Thanks. It's open. But I use the web application on my laptop. Do you mean the mobile Morgan app?

Simply double-click on the ticker of the stock you want to view or trade in and the bid/offer quantity and prices will be displayed at the bottom left of your screen. The bottom right displays all trades going on in the market as they are being executed. You will see them rolling by, slow or fast depending on how dull or active market participants are for the moment or day

And someone's VAP is saying it will get to 7,680 then lose 50% from there.

Breakout just started.

On NSE front, banks need to break out as well. This week earliest or next week latest.

June: The month of breakout.

Brent wants to breakout grin grin

We should expect 45 to 50 range in this June.

Meffy will be all smiles.

USD index will breakdown. Any need holding USD? grin

All risk assets will be bidded higher.

I hope 'strongly' that you're not referring to the latest version of OUR dearly beloved VAP. It appears the prediction has VAPorized.

Japaul that sold assets to pay debts nko? What assets will the business use in creating wealth going forward? Reason why the company will have to raise funds any time from now.

The rules say T+3days to qualify right? I was able to enter the bus today. I guess I would miss out on div. Better late than never.

If you are talking about WAPCO, you missed the dividend bus by a long time not just T+3.

The AGM and payment date is 3 June 2020 but the qualification date for dividend was 30 April 2020 and the register was closed for the purpose of compiling the names of qualified shareholders for dividend between 4 and 7 May.

The date that matters if you are targeting dividend is the qualification date which is usually a trading day before the price markdown date.

The stock has been marked down, and that's decisive.

STOP LOSS: I will like to know whether members use stop loss in their NSE trading/jijo accounts. What percent do you set stop loss for jijo purpose and how disciplined are you at taking loss at the preset % if the undesired happens . Locodemy in one of his posts says he uses 10% stop loss. I will appreciate contributions from Mcy, Loco, et all on their experience with stop loss on NSE.

@Mr Locodemy, thanks for your prompt reply to my above question. I am more keen to know the psychology of investors when the time to cut loss arises, that is, discipline to do the needful. In my case I found out that I often disregard my set stop loss when price falls to my previously set stop loss, in the hope that the price will soon pick up. Then I am interested to know whether NSE jijo traders use stop loss at all and at what percentage. Once again thanks Loco, have a great day.

SOME REASONS UACN & UPDC HAVE TO DO THE UNBUNDLING PROJECT.

1. To save the conglomerate (UACN) from being dragged any further into losses by UPDC.

2. To enable UPDC steer out of the loss making territory and back to profitability by reducing their debts to a serviceable level.

3. To creat more value for the investors of of UACN & UPDC so that the:
(a) Investors of UACN will now have direct investments in and be receiving dividend (whenever they are declared) directly from UACN, UPDC, & UPDC REIT.
(b) Investors of UPDC will now have direct investments in and be receiving dividend (whenever they are declared) directly from UPDC & UPDC REIT.

Invest an amount you can afford to forget in the market for a year or more, if the investment gives a very good returns in a week or less than a month, all well and good. Grab it with both hands.

This will save one from always reminding others on the need to consider your annointed stock, and avoid being labelled a monkey hunter.

Do your research, invest your fund, be patient, the bounty returns will come when you least expect it, rather than sounding like a broken record.

THERE IS HOPE FOR UPDC.
Yes I said there is hope for UPDC because wapco was in that territory of losses for some years before raising some mone through right issues, and also sold their loss making South African company and cleared most of their debts and brought it down to a very serviceable level. Now wapco is back to profitabilty. The principle being applied by UPDC in raising found through right issue and clearing their debts, is very similar to what wapco did to return to profitability. Therefore there is hope for UPDC.

The essence of steady cash flow in form of dividends, coupons, rents, profit from business, salary can't be overemphasized when investing in the stock market, while hoping for turnaround of the companies you have Invested in, praying for capital appreciation, the steady cash flow will give the investor peace of mind, pay his bills, keep him going while patiently hoping for the ten baggers yes people do get 1000% capital appreciation from the market over a period of time
