Have been reading things here but didn't wanna make any comment but seeing this made me decide to comment. The truth is that some buyers/customers are very funny, they believe dey are always right. Pictures was sent b4 payment and I'm definitely sure the person who wanted the phone would have agreed to pay, for mcmayor to use his own money to secure the deal. The only issue I'm seeing here is the client has either seen a better offer elsewhere. For the refund, emmafe has already explained that his not the original owner of the item, so the truth here is that the item needs to be sold b4 money should be refunded as there isn't any money on ground.... And what's up with girls and colours, won't they end up using a pouch? angry

Honestly those who know me well know i detest refunding once you and i are very clear upon item to be purchased.

Ideally refunds should be made when item isnt as described or agreed.

Some are small entrepreneurs here and cannot afford such unexpected refunds. Money would have been used up by seller immediately after sales has been made.

This is my sincere expression on this matter not conclusion, we should always inform our clients about such things.

However, we need to hear from Emmafe.

You detest refunding but you love being funded ....inside life undecided

So i contacted a NL by the handle Emmafe who i wouldnt have loved to mention his name / handle as i am still under the believe his joking with me but customer is becoming inpatient. On Saturday at exactly 530pm a client called me... This is a client that happens to be a NLander. However she saw that i had just sold an iPhone 8 Plus 256gb for 165k. So i told her item is out of stock. She said she would personally want me to source for the item i said well... I am a busy man but i can try. I got one from this my brother which he said the deal belongs to someone elses well not my business as long as item is in good condition as i know lots of us that hustle this way. I sent 160,000 at exactly 632pm Saturday so as to secure deals as i hate it when people tell me to keep deals for them... I dont listen to that. I was playing with my kids Sunday afternoon, customer called me to ask what is / was the color of the phone then i said women don come again!! But i sent the photos to you she said OHH she had forgotten but she doesnt like black. [/b]OK she said her B.F doesnt want black. I said OK no wahala. I will have to refund you[b]. I contacted our oga that customer said she doesnt want black anymore... She wants a refund. Like joke like joke baba said he wont refund because his a third party. For those that knows me, i tend to play when on Whatsapp but when you are frustrating me, i get defensive. Well, Na my story be this make una be the judge. I dont think this should even get here at all but i just come day reason am che small boy when no reach me go come day use me play ni. Customers 160k is with you and you feel really comfortable to hold on to the money.

wildchild1 and khalazi you guys have nailed it and spoken well.

When one is searching for a deal, there are cases of color preference. So I will still put blame between McMayor and female buyer. Buyer didn't state color and likewise the buyer representative doesn't ask for color. what happened to the power of asking? and pictures was sent yet she didn't remember not to like the color until BF said he doesn't like black she now want refund. So using police to threaten him is of no use only a senseless officer will take charge on this issue.

Emmafe is a middleman in this deal, he has no final say on the deal, either McMayor accept his offer of refunding when item is sold to someone else or take the items as it is. who seek for refund based on color when deal has been sealed. Not that there was an agreement Incase buyers don't like color.


I don't support refund in this situation, unless items has a defect. Abi if na CV she will seek for refund? I trust she won't even consider that either.

Refund in cases other than Item Not As Decribed, or Not as Agreed is a FAVOR that can be considered by a Seller.. It's never qnd shouldn't be a RIGHT by the Buyer.

Maybe the Big Fish here can afford to make refunds at any point in time. But we should also consider ones at the mid and lower level of the hierarchy...
Emmafe is a noble man, im sure a refund will be made as soon as the phone is sold

I remember going to buy a phone from computer village back then, seller sold me an LG G6, I sold it to my client, he returned it saying the phone trips off at 50%, I took it back to ikeja and told the seller, he started bringing other G6 he has, we were testing them one by one and each of them had one fault or the other, I felt irritated and told the man I'm no longer interested in buying, I needed a refund, he just laughed at me and said I'm not serious, I ended up taking a G6 with smaller fault, I promised not to buy any phone from an unknown ikeja seller again..

Now imagine this, I couldn't get my money back after showing seller an obvious issue.

Please let's be consideerate in our dealings, in some places what u will hear is "that one no concern me, come collect your phone"

Emmafe has said you should wait let him sell off, I feel that's very good enough and it's the most human thing to do.

There is no case here,mcmayor, since it isn't a defective device, you would HV to wait till emmafe sells item and do a refund,nd if he paid fr dispatch to drop off at omicpets office ,you will still have to bear cost of dispatch.

When a phone has been detailed enough with specs, color, price and customer reneges because:


"I don't want xr again, I want xs or ten ten"

"I don't want 64gb again o, I want 256gb"

"I don't want yellow again, I want blue black"

No problem ooo. I'll send you your money but you go wait till I sell the phone wey you don buy

I can even be petty and show them their money in my account and not REFUND until the phone you earlier requested has been bought by another


100% of the time, they either keep the phone or understand it's their fault and wait for it to be sold


Mcmayor my oga, if you detailed the phone well enough to your seller, tell her to wait for a refund. She will goan find case and send for a dispatch for the phone. Na Sango talk am...

B4 you know it ,paddy said he will cut 15k off to accept a purple phone. And he had pictures of the same phone for 2 days b4 making up his mind.

I had to agree so I don't risk losing dispatch money or even the iphone to the driver. Till now if e call me for phone, my reply na E NO DEY cheesy

All have spoken well and to be honest, I've garnered wisdom in all that have been said. In my opinion, a refund should effected even if not immediate. Emmafe and Macmayor have established a relationship and have been dealing for years as pointed out and all that needed to be done was to be open and straightforward about the whole deal.

If I were Emmafe, I'd take the phone back, sell off and then refund. It's really not that hard. We are all business partners andmost importantly, friends (That's the way I see it). Issues like this shouldn't mar either relationship.

Heartless Niggas. Its a well planned strategy. That's y I NEVER agree to pay-on-delivery. If u can't come to me or pay delivery fee & I come to u or pay full amount + delivery fee & I send dispatch, please take your business elsewhere because my time is too precious to me to waste any second on a potential failed transaction.

All star studded companies in the world charge a restocking fee if the item has been purchased. Some even charge as high as 20% of the value of the item if it was as described. And refund takes a day or two


So waiting to get a full refund with no fee ooo shouldn't be an issue

irrational point. Mcmayor didn't take this as a business or friends matter. How can he be threatening Emmafe with police. I like going to court than police station cos we still have sensible.people at the court than.police station. They should meet in court and see if he will win the case.

Guy, chill cos you no get case. The pictures sent to you earlier were they in Black and white? Didn't you agree on the deal for a black iphone 8 plus? What you should be doing is pleading with the seller for a refund and not trying to make a case out of it cos you got no case.

@Seller, whenever you can refund him since you already agreed you will provide a refund.

I appreciate all everyone said. However I think you Anopheles know me to some extent and it's worth I address what you have said. I have called in some adults to inform them of this matter on sunday. Although If am permitted to say... Emmafe is someone i can call my son or let's say my younger brother. Infact I refunded the customer in less than 40 mins as I think I have a bigger name / image to protect which I think is more expensive well over 160k as I understand the social Media age we are in cureently in and how your imagine can me damaged fast like a wildfire to this effect was why I contacted Emma customer said he doesnt want this item anymore. No one would expect me to buy / keep an iphone 8 plus 64gb for 160k. I expected emma to say Boss, I have contacted the original seller and he / she said money had been used and I will be refunded soso day.



I brought this so we could learn. And yes we have obviously learnt. I have refunded customer immediately in less than 1hr I think

You Emmafe, you have my account details should you / the seller wish to refund me. Lord and heaven knows I even mentioned it to you to @least mention when the refund would be made. It pains me as you are someone I have mentored and even given business strategies. But yes let's say my

I have been silently following this complaint and I must say @Mcmayor, I am highly disappointed with the way you rush here to raise issue on something that isn't Emmafe's fault.

Yes, Emmafe contacted me to purchase my iPhone 8 plus 64gb. The pictures were forwarded to you before and after payment. When he contacted me that you were asking for refund, I made it clear to him that the fund has been spent. Which I showed him some proof (Not that I am obligated to). Everyone who does ebay knows that weekend is the time to buy, buy and buy. I don't collect fund from deal to be viewing it till buyer changes their mind. Money is meant to be spent.

On the issue of refund, I have promised Emmafe that I will make it on or before weekend, cos he is obviously disturbed.
