In this modern age, only an illiterate will visit someone without prior notice.
One girl tried that rubbish with me back then in school days. I opened the door for her, just for her to see I'm not with anyone, then, I sent her home immediately. Told her to call me when she gets to her hostel.

Well, as much as I would like that u notify me when you are coming (just incase I'm riding something), I don't think the issue should cause any unnecessary fuse

I visit my friends unanounced, if i don't meet them home, i call... i don't feel dissapointed if i don't meet them home.
I have no problems if my babe decide to visit me unannounced and i too do visit her unannounced.
But when she does visit me unannounced, she hardly gets my attention.

If you visited your boyfriend/girlfriend unannounced, anything that you see just normalize it. Your mental health is very important.

Way too many. It’s very rude and shows a lack of respect or just education. Just make sure they know you like to be announced before they come and visit, like a rule. And even if they show out of a sudden ( some just do it intentionally ) you can just tell them straight that next time you would like them to announce before they come. Even if you are educated in this matter, some of them might be not…and won’t realize until you tell them. One of the things you can do is not answer the door. I know I know…you want too, you think it would be rude, but this might be a lesson for them to not come again unannounced. After a few times, they will learn.
