Such things distort my VAP computation. I can't say anything about the stock except and unless I get those values.

My ac was actually opened with the then Intercontinental bank b4 it merged with Access and then the corporate pilfering started and I abandoned the ac. Hence, I stopoed funding my diamond ac immediately after the merger with Access, knowing what to expect. Though painful "cos I opened the diamond ac since 1992.
I have noticed a trend that they do this things when they are about to prepare their coy financial result and also when perparing to pay dividend.

And funny enough, I do make money trading their shares o,

Loooooool

Hope your buying Access Bank Shares now with H.Wigwe

When you start seeing bad news from a bank, get ready for a massive reward.

Just target the volume behaviour and take maximum advantage of uninformed behaviour.

We are brutal capitalists, we love swings on bad news.

We help the uninformed public inteprete it with a haircut.... grin

As an investor, I am worried because the said payment will now be factored in as a cost of sales or funded from the reserve

Definitely.....

Why did Access Bank not comply with the directives like other banks by deducting the stamp duty small small without their customers complaining.

Let's see how many millions they will discount from their Q2 result from this avoidable mistake

Oga how far with our Zenith bonanza at N11.90k, should we expect it in July? What are the charts saying?

I do my best possible not to attempt a "time projection"

Just wait and see which one it would first touch - @rabbidoracle said N25 and I said N11.90

The prodigal black sheep will soon return.

Until you stone the mad man, you won't know his father is your mayor.

On eagle's wings will his powerful father descend with protection.

In a jiffy, the timid enemies will evaporate.

Like Naaman, healing is nigh!

Like bitter leaf, like the world's book of records.

Tasted in bitterness, curing in reward.

A spark of light: "If we say, ‘We’ll go into the city’—the famine is there, and we will die. And if we stay here, we will die. So let’s go over to the camp of the Arameans and surrender. If they spare us, we live; if they kill us, then we die.”

Grains, water, hops and yeast are queuing for roasted malt, dark cherries in the realm of deep Ruby red ... grin

Vision earlier casted in cardinal stones with limits and built on the rocks, that the gates of hell may not prevail over it.

Most are not seeing the bolded above. They are rather looking at the daily intricacies. Let me try and explain.

This pandemic has started as far back as December. It came into the African continent in March. Between February and March, most European and the Americans had started closing up which lead to reduced demand for oil.

That was why we felt the impact in the month of March (Our economy relies mainly on oil revenue). For us, it was more of an oil pandemic than the health pandemic itself.

Have we checked the ratio of death to recoveries? The total number of global death is not up to 500k yet since December oo. while the total number of recoveries if am correct has exceeded 5M.(it's not like the Spanish flu that claimed 100M lives within the same time frame). Also, the total number of mild infected cases has exceeded 4M while the total number of critical cases is less than 60k. You can check it out here

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

The second wave the media is hyping about is the rate of infection not the rate of death. And with several Biotechs producing vaccines soonest, it can only get better.

Just like Rabbi has been saying, the coming bull will be both oil driven as demand increases and liquidity driven (there is too much global liquidity right now, just too much). So when it comes, ride it out and cash out just like what happened in January.

Brent is finding it's support @40. July and August can only get better as more restrictions will be eased.

With all the advancement in medical sciences and research, today's 500k deaths is indeed more than the 10 million lives lost to the Spanish flu!

Don’t know what to do

Bought dangote cement at 143 for 3257shares thinking I got a good deal After estimating from its eps that the market shares will grow after dangote buys back its shares.. but I’m left in a limbo now

I don’t want to panic sell but I’m scared that dangote might crash further

Don't panic sell. Just hold. When it starts to rise, it does nothing but 10 10%.

It’s likely going below 128.
I’m not blessed with your kind of patience.
I bought at 118 and sold at 141 after collecting dividends. When it starts rallying again, we’ll join you in the bus.

Meanwhile, for those in Access, don’t go and panick-sell your prized asset o!
Remember what transpired when they laid off staff earlier in the year, the stock just lost for two days and rallied back immediately.

Finally, those who missed the 10-15% offered by ETI last week can look the way of PZ this week (Due diligence advised) .
Bull or Bear, there is money to be made in NSE.

May the new trading week bring us good fortune.

Why didn't you buy when it was at 117?

You should have a reason for buying stocks. If it is just capital appreciation, you will always lose out and panic sell. Most people buy because of dividends. However prices may go far higher than the dividend holders had imagined and they sell off and buy back when the DY is justifiable.

Your thought that people are manipulating the stock downwards is because your intent for holding the stock is just for capital appreciation. So once stock market starts to fall, you will think it is being manipulated. grin grin

From my assessment, Dangote cement is already in a bullish phase. Just hold your stock.

Funny enough, I'm a staunch believer in this stock and I, personally, doubt it will significantly fall farther than it has fallen already...

I think it's a bargain as things stand...
Most oil exploration and production companies around the world lost between 50 - 60% of their value due to corona and the lockdown...

Seplat UK listing also lost over 50% value as well... So far, seplat Nigeria has lost approximately 40% of its value... Will we see a further 10% loss to match its global compatriots

Time will tell...

Where should we pump this money to? They will overlook the largest economy in Africa
Really!!!!

Do diligently list out for us the CHEAP EQUITIES, so that some of us van consider buying

I bought Dangcem for long-term as long as good dividends keep coming.

I am already buying back my own shares before the core Investors start buying back

Take a non interest loan from a friend equivalent of the value you will realise by selling .

Promise yourself to sell this stock by March next year and whatever you realise, you will peacefully hand over to your friend.

If your friend that gave you the loan is a lady, the problems in your life will commence in March after you fulfil your vow.... grin

If I may add 1 or 2 things to the earlier contributors, technically DANGCEM is closer to a long-term than when you bought it. There is no need selling it now. However, a break below 110 will be more dangerous, in that case the stock price might re-visit below 100.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Bomboclad: 8:59am On Jun 29, 2020
There is a formula for trading DangCem and at the time you bought it wasn't a good time ....obviously. Having said that, the least DangCem can go after this time is N122, which is just N6 below current price. You should hold if you aren't pressed for cash. I estimate that any major rise in DangCem would happen in 2-4 weeks from now, not soon, so its up to you.

My advice is, next time you wann invest cash less than 1M, choose the swift & more volatile lightweights like FCMB, Fidelity, etc. DangCem is a truck for carrying heavy load, and like all trucks, sometimes it goes for long periods of repair.
