That's the point, its only the data folder showing not permissible to modification, even my migrate back up have to be installed manually using root explorer.

When I tap, it demands that I format the sd card for it to work.

Firstly, what could be the cause of this sudden issue with sd card?

Secondly, I have files and data on that sd card that I don't want to lose. Please, is there a way to fix the issue without formatting?

that's the control panel on miui 12 and not just a theme. So it's either you wait till the official miui gets to you or go the custom Rom way

downgrade it to miui 8 stable,it running miui 10, even I was also advised to

will sort d issue, or I should return the phone to the person that Sold it to me
e gave me offer of infinix note 5 or 5000 to fix the phone, should I collect the
infinix note 5 3/32 or collect the 5k to fix the note 4 ba3 please advise me

My Mi 9t screen just blacked out our failed this evening while I was on WhatsApp. No fall, no water, nothing, just refused to come up. On screen FP not lighting up. Phone is still alive, calls come in, texts, all the sounds etc but screen dead. If it's digitizer/lcd packed up, I need it solved asap because I have loads of stuff going on with it. I've gone through your profile and I observed that you love flashing ROMs. Welcome to the ROM flashing world. But as a note of warning, once you unlock that bootloader, never try to lock it back else you'll get system has been destroyed.

This mean that once you unlock the bootloader of any Xiaomi device, you can't lock it anymore.

Xiaomi policies of catching those that are voiding warranty.

Btw: are you still in Zaria?

Hello Gurus in the house,
I have been following this thread silently.
I recently got the Redmi Note 8, I tried unlocking the bootloader but got the message "COULD'NT UNLOCK" with some Chinese inscriptions.
So i thought I will have to wait for 7 days before i could unlock, which i did.
I tried it again after 7 days and i got the same message and Chinese inscriptions. Since its not in English I dont know what it means.
I use my email to log into my account I registered with.
I have added the message i get and the Mi unlock version in the pictures below.

My purpose for wanting to root my phone is for Dolby atmos (my former Gionee phone beats this beast in terms of music output by a country mile, I cant do without good sound production which the RN8 lacks), and GCam.

Pls any assistance will be highly appreciated.
