Who poured the refused in the gutters and on the Streets? Sanwo-Olu or Fashola? No, it is the irresponsible people that are doing the video. They pure refuse on their streets and call on government to come and pack it. Useless villagers.

Is that how white men dump refuse on the streets and in their drainages.

The whites has a very organized waste collection system

They don't because their gutters and drainages are sealed.
Humans worldwide need deterrents.

l[s]ol sanwo olu is just an opportunist governor. he hasn't do what Ambode did in his 4 years in government. sanwo olu is just a figure head governor[/s].

Under fashola's era, that drainage was cleared at least once in every 2 months. Your so called savior Ambode entered and abandoned the drainage which was not cleared for 4 years which led to the dirt getting that much. This drainage is part of other drainages which were not cleared by your so called saviour.

Sanwo entered and started clearing the drainages. If you observe that picture and video, you will see the heap of dirt at the left end. Those dirts were formerly inside that canal and recently cleared (work in progress) before it rained cat and dogs yesterday.

Ambode was a failure in sanitation and drainage control which aided excessive flooding during his tenure. The mess is what Sanwo is trying to clear.

See below picture to buttress my claim.

Recycling is the only solution to all these waste.

The government needs to create more plastic recycling plants round the country.

that place is mostly occupied by igbos. this people just come to mess everywhere up, they dont care because it is not their region. angry

Surulere used to be very neat up till the late 90s' until those people started swamping into the area in their millions.

They just throw their trash anywhere, gutter, roads etc. because it is not their region.
How I wish Lagos State govt. can set up a taskforce to review illegal structures in Surulere and demolish them all.

Why won't dirt litter everywhere when you have people migrating from places like Aba to Lagos in their millions..

I hope it won't be too late when Yorubas wake up to the disservice being done to Yorubaland. They collect allocations just like SW States but they can't stay back, think amd develop their region. Always running to congest, pollute and put excessive pressure on other pples homelands.
Na your papa get Lagos?

The typical Lagosian believe that if he dumps his rubbish outside his house or in the street then it's no more "his problem".

No now.
But it's not only Yoruba people that inhabits Lagos.
Lagos as the commercial centre of Africa accommodates anyone, Hausa, Igbo, Hutu, Tutsi, Zulu, Chinese, Indian, Lebanese, Americans, londoners, I even think Lagos would be better off if it's only Yorubas that stay there

Oga to be frank With you, your people are the greatest culprit. They don't want to pay for waste disposal and as such at night they pack all their refuse inside the drainage.

I'm speaking from what I'm seeing everyday in Surulere.

Some people are really stupid and they refuse to have sense, they know that plastic doesn't rot like orange yet they throw all manner of rubbish on the streets and in the gutters like they are in their villages.

We really have a long way to go in this country.

Nigeria produces enough waste to supply free electricity, power vehicles and so on...yet no one makes use of it.

The amount of cars that move on third mainland bridge everyday is enough to provide electricity to parts of Lagos Island or neighbouring places around it but the kinetic energy goes to waste.

All we do is waste. We steal, we embezzle, we beg nations, we import, we use and we waste it all in the end. Nigeria is a waste of one's life at this point. Nothing functions anymore
