Well I use to believe if you spit on the floor without covering it with soil, and someone steps on it you will have sore throat.

Well I wasn't much of a believer of whatever I heard while growing up.

More like a pain in your throat lol...

Thats the irony of life.
A professor will be working for an illiterate.
Las las its not what you read in school that takes you far. You can’t compare the salary of a footballer and that of a professor.

So you mean the vice president is not a leader? It is footballers than are leaders?

When broom touches a girl either by sweeping accidentally or intentionally she will not marry, so the person who did that have to spit on the broom and hit it on the floor two times so it won't have effect on the girl.

When I see this white birds flying in the sky there's a song we sing in our language and we have white spots on our finger nails, we believe the birds are responsible for that.

So many things our parents told us and we believed them then it's not our fault

As a kid, i use to think that if i point at a grave somethin bad will happen to me. The remedy after pointing at a grave is to bite my ten fingers.

As a kid if i mistakenly killed a duck, i was told to put coins in its mouth else it will turn to a snake and bite me in the night

Well said.

Don't mind those guys.

That's why we remain stagnant as a race. It's always about power and money to us so that we can flaunt and oppress others so much so that we forget that nothing- I repeat nothing- trumps education.

Take that any time any day.

That's why sometimes I just don't like coming here cos you see some of the dumbest comments. All in a bid to garner likes or sound "smart".

I repeat, nothing beats education. It always sets you apart from the crowd when push comes to shove. I am witness to that. Countless number of times.
That tells on the society we live in where the eqality between the rich and poor are distance apart. Basically, people worship men with money. This is proverty mentality...

Back then in warri, we belived that if you see water bird flying across the sky, just wave your two hands like a flying bird and sing "leke leke bambu give me water finger" and immediately you will have a white sport in you finger.
