God bless you o, we all have our different reasons for going, everybody’s reality is different.
Let people make their own decisions without shoving yours down their throat!

naledis:
Not sure why some posts are border-line painting the option of going to study this September as a suicide mission.

For someone who is not depending on the prospects of a student job to fund their maintenance, for someone who is simply going for a degree and returning to continue their life plans, for someone whose plans are time-bound, for such persons, going ahead with study plans this September is totally fine.

Not everyone is planning to stay back. Not everyone is depending on getting a part time job to survive. Not everyone has the luxury of deferring their study plans. You can share your own reservations about study plans this year based on your own circumstances. Stop making blanket statements. Stop predicting doom and gloom. Stop projecting your fears and concerns (which may be truly valid based on your own personal circumstances)

Let people make informed decisions on their own based on facts and their personal circumstances.

Period.

FRYING PAN, FIRE and BURNING FUNANCE.

To those advising that people should postpone their studies maybe due to harsh life presently in the UK.... I love your valid firsthand advice but I laugh.

Yes it's true the temperature in the uk is as hot as a frying pan now.
But do you also know Nigeria is not just fire but a burning furnace

The good part of the whole "waiting first in Nigeria thing" is that ...
Like the ancient story of King Nebuchadnezzar .... Where he ask his men to heat the furnace more for the Hebrew boys to be thrown inside,
Our politicians in Nigeria are doing 10 times that and heating the already burning funance Nigeria for not just the current citizens but mainly for the unborn generation.

Pls for those who are thinking of taking the "risk" of moving now... You would be leaving the burning furnace. Just make sure you plan well but never wait for the tides to calm down before jumping because it's only going to get hotter.

I agree with the things u have said however some medical experts believe covid 19 may be worse during winter. January and February are the coldest winter months in the UK so anyone planning to defer till Jan should consider it carefully b4 deciding unless you want to wait till Sep 2021.

However if a vaccine or an effective cure comes out before then it changes the whole situation.

You guys should be optimistic in this forum. Over 200+ vaccines are undergoing clinical trials. Some are already at the last phase of trials and have been successful.

Calm down mummies and daddies. Less tension.

lol y’all though grin.
You realise that an opinion cannot be “forced” down your throat? You can only do that yourself.

Someone that’s 100% determined for this September intake wether under rain or sunshine, will not even bother reading all these “forceful” suggestions. It’s only an indecisive person that has not started any serious process (eg visa), that will bother to ponder on the opinions here.

No one has said you shouldn’t continue with your plans.
It was only a mere suggestion from different monikers and nothing more. It shouldn’t change anything if you already got your way figured.

Let’s not be easily offended please smiley

The difference is less than £250. Instead of paying money into your account and restarting the count, it makes more sense to pay the Uni a bit more. Do £500-1k if you can.

This would increase your deposit and reduce the amount you need to show.

There's a way out not mentioned in the email. If you have not paid up your tuition, you could pay an additional amount towards that. That way you avoid having to wait a further 28 days

My advice to every prospective UK students like me is to fly out of this country as soon as possible. There's nothing we will encounter in UK that will be worse than what we are already facing in Nigeria now.

If you have the fund, use it now and leave before something unfortunate happens e.g parents falling grievously sick and in need of money etc.

Nigeria is worse..

How about you falling grievously sick ? I guess your parents would rather spend the money on your medical bills than leaving Nigeria with the money.

Shocken thing to think about let a lone post in public

If the Husband and wife are applying for TIER 4 and Tier 4 Dependant visas respectively at the same time(same biometric date), can the dependant come to the UK like 2 months after the applicant has started his course of study? Thanks.

Hello guys.

Does one need to submit bank statement with the total tuition + maintenance for CAS? Does the 28 day rule also apply for CAS?

Also, for Visa, can I withdraw funds from my account as soon as the 28 days are over and I've submitted my application? Do they do verification checks with banks?

Pls help a sister out.

Thanks
