Manchester is closer to Liverpool, you can take a taxi £50 or a train ≈£10 or a bus ≈£5. All depends on your pocket and the amount of load you are carrying.

Liverpool is a great multicultural city. Roots bar(African food drink and club) a lot of African stores and a healthy amount of Nigerians.

Students of the universities usually stay in either University accommodation near the campus. Or in a shared flat In either Smithtown road or Kensington.

Don't rush to buy a sim at airport it's free.

Quite simple.... however what kind of visa are you on. For example it is not allowed for tier 4 student visa

I think i have answered this before. I am a pro birmingham advocate . Its a large place to really advise which particular area, but anywhere you choose will be fine i guess. The Behind place are ofcourse Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Aston, little Aston etc

Wolverhampton is not too far and a good commute. Then others like Edgbaston, Perry barr etc

From memory, those appointment has charges..when you select it. You see if its free or not. At the end of the day, I see TLS just making a lot of money from this Covid 19 appt.

I presently live in Birmingham.

These are some of the nice places I know in Birmingham: Sutton Coldfield, Solihull, Erdington, Edgbaston, Marston Green, Fiveways etc.

These are the places I would personally avoid: Aston, Alum rock, Newtown etc

It's quite big to be fair, so it will be difficult to have an exhaustive list.

One of those actually allow you to go in any day ,before 8am but will cost you 42k . I am not sure what it is called. With that,you can even book for tomorrow.

Ok. Here it is. Flexi allows you to walk in any day without booking an appointment.But you must come early before 8am. Prime time allows you to come anytime on your day of appointment. That is you can come in by 4pm.

I was gonna challenge you about avoiding Aston but I realised you said it’s your personal preference.

However, I share similar sentiment about Alum Rock but there are some nice/cheap places in Perry Barr and Aston area.

Handsworth, Winson green, Jewellery quarters are also close to the town centre and have good rents, restaurants, night clubs,food stores etc.

Walsall, Dudley and Wolverhampton are also very close to Birmingham and are relatively cheaper than Brum
