Now, even if by what you have seen so far you decide that you don’t want to do email copywriting… and you are struggling with your finances, take this simple advise: LEARN A SKILL.

Commit to learning as much as you can about that skill.

When you are done, you will have no problem with hooking clients.

They are on Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancer.com, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram… and even in your church!

They are literally everywhere.

These clients are NOT running away.

So concentrate more on becoming freakin’ good at whatever digital skill you choose to learn.

Do you know the best part about learning digital skills?

You could build a thriving business with it down the line.

Maybe create an agency with a full staff that service other businesses with your skill.

You could decide to pour the money you make from selling your skills to other online businesses.

And that’s how you start to earn more, rest more, and enjoy more FREEDOM.

Also remember, you are not doing this for yourself alone, but also for your family.

So kindly take this seriously.

This is where I have issues, an Engineer who is boasting of being a copy writer. Have you done any course/training to boast of delivering good sales copies?

Search for what you can do with your experience as an Engineer and sell that.

When I started, I told Venzal, see, I'm not going to write cos it's not my way, and he asked what experience I have, he even personally and without a cost sent me some videos to help me in my niche. I know a nairalander who is a surveyor making it big- I remember he said he thought of how to put his course of study to use when he wanted to start freelancing. Please consider your training/course and think of how to sell it.

One day, when I was in 7th grade, I was walking home from school and noticed an ambulance at the end of my cul de sac.

My pace hurried to a sprint as I raced home, terrified of the news I would find waiting for me when I got there.

The first thought that crossed my mind was:

“Oh no… it’s for mom.”

Thou shalt observe and run them through the “product profitability test” to see if it is really something you should pursue or not.

If you obey this rule, thou shalt avoid heartache and thy pocket shall dance with so much profit”.

Beloved, when I was a virgin in the eCom game I didn’t know this rule…

And so in my ignorance, I flouted it.

That was in 2014…

I saw people selling Android tab not knowing that it was no longer selling, I blindly ordered for 3 pieces and a couple of watches.

Behold, when the goods landed, I couldn’t sell them.

I managed to flog off one of the tabs to the banker sister of my friend for less than the amount I intended…

Of the remaining two, I sold one to my neighbor on credit and up to this day, he didn’t pay that money.

The last one, I converted into personal use.

At the end of the day, my 23K just went up in smokes.

I am bringing this rule to your notice, [[firstname]], because I don’t want you to make the same silly mistake…

Run a product through the “product profitability test” first before deciding to ship it to Nigeria.

This way you will record more success than failures and your pockets will dance with fat profits.

I hope you heed this simple but crucial advice.

One of them was sold by a guy from Sapele… and he called his own “Mini Importation Bible”.

Now that I think of it, I am NOT sure that the “bible” of his had this very important rule inside.

Thank God Mr. Jonathan is now opening our eyes to it.

Drop whatever you are doing now and learn how to bulwark yourself against importing products that people won't buy.
