I can easily tell these two apart having held both at same time.



Hedgehog(known as idiot by many Nigerians) is smaller in body size. It quills are shorter but fuller.

While growing up, we used to see them while going to 5:AM mass.

Porcupine on the other hand is bigger, has visible tail and longer quills.

Killed it when I was 15 and its still the sweetest bushmeat I have tasted till date.

Also, some of them are associated with specific geographical locations.

The bison, alligator and jaguar are new world animals: they're found in the wild exclusively in the Americas. The alligator being an exception can be found exclusively in the US and also in China. There are no alligators in Africa.

The leopard, crocodile and Cape buffalo are old world animals; Cape buffalos roam the continent of Africa while the leopard and crocodile can be found both in Africa, Asia and Australia.

I know many people who are old and still watch cartoons, although peeps of nowadays prefer anime(i only like Naruto, Tokyo Ghouls and Death Note), people still love cartoons, though I miss fairly odd parents.

Lol. Same here, except on close observation, I will still call it a crocodile. I tend to call all of them crocodiles, easier to pronounce. Small crocodile, big crocodile...
