The account statement I used to get a CAS is from 9th June to 7th July. submitted my visa application on 20th of July, submitted my documents on tlscontact website on the 24th of July (with a statement of account running from 9th June to 22nd July). my appointment date is August 6th. I also intend attending the biometrics with the statement I submitted and I fresh one running from 9th June to August 5th.

You need to show that you've had the money in your account from June 22 - July 20 since that's the 28 days preceding your online application.

Based on the above, your pre-CAS statement can't be used but your account statement from June 9- July 22 as you've stated can be used (The ECO will count 28 days backwards from July 20 which is your submission date). You don't need to start a fresh 28-day count.
If your statement was printed by June 8, you can still use it for your biometrics since it won't be more than 31 days old on the date of your biometrics.

If he has to work as a taxi driver, it should be more like a part-employment where the employer treats him like an employer, not an independent contractor. Plus if the company is deducting the driver's NI contributions and tax and remitting to HMRC for the driver and evidenced in a pay slip, it can't be termed a gig economy job anymore.

Uber drivers termed gig economy because they are responsible for paying their own taxes and National Insurance contributions and must also complete a self-assessment tax return each year. Any job that allows you to do this falls under self-employment.

I'm don't know about blueline taxi but it depends largely on the employment terms as outlined above.

That is unlikely to work with tax driving, if you are a tax driver you either own your car or you hire one and you will need business insurance to do that. Applying for business insurance as a foreign student shows that you are about to circumvent your student visa rules

Working part time as a taxi driver does not mean working 20hrs a week, working as a taxi driver as a foreign student will be regarded as self employment.

I get you. I only stated a case in which it could work; if the person is employed with a proper employment contract and with all the clauses regarding regular employment.

Did the bank request any invoice from you? Because when I went to UBA I was required to provide an invoice from the school in my name and my sch did not issue me any invoice to pay tuition although I have mailed them but no reply yet.

If you have the reference, fine. Not bad idea.
If you don’t have, fine.

Just make sure the statement is genuine, the money complete. And the statement is less than 30 days old.

For some personal reasons (Especially financial) I have my reservation for a Ph.D., I do not want to start something that I might not have the financial strength to complete thereby putting all years effort in jeopardy. However, the reason for seeking your advice is owing to the fact that I have had a Master's degree in the UK in 2015, and a little bit worried if this MBA Tier 4 visa would fly considering the academic progression rules among others from UKBA.

One of the major reason why I streamlined my choice of Uni to Manchester(Salford) was because I already have someone living in Manchester that I want to stay with.

Could this be a good and strong point when asked during visa interview for the reason for my choice of uni

Yes but you should support it with other reasons & probably mention it towards the end of the interview.

You could research more about the university and city.
That way you have more factual reasons to give in addition to having a friend/family there

I was thinking that the account statement shouldn't be more than 30 days before the day of your application(online submission) not the day of your biometrics appointment..

Now I want to know considering the influx of applications now and limited appointment dates, what if the applicant couldn't find a nearer date to the appointment before the account statement 31 days validity elapses, how can one submit a fresh bank statement since he/she had already submitted all documents prior to the biometric appointment?.

4. School fees + maintenance money

(a) £1,265 per month for living costs if you are studying in inner London for the majority of your study (more than 50% of your study time)

(b) £1,015 per month for living costs if you are studying in outer London or anywhere else in the UK, for the majority of your study (more than 50% of your study time)

The money should be kept in your account for 28days weekends included (school fees + maintenance money) ending no more than
31 days before your application.


5. Add your birth certificate if using parents bank statement.

Only your father/mother or legal guidance can sponsor you

How long does it take them to get back to people who sent a mail to book an appointment.

Ok, so there are a few schools who do give sponsorship for PHD (Essex for example)..but I don't have the full details..
However since your plan is a tier-2, then you can do another masters (you are not alone.. a lot of us are going for 2nd masters, so relax your mind and go for your desired course) as long as you can justify academic progression to the school and the visa officer.. the main thing is to get the admission..once you have it, and the school confirms you meet their academic progression criteria, I believe you are good to go...Wish you the best..
