Good Morning.

Please which exchange rate will one be judged on? is it the exchange rate on the day I submitted my application or the exchange rate on the day I book for biometric or the exchange rate on the day I pay my visa fee?

garuskoko:

I believe it's the exchange rate on the day you SUBMIT your application online to the embassy.

But I'll advise you to SUBMIT and PAY for your visa fees on the same day in order to avoid confusing yourself. See attached

I have a concern. The School Rep filled my application form and that was before i came to this platform (Before I knew I could do it myself and do not need an agent). I recently asked her to send me the filled application form and I saw that she filled "No" to if I have ever been denied visa before. I have visited the the USA before but was denied when i applied again about two years ago for no explained reasons. I have also been to the UK many times. I even spent the last Christmas there with my family. I asked her if she could change it to ''YES'' because I have being denied visa before and she says it doesn't matter. I already have an offer letter from school and also have paid the initial first deposit. Infact the only reason I requested for the application form was just to sight it. Is this an issue? And supposing i'm asked, should i just mention that the agent made a mistake? Kindly advise.......

Since your school representative said not to worry, then don't worry; you can get this in writing for your own peace of mind. This wouldn't affect your visa application; the school only wants to know (diligence checks) if you've been denied before and for what reasons to enable them know if this will affect your chances of getting a visa (if they sponsor you and you get refused a visa for certain reasons, it can affect a T4 sponsor licence in the long run). Since you've gotten a UK visa before, they are probably not worried about your chances at a T4 visa.

However, it can become a problem when you don't declare this in your visa application.
As long as you declare the refusal + refusal reason in your T4 visa application and ensure that you have all your documents and that you don't fall short of any of the T4 rules and regulations, you're good to go.

Pls does it matter if the account by which my tuition deposit is paid from is a different account (Including different account holder's name) from the one holding my tuition balance + maintenance?
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by adeniyy01: 12:58pm On Jul 10, 2020
. This can be useful too, I emailed my school to knw what's up.

Advise please

Thank you for your email and apologies for the delayed reply. I have answered your questions below for you, some of which cannot yet be confirmed:

*Please can I proceed to pay deposit of my tuition fee? Is there any update concerning the issuing of CAS for Nigeria students for September intake?

Ans We would advise you to pay your deposit as soon as possible – we will then be able to proceed with the CAS process. We are still finalising plans with regards to issuing CAS given the COVID-19 situation but will keep you updated.

* Is there any update concerning accommodation: that's, Do I need to pay for accommodation for the 14days self isolation quoted by UK government?

Ans.We do not know if you will need to quarantine for 14 days in September – things are changing very quickly in the UK. We will obviously follow government guidance and should this still be in place in September we will do all we can to support students with quarantine.

* After paying the £3000 deposit what is next for me to get CAS?

Ans. Once your deposit is paid we will send over further information about accommodation and proceed with the CAS process. You will need to submit a Genuine intention form and submit financial documents – further information as I say will be sent over to you once you have made your deposit.

* Can my wife apply for visa with me (optional)? What do I need to do?

Ans.As you are a postgraduate student you are able to bring your dependants over with you -please have a read through this guidance: https://www.gov.uk/tier-4-general-visa/family-members

* Is this correct account details to Pay to .. (kindly find the attached file) –

Ans. the attachment has not come through but bank details can be found here: https://www1.chester.ac.uk/international/fees-scholarships-and-finance/how-pay

* Is there any new update for September intake as per resumption and one on one class on campus?

Ans. We will be offering a blended approach to learning in September – this will be a mix of online and face to face sessions, so there won’t be large lectures, these will be online however we still will be delivering seminars/tutorials face to face, but rest assured you will still receive the same high quality teaching. If you aren’t able to travel in September due to restrictions in Nigeria then we will be flexible and allow you to join whenever it is possible to do so.

* if the border is not open for Nigeria students for September intake , can I deter my admission to January after paying the deposit? Also, do my course have January intake (Msc Management). This is to avoid online class from Nigeria.

Ans.You are able to defer your offer unitl the next intake, for MSc Management there is a January intake so you are more than welcome to defer, please just email applyinternational@chester.ac.uk. You do however still have plenty of time to make a decision. Your deposit is fully refundable as long as you request a refund prior to receiving a CAS from us. You can also transfer your deposit over to the January intake.

* Kindly help me to check my offer, do I still have any condition to meet up with apart from £3000 deposit?

Ans.Good news! The only condition remaining is the deposit payment!

Hope this helps!

Please let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help.

Best wishes,

Holly

It doesn't matter. You only need to show your tuition balance + maintenance in your account for the 28 days preceding the submission of your online application; you don't need to show account from which tuition deposits were made to the school.

Hi everyone.

I know CAS can be issued 3 months from course start date. Is it odd that Uni of Sunderland London (or at least the admissions staff who replied my email) said I should leave my CAS request till middle of August considering my course start date is October 19.

A previous email from the university mentioned that for students resuming in October, CAS issuance will commence from mid-July.

I have replied the officer asking if the university position has changed because I don’t see how I will be left with enough time if I leave it till August
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics: 4:09pm On Jul 10, 2020
You're right, CAS is usually processed from 3 months before course start date as long as you've fulfilled all your admission offer conditions.
Your school is in the best position to answer questions about their delay. Since you've mailed them, wait for their response on why they won't be processing CAS before then; this will help you decide on an appropriate course of action.

Good day house.

Can a sponsored post graduate student apply for visa for his/ her dependent?

Or one have to be a self-funding student to apply for dependent visa?

Does the sponsorship cover the dependents? If No, then (in my opinion) the student should get visa first and then apply for the dependents..
This is because since the company will be applying for the student seperately, it would be advisable to secure the visa first and then apply for the dependents.
But if yes, no problem, all can apply at the same time.
