I've been silent on this thread and noticed how insolent you are. I'm not even referring to this incident where you purposely incited the guy who got abusive and got rightly banned. You deserve a strike too for always courting controversy and that's contrary to aspects of rule 2 of this forum.

I'm following a couple of nairaland threads and all are generally convivial with people sharing information and ideas, but this particular thread is not so and it usually revolves around your condescending approach towards people you don't even know. It's not the right approach to life! I'm just saying.

I quite agree with you

Few pages ago, I had to do myself a lot of control not to react as I concluded it wasn't worth it

The fact that everybody is behind their screens and its a faceless community is not a reason to talk to people anyhow.

One could easily decipher the maturity of the mind of individuals on the forum by thier way of response.

The most unfortunate thing is that, as helpful as this thread is, I know there are a lot of people observing this thread in the background and with relevant concerns they would like to air but they keep it to themselves after observing how ppl have been bashed on this thread.

At least, for what I know, in a class, you are encouraged to air your probing thoughts no matter how STUPID they are.

I am sure everyone here won't be here if not that they are on an important quest

You guys amaze sometimes.
What exactly did I do?
Dude posted something illegal and I clearly did not support his intentions. Other people also spoke against it. Unnecessary sympathy is the reason why crimes are taken for granted in this country.

Out of all the comments, dude picked me out and wished me death? I still did not throw banters but instead called on the moderator to caution him. Someone called the action childish but if I had done otherwise, it will still be an issue.

He deleted all his posts and deactivated the account, good and fine. Story ended.

Now you all are here catching unnecessary feelings and blaming me for his decision to leave Nairaland. Like what exactly did I do? Why are you all blindly encouraging such actions but wonder why our country is considered a “high risk country for visa applications”? How did I derail the thread? If I wanted to derail the thread, I would have started throwing jabs too.

Listen Aproko I know you personally have bad blood with me, so I honestly will not even reply you any further.

There’s no need to keep dragging on something that’s totally unnecessary.

Oh well...

I'm following 2 other UK threads, and this is the only toxic one, mostly coming from the Skymoore1004 lady. It's just too bad! This thread is fast becoming a very crucial one because of the prospects of the Tier 4 visa and guidance is required to put people through, but with all the bashing and outright rudeness... it's just so sad and could be a turn off.

Please let's be kind to one another.

Aston University just sent me email that they will resume as scheduled but first semester will be done online

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Aston University in September.

All our new students will start their studies as planned on 21 September 2020, through a blended learning approach that combines both online and on-campus teaching.

We want to assure you that our top priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of our students and staff and we are working hard to ensure your learning experience is of our usual high quality.

JOIN US AT THE START OF TERM
We want you to feel part of the Aston community through opportunities to spend time on campus and online with some of your fellow students and the academic staff who will be teaching you.

What does this mean?

Lectures will be delivered online for the first term until at least January 2021. These are interactive sessions where there will be opportunities for you to ask questions and engage with lecturers and other students.
As part of Aston’s commitment to a blended learning approach, you will also be invited to attend a number of on-campus small group learning sessions and activities as part of your course.
Academic staff are keen to support you with your learning, through regular office hours where you can ask specific questions, or via a Personal Tutor allocated to all students
You will also have access to a mix of online and on-campus student support and Library Services. We will provide more details about these in a future email, as we take account of the latest health advice.
Our intention is to gradually introduce more on-campus teaching and support as social distancing rules are relaxed/removed and it is safe to do so.

FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE NOT ABLE TO JOIN US AT THE START OF TERM
If you are not able to travel to Birmingham, or even to the UK, or need to stay at home for health reasons; we will provide online study options to help you continue with your course of study until you are able to join us.

You will have access to learning materials and be able to fully engage with tutors and other academic staff on an individual basis. You will also have access to our library, Learning Development Centre (which offers study skills support), as well as student and academic support facilities. As soon as you are able to join us we will work with you to arrange this.

HEAR HOW OUR CURRENT STUDENTS HAVE ADAPTED TO ONLINE LEARNING
The blended learning approach to teaching isn’t new to us at Aston, which means we’ve been able to quickly roll out a comprehensive online teaching and learning package to keep our current students on track and to make sure we’re ready for our new students to join us in September.

That is the million pound question.. it's still unclear and time for CAS is almost at hand if schools are to open in September normally...fingers crossed

Hopefully, by end July, things will be clearer..in my opinion..for those whose programs can be deferred to January start, have that option B in mind, so that you can utilise it, otherwise you might have to defer to next year September...

No way it will be in Nigeria. We have to register at the university remember and documents need to be seen and verified physically. Visa will be issued this year. The online learning is from your hostel, not country

Tell me that you did not read where the guild line stated that the money has to be available to the student even in the UK? We have argued this before here and i even dropped the link here but each time somebody comes here to ask question related to using the money after the visa is out you will be quick to support it.

We can not encourage fraudulent act and still complain when the rule is changed because of our disregard for mmigration rules

Your best start will be a random or specific google search on the field, then course start date. You may then wish to select your top 3 university based on other factors and then request opinions from the thread
But try and filter through search engines first
