the south east. Obviously the south west will have more developed areas than the south east, at the same time it will have also more undeveloped areas and slums. There would more roads, bridges, schools, hospitals, stadiums, etc., simply because of size alone.
If we are talking about more modern structures, the south east capitals should have a lot (i still doubted the number would be more than that of south west), simply because most of the cities of the East were destroyed in the aftermath of the civil war and most structures had to be rebuild (the Nigerian state failed woefully to rebuild the infrastructure). Most of the houses were build after the civil war and thus more modern. In the south west you will find lots of colonial and even pre colonial structures still standing. Lots of its capital still have the colonial look and feel. It's like comparing an ancient city Rome to modern cities like Singapore or Dubai.

You would spend a whole week in ibadan and you won't be able to cover 70% of ibadan.

The truth is even I don't know more than 65% of ibadan because of its size.

Which case ?

Ibadan is bigger than Enugu state as it is

I am talking about Ibadan city and Entire Enugu state

In fact my argument has been largely based on Ibadan city and Enugu state due to my limited knowledge of other parts of Oyo state.

Ibadan is around 10,000km²

The whole of Enugu as a state is around 7,000km²

Oyo state is big, there are places around oke-ogun that you will spend 5-6 hours before getting.
like Ayegun when going to Opara river across the Border, they can not finish only OYO state talkless of going to Ogun state.
