How is this nomination of a thing done please?
Thanks

Information is available on opening page. EHO is nominated by NT under 491. That is suspended at the moment. Tasmania also sponsors it.

At belong, I just read that SA has stopped payment of first home owner grant. WA and Nsw pays up to 15k aud. Can you shed more light on this as it might affect the decision of chosing province to settle.

That information is not correct. SA still provides $15k grant to first home owner.

WA's grant is $10k for first home owner but between June 4 - December 31, 2020, it will be $30k to stimulate construction.

So I got news that processing time changed to 5months for TRA processing. Ppl that submitted Dec got their outcome 5months later.

While checking immitracker , I saw someone that got nomination as a chef with no experience. Though DHA is still processing the application a few has contacted him twice, no grant yet but still processing.

I can provide tax clearance and other supporting documents for the work experience but will the years of experience prior internship be accepted by AIMS since my statement of result was issued Nov last year.

While you are doing this, I would suggest you look out for employers that are willing to sponsor under the TSS 482 visa. I have actually seen one or two of such opportunities for hair stylist and I think it won't be a bad idea if you give it a trial. All you need do is to package an eye catchy resume with a powerful cover letter to the employer. I also think some pictures of the work you have done, like the one on your profile would go a long way to convince someone who is willing to sponsor work visa for you.

Try doing a Google Search for TSS 482 visa sponsorship jobs in your area of expertise and if possible, search for hair stylist shops in Australia, and see if you can connect with the owners of such business.

Sorry for the lengthy post. Hope it was resourceful. All the very best.

I got acknowledgement mail not more than 3 days after I applied and they stated the processing time is 120 days which will end on 29th of month . It seems all these ppl that applied in Dec are just getting theirs now. Did they call your employer? They have not called my employer till now.

Nsw 491 to open on Monday! It will close on 23 and result will be out by 30th
Hurry if your occupation is still available.

Thanks for this info. But Stream 1 is for those living and working in NSW while Stream 2 is for those who recently completed study or applying offshore. Unfortunately, there is no occupation list on stream 2 when I checked.

Yes, you can only claim 5 points for competent English.
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Experience4u(m): 3:16pm On Jun 12, 2020
Your years of experience prior to internship will be considered

You will have to aim for 20 points in English to boost your points as you have minimal years of experience.

Please house thanks for the good work here.
I have read most of the chat and my case is a little bit different.
I studied civil engineering, I have ND & HND from Ibadan Polytechnic (2000), and an MSC from UK (2013).
I will be 43 this October, I want to go for 491 so as to get the 15points which with superior English will give me 90.

First question, I want to assess as a Civil engineering draftperson, a tier 2 qualification, do I need to hide my MSC for VETASSESS. My job description is similar to this and I have 18 years post HND. Although I can't lay my hand on the old employment letter and payslip

Secondly I will be over 45 in 3 years time and can not make any PR by Then, but fortunately, my wife is 35 and studied Computer science. My question is can she switch to be the primary candidate after our 491 considering the fact now that she does not have much experience now.
Plan is for her to go for study there and also work and then go for 189/ 190 with here after she could have muster like 4 years experience onshore.

Thirdly, Civil engineering draughtsperson is assessed by either VETASSESS or EA, which is advisable I use.
Thanks

1. If you are want to claim more experience points, then you will not need to add your Msc cos Vetassess will start counting from 2013. This will also mean your education point will be 10 instead of 15
Only experience in that last 10 years will be assessed.

2. If you get in with 491, age does not come to play when applying for 191 PR. You or your spouse can either be the primary applicant.
3. Vetassess
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by derommyvent: 3:17pm On Jun 14, 2020
Thanks for the reply, but someone told me that certificates used for assessment does not necessarily has to be the ones to use for EOI, that i can add my Masters then and still get the whole 15points.
and i have checked australia immigration website and cant find subclass 191. please where can i get this to check the conditions

From your terms, I can see you also came from Canada thread so let me use it to relate to you;

189 is like the straight ita on Canada thread, when you get your grant ( PPr in Canada) you can reside anywhere in Australia, but unlike Canada not all jobs groups ( SOL in Aussie, NOc in canny) can apply for this 189. Your Job must be listed on MLTSOL ( meaning jobs that Australia will be needing for a long time) . If your occupation is listed on STSol or ROL ( short term sol or region sol) you can only apply for 190 or 491. 190 is like provincial nomination in Canada while 491 is like Atlantic migration just that you will not be needing a job offer before application like in Canada. 189 is very competitive even for the MTSol occupation, so if your point is not high enough90 and above, it is advised you apply for 190 or 491.

Like Canada provincial nomination, Australia states have their minimum requirements and occupations in demand. You have to visit the states website to know if your occupation is in demand there, if yes, you also know the requirements and method of application. Also note that Aussie is point based similar to Canada.
Saskatchewan province in Canadahas a special grid/ ranking , so does ACT have Canberra matrix.

The first step to apply is to get your skill assessment. For Canada, you write your ielts and do your ECA, but Australia own is more advanced than just ECA. Each occupation group has its own accessing body. You have to check the assessing body for your occupation, go to their website and check their requirements. Some require English competency like ielts, or pte academic ( eg EA and the body for teachers) while some do not. Others like TRA require minimum of 3 years experience in the occupation you want to assess. These assessment body in addition to assessing your experience, also assess you qualifications and relevance to the job occupation . For some of these bodies, they deduct 2 to 6 years from your work experience if your qualification is not relevant to the job function, ( eg ACS and Vetasses) while some others it is outright negative outcome ( eg TRA). This is the first major hurdle in processing Australia skilled migration visa.

If you get a possitive assessment, you have to enter the skill select pool by creating account there. In skill select, you can create many profiles unlike in Canada Express entry pool. In Canada, lots of ppl select interested in any province for nomination, but in Australia, you create separate expression of interest ( eoi) for each of the provinces that nominate your occupation. If you receive invite, you apply by submitting your documents. After that comes the nomination. With the nomination, you apply to DHA which is equivalent to CIC in Canada.
After some months ranging from 7 months to over 1year after application ( for 190 or 189) visa, the grant comes ( PPr in Canny) grin grin grin. In that grant, you will see your initial entry date ( IED), try to enter Aussie b4 this date.

Now, Aussie application is expensive compared to Canada. You should budget like 2 to 3m for processing/ application fees if you have a family of 3 from skill assessment to grant.

After you get grant, budget from 800k to 1.3m for flight for 1 person.

When you reach your destination, accommodation is another thing. Rent is calculated weekly. Don't fret, it is similar to Canny. Regional areas are cheaper.

When you scale all these, the sky is your starting point as Australia has almost the highest minimum wage in the world.

To answer the last question, they say 491 is the new gold as the competition for 190 is stiff and provinces prefer to give 190 to ppl already working and residing in their state, that does not mean you cannot go ahead and apply for 190 if your points are high enough.

With these few points of mine, I hope I have been able to convince and not confuse you that......
grin grin grin

May God bless you for taking your time to shed more light on this.

I love you walahi grin

Hello House,

I've spent hours reading and also gone through the ACS page. I want to do my skills assessment with ICT Security Specialist 262112, I'm a bit confused however on their payment evidence; Can I just send evidence for the first and last month of each year or am I supposed to send proof for all the months? The narrations on my salary payments did not include my employer's name.

Also, my total work experience is 4 years, 9 months. Can I claim 5 years or should I wait till I clock 5 calendar years??
